Jared and his team just finished our kitchen remodel that we had to take on due to water damage. They removed old cabinets, changed one wall, removed soffits and finished the ceiling, re-​did a majority of the electrical, then installed cabinets, backsplash and coordinated the install of the granite counter tops.
The quality of the work was consistently high. While there were several minor re-​touches required, Jared was always responsive and came back to take care of these quickly.
Timing of the project was reasonable. The work finished within the overall time frame as promised in the beginning, with some additional delay due to issues in the cabinet delivery (not related to Jared). There were days where there was not much activity, so be ready to understand that they are running multiple projects.
One thing I really liked about Jared is that he is very organized, and is a strong communicator. He uses an on-​line tool to keep track of activities, and is accessible via SMS or email at all hours. Sending him a picture with details is usually sufficient for him to take the remedial action.
Another good reason to work with Jared is that he and his teams were always, and I mean always, courteous, clean, on time. We always felt safe and comfortable with the team working in the home. This was an important consideration when we travel and have kids in the house.
Jared’s crews are quite experienced and knowledgable. So expect to pay market rate for the services.

I spoke with Jared on the phone, and although my project was a little too small for what he normally tackles, he was nice enough to follow up with an email giving me the contact information for some guys he recommended. I appreciate him going out of his way to help me out. It’s rare to find that kind of courtesy.

Jared walked my husband and I through a total transformation of our kitchen. It was our first time doing any major construction and we picked the right guy to help us. As construction novices, we needed a lot of help understanding the process. Jared was kind enough to spend many hours with us to make sure we understood what was happening when and how that would impact the house.
The result, an amazing kitchen. Jared was not happy unless we were happy.
I found Jared through word of mouth. Most of his business is that way. He doesn’t have to advertise because he is that good. I chided him for not having that much of an online presence so I could vet him, but the fact is he doesn’t need it because he will be busy just from referrals.
Moreover, he’s a local, friendly, Scotts Valley resident. He is vested in the community. When we go to do our deck and our Master Bath, Jared is our guy. He really did make this process tolerable.

Jared Lewis Construction gutted and remodeled a home that my in-​laws purchased long distance with intent to move in after it was gutted & remodeled with hopes of that being only 4 weeks. Jared was very honest when saying it was almost impossible to gut the entire house and do everything we wanted in 4 weeks time. He completed the job as planned (with hours to spare :)) and was a true professional throughout. His communication was superb, he stayed within budget, and he worked very long hours. I would absolutely recommend him for any sized job because he did such amazing work for me.

We just completed our very first remodeling job to our house. We added a floor creating a new room, and created a new pantry. We got quotes from several contractors but Jared’s customer service won us over and we decided on using him. Boy, are we glad we did. Jared was really good at communicating along the way. At the end of the day he would either stop by or call to follow up on what was done that day and what would happen next. Being first time remodelers this constant line of communication was helpful and important to us. As for timing, Jared was on time with no surprises. At the end of the work day his crew cleaned up with minimal mess left behind. Ownership of the job, this is what impressed us the most. If there were any quality issues either with his crew or with the subcontractors, Jared followed up to make sure they were corrected; almost as if it were his own home being worked on. I think this is important quality. At the end of our remodel we were so happy that were thinking of what other projects we could use Jared for. We would definitely recommend using Jared and his crew!
