Able Movers

Able Movers did a great job moving us from our old home to our current home. They were on time, very professional, and hard working.
This is not what impressed me about them… Accidents happen, and in the process of the move, the screens on one of our TVs shattered. Tim was 100% honest, admitted he was to blame, and immediately let us know he would replace it for us. He touched base with us the next day and asked for another day or two to shop for TV. He was in constant communication with me, which kept me at ease. He ended up giving us the money for what our TV was worth, so we could put it towards a new TV.
I would definitely recommend Tim and Able Movers. They are honest with no surprise charges at the end of the move!

Able Movers did a great job for us. They were professional, fast moving, but very careful at the same time. They moved some very heavy and huge furniture pieces for us and they made it look so easy. The movers (Tim and Kelly) were both very personable and very nice. We told them they would need to come back on Thursday to help move the furniture back after the flooring was finished. We called back a day early and they still came at night! That’s customer service!

Between my friends and I we have used Able Movers about 6 times. I moved yesterday, and was disappointed that I was unable to use them because they did not answer ANY calls up to over a week in advance, they also did not return any messages or emails.
Here’s my review from the last time I used them:
Pros — these guys are fast! No screwing around or wasted time. They are careful and nothing got damaged. Also they are always very friendly. The price is also in line with many of the other loving services.
Cons — They were almost an hour late. The office is very hard to get ahold of. I know it is a very small operation, but at least forward a phone to someone’s cell.

I used Able Movers to unload a Door To Door storage box pod. Here’s the pros, cons, and details.
PROS:
*Licensed and Insured
*Have a BBB rating of ‘A’
*Extremely careful /​no damage
*Set up our beds, as they had extra time
*Competitive rates ($ 100 for 2 movers /​2 hours)
*Tim and Kelly (movers) were super friendly and awesome at their jobs
CONS:
(I use the term lightly; these are more like constructive criticism since they aren’t huge negatives, nor did they adversely affect the overall service of moving our belongings)
*Office communication isn’t prompt
*The movers’ shoes /​dolly wheels left (removable) rubber marks on our laminate floors
DETAILS:
I secured my 2 movers /​2 hours reservation online a week in advance (Wed); Jeanne called Friday evening to confirm and secure my desired time. I needed to change the moving time and it took multiple tries throughout the day to get in touch with the office; if your message isn’t returned, just keep calling at different times and eventually someone answers.
Besides the high ratings on various moving sites, my primary reason for choosing Able Movers was that they are licensed AND insured. This was extremely important to me because the furniture to be moved — up a flight of stairs and navigated around a tight concrete stucco block corner — was an heirloom mahogany (HEAVY) bedroom set.
I verified that *if* damage occurred to my furniture, they’d be able to address it appropriately (repair or replace); the majority of high rated — unlicensed /​uninsured — movers could not say the same.
Thankfully claims weren’t necessary, as Tim and Kelly were stupendous… the care and attention they showed our furniture was extremely impressive; they seemed as concerned and as particular as my husband and I! We were paranoid and watched them closely and are thrilled to say that not a bump, scratch, scrape or ding occurred (THANK YOU!) to our furniture or floors. :-D
They arrived promptly at the scheduled time and unloaded our box in less than ½ an hour (!!!) and spent time putting our beds together and arranging everything exactly where we wanted it, folding moving blankets, and clearing trash. Even with all that amazing work they had ½ an hour to spare!
I definitely recommend Able Movers to anyone who has valuable furniture and wants peace of mind as its being moved. Tim and Kelly were worth every penny (and then some)!
