Four Points by Sheraton Chicago O’Hare Airport

$ 88 a night try different booking sites Expedia ect.$ 6 parking 24hour shuttle every 20min bar always has hot stuartist drinking their sucky life away and no deposit for incidentals and right off freeway and gas station next door has a subway Dunkin Donuts and liquor wut else do u want luxury pay more money like a hundred more ans go to 4 star cheapskate

We had parked our car in the parking lot (which is supposed to be safe and gated) of this hotel for the Thanksgiving weekend as we were taking a flight out of Chicago. Seems there was an accident near the parking lot on the highway and our car was badly hit by the debris. No one from the hotel bothered to call us and even inform about it. When we came back after 3 days we see our car in this condition and were highly upset. To top it all the hotel people are not even ready to pay for the damage though it was in their parking lot. No idea what are they taking the money for! No cooperation, no help and now we have a car with bad damages without any fault of ours. The gated parking is of no use and your car is at risk which the hotel will not own for. Please think twice before you park your car here. I would expect much more from Sheraton! Very disappointing.

When you walk in the hotel you think you are going to get a nice beautiful room. The front lobby is gorgeous and kind of modern looking. The elevator I used to get to my room had the supply closet and the house keeping room right in front of it. It was hot walking to and from the elevator and the lobby, nats were flying around and it was stale smelling. Now one good thing about that room is the AC worked really good. I have never seen a hotel room with popcorn ceiling and popcorn walls. Yooooooooo the TV was analog and had snow, not a clear picture at all. No good channels to watch on a snowy TV. Customer service was ok. The restaurant food was surprisingly delicious and they get one star for this. I will never ever stay at another Four Points Hotel.

To say that this was a luxurious hotel with high-​profile amenities would, of course, be a stretch. The Four Points by O’Hare is decent, and worth a night’s stay if you’re going to have quick in/​out in the Chicago area.
The staff appeared pleasant and courteous at check-​in. We did not associate or require a lot from them. It was very easy to get in and to are room with very little wait. Our room was clean, and minimal. There wasn’t a whole lot to it. We got a ‘deluxe’ room which meant — unlike those barren regular rooms — we had a small white fridge… By our bed. We were truly living it ‘deluxe’. Unfortunately, never used it.
We actually ordered dinner from their attached restaurant ‘Mirage’. It was… pricey for what you get. We ordered…
* Mozzarella Sticks — which was about $ 8.00 for three.
* Chicken Alfredo — it was approx. $ 15 for a decent portion, but not the best. I’d say below ‘Olive Garden’ quality.
I’ll say, my wife and I usually enjoy staying in hotels on little getaways, but had a hard time sleeping here. We were on the 4^th floor and there was some noise issues, plus are bed was not all that comfortable. Now, I will say this, do not discredit them for a bad mattress. I know that many people have different preferences on mattress style and such so one may find better sleep on it than we did.
All-​in-​all, would I stay here again? Probably. I’ll just eat in town. This a fine hotel for those — like us — who just need a place to crash at the end of the day from being in the city. You save hundreds just traveling to this hotel opposed to staying in the city itself.

Last minute booking from airport due to flight «issues». The free shuttle is a plus but most hotels provide it that are in vicinity. The hotel lobby and clean. The staff is friendly. The room isn’t very clean and the rooms are in need of updating badly. Bathroom wasn’t very clean and tv did work. They were helpful with repairing tv immediately. If you need a short stay on a budget it’s not a bad choice but there are so many options in the area… Nothing special here

Price is normal, but hotel is a little old ，room looks not not advanced parking per day 6 dollars

Hello I’m creepy Mitch and instead of being cool Mitch who could’ve stayed another night at a trendy downtown hotel with a great view of the lake and the river; I decided to stay at the hotel off the highway by the airport. I can almost see the planes taking off through the dingy windows. And instead of having a sunny roof top swimming pool, I am lounging next to the 1970’s dingy indoor pool with the environment friendly algae glaze. And who needs valet when there’s 18 wheelers parked out back.
I wish the above was a joke, but it’s not. The staff gets 2 stars for being friendly and helpful as possible (under the circumstances). The positive is I get Sheraton points with my stay. :(
And I reluctantly realized that my childhood wasn’t as great as I thought it was back in the 70’s.

