The owner Mark is friendly and extremely knowledgeable about all the ends and outs of catching a wave. He is a long time resident of the area and knows what equipment works best for what people, in what conditions. Whether it’s enjoying the surf at the local beach break or preparing for a once in a lifetime trip to Tahiti, Mark and his crew at Nor’easter have got you covered. Unlike other establishments, Nor’easter maintains a great reputation with board makers the world over. This shop has a constant flow of new boards, wetsuits, clothing, and accessories to meet all your needs. And if you can’t find what you’re looking for, just ask and you shall receive.
Other reviewers claim poor customer service, but I’ve never had a complaint in all the times I’ve stopped in to get my boarding fix. From SUP boards to skateboards, wetsuits and booties, Nor’easter has helped outfit me with the right gear and knowledge to catch a wave in style and with confidence. Indeed it is «the South Shore’s premier Surf Shop, serving the New England SURF, SUP and SKATE community since the days of «glass-on’s.»

Surf shop has everything you need… But, people in the shop are punks with 0 customer service. I have been in the shop 3 times and bought a $ 800 board and later a winter wet suit for more money. 3^rd time was a charm. Will spend my money elsewhere.

Customer service is not a priority at all. My son ordered a board in May for the summer — it is now August and it hasn’t arrived. For over a month the owner has told me «should be a few more days.» His excuse — no respect for surf shops in New England from surf companies. Really. He had no problem getting a 12 year old excited about ordering a board but doesn’t return phone calls and is an endless source of excuses rather than actually following up and getting answers. There are other surf shops around — avoid this one. I wish my family had.

Got to love these guys, they have great selection of gear for all surfers and the folks there have friendly and informative (unlike some of the other shops around).
They also have a big selections of SUPs (one of the biggest in New England).
Mark K (the owner) also throws a few parties for the surfing community through the year, you going to get your best prices on all surfing hardware at his shop.