Def get their chocolate chip pancakes at breakfast — they are amazing. Otherwise clean hotel, friendly customer service, and nothing to complain or write home to Mom about.
Final Verdict:
Fine place to stay!

When my wife and I arrived at this hotel we noticed loud music coming from a function they were having downstairs near the lobby. They put us up on the 6^th floor so we thought that we wouldn’t hear it. We had just a short time here as we needed to get up for a 5:00 flight. When we settled down to go to sleep all we could hear is a thumping of the bass from the music, so we called down and they told us it would continue until midnight. So if you are coming to this hotel for a good night sleep I would stay elsewhere. We do not recommend it.

For a 3 star rated hotel by the airport this is exactly what we were expecting. Nothing fancy but room was clean and big. Free shuttle to the airport and free wifi. Good stay for an early flight.

Worst hotel stay I’ve had in a while — will never stay at a Starwood hotel. I had no choice but to stay here for work.
1. Room — had a pungent smell. Comparable to awful, old, stagnant body odor. As soon as you opened the door it smacked you in the face. My room couldn’t be switched and each time I called guest services to have an air freshener brought up I waited over 30 minutes. The bed skirts also had stains. How to fix this: allow for rooms to be aired out; clean your carpets and curtains, change ALL your linens.
2. «Green program” — awful communication of it. Not once during my 3 night stay did housekeeping change my sheets or provide towels. Upon intense googling I discovered their «make it green» choice. No where in their in-​room materials is this program mentioned. How to fix this; make it known in your programs/​in-​room materials, add a little sign to the bathroom/​desk like other hotels do to inform guests.
3. Restaurant — I found a fake nail in my salad. This is all. The hostess profusely apologized, thank you for that. I also received my glass of wine complimentary, I guess thank you. Neither are consolation for risking my life and your health code violation. How to fix this: I am at a loss.
UPDATE to point #1 — I was provided with a new room. Very large spider encountered & the bed skirt again had stains. To the kind woman who made this room change happen, I sincerely thank you.
I strongly urge Starwood to take a look at this location and the management of the actual room keeping. Disgusting accommodations.

I checked out and the girl that checked me out didn’t even bother asking «how was your stay,» which is common practice across the hotel industry. My guess is that she knew my reaction would turn off the guests checking-​in in the next line over? Anyway, I found that shady.
I will also say that on my checkout date the housekeeping came barging in at 8:30 AM in the morning, and then again at just after 10 and AGAIN at 11ish. WTF?! Checkout is at noon!!! What is wrong with these people?! There seems to be no information transfer between the FDS and the housekeeping staff. Moreover, it seems that there’s no etiquette training for the housekeeping staff and that they march to the beat of their own drums. Highly annoying. They practically ruined my stay with their unprofessional loitering, barging in at the top of the morning and various intervals thereafter. and the weird staring. Never ever coming back here. I would’ve been more comfortable sleeping at the airport. Shame on Sheraton for associating themselves with this crummy place. Shame.

Not a good hotel. After visiting this place on a park n’ fly deal, I can safely say I’m overjoyed to have stayed only one night. It’s difficult to understand how a place like this can earn the Sheraton name.
First of all, the musty smell. It permeates the entire place, especially the rooms. Anyone with allergies needs to stay far, far away from this hotel. I had trouble sleeping and I’m usually flexible with that kind of thing. My fiancé on the other hand was in misery the whole night.
The rooms are strictly Super 8. Nothing «Sheraton» about them. Again, how does Sheraton justify this dump carrying their brand? Gross bathrooms, zero ambiance. Terrible décor — if it can be called that. It’s like sleeping in a warehouse. Charming.
I found it amusing to look at the events board in the lobby. «No events scheduled.»
No doubt. I can think of no quicker way to lose business than to host a conference here.
They have a pool. Maybe it’s nice, I don’t know. I would sooner punch needles into my eyes than trust this place to disinfect their pool water.
I received a good deal on this stay and now I know why. Please, take my advice and spend a few extra bucks for a decent hotel.

My wife son and I stayed here for a wedding. The banquet staff was great and was professional. Food was 7 out of 10. The house keeping staff was very nice as well but they had no service elevator so the 3 tiny elevators the hotel had were multi-​task with people mvement. Rooms were as clean as they could be being, so out dated, even thought we think we stayed in and «updated room»
Front desk staff were cold and a bit unfriendly.
I would not stay here again. Maybe visit for a wedding but that would be all.

«You get what you pay for» never more true than when you stay out by the airport. I wasn’t expecting much but this location was even less than expected. It’s clean enough and offers an airport shuttle. The rooms have the kind of lighting that (tiny lamps, no overhead) offer a kind of «what it’s like to be legally blind» experience.

I am completely ignoring the rule of «if you have nothing nice to say don’t say anything at all».
This hotel is an absolute DUMP!!!
I stayed here for one night, due to several cancellations at O’Hare airport. The shuttle was easy to find and get onto, but once I checked in I was horrified!
Like other reviewers stated, the lobby is the best part of the hotel. Once you get to your room you will notice how disgusting everything is. I never took my socks off due to the carpet being dirty and stained everywhere. The chair that was used for the desk was too warn and needed to be thrown out immediately. Look at the picture and tell me what other hotel would keep that in their room for people to sit on?
I was looking forward to a shower, but took one look at the tub and decided that me not showering was much cleaner than me getting in! The tub had cracks all over it and was «painted over», if you touched the tub, paint flakes would go everywhere. There were chips on the tile and tub… it was so dirty!
I decided to get out of the room and go to «The Mirage» (don’t even get me started on this establishment). On my way down the halls I noticed filth everywhere! There were two abandoned housekeeping carts just sitting in a hallway and LEAVES everywhere from the door being open. The hallways were filthy and there was garbage everywhere! I went down the staircase, as the elevators are a little wonky here. Again absolute filth in the staircase, as I got down to the first floor there were homeless people outside of the door smoking (cigarettes or crack I couldn’t tell!).
I did not feel safe in this hotel! I’ve never stayed at a hotel in this condition and it NOT because of renovations. They really need to clean up their act and put stuff away. I have no idea how this place is still in business. The manager should be ashamed of the way they present themselves.

Disappointed in this hotel, definitely one of the weaker locations of the Four Points Sheraton brand. Room was mostly clean. There were areas of the carpet that clearly hadn’t been vacuumed in some time (edging of chairs /​furniture that has obviously never been moved). Bed spreads and other fabrics were a bit worn.
Biggest drawback is that there is NOTHING within walking distance for food /​beverage.
Would not stay here again. Will have to research better affordable options near O’Hare.

Well… where do I start. I’m going to have to write this one differently. The good and bad itemized. We spent several nights here which this review is based on.
The good:
— While I have found it hit and miss, in general most staff are quite helpful.
— The beds. For some reason they are really comfortable and I always woke up without a sore neck or back which you get in some hotels.
— That’s it for the good I’m afraid.
The bad: (Go make yourself a coffee… this is gonna take a while.)
— We arrive and checkin. Give credit card and ID etc. This place is under renovation and they were painting when we arrived. I was ‘high’ by the time I reached the elevators from the fumes!
— Go to (non-​smoking) room and it smells like stale cigarette smoke. I figure maybe it’s me and it was closed a while so leave it. Go have dinner, come back and the smell hits us in the face again as soon as you walk in. We complain and they advise we can change rooms. Go downstairs, get another key, go up to new room only to get ‘high’ again by paint fumes pouring out the door. Another trip downstairs (crack it) and we get another room on another level which is fine.
— I hear a gazillion sirens going off and I think a plane has crashed at O’hare across the road. Seriously… think some firefighter movie when there are a bunch of trucks with screaming sirens. I look out the window only to find 5 massive trucks pulling up outside the hotel. I figure the toxic paint fumes going through the hotel have set off the alarms.
— The building is filthy and old. Carpets, walls, roof… Everything needs to be done. Shower is rusted and shower screen was a bit broken in our room. However they replaced it towards the end of our stay and got ‘high’ (again) on the smell of new plastic toxic fumes that filled the room from the brand new screen.
— The only renovation that will fix this hotel is dynamite and a wrecking ball. Seriously! You can roll dog doo-​doo in glitter but it’s still dog doo-​doo!
— No fridge in the room. The first hotel in my whole trip anywhere in the US that didn’t have a fridge.
— Received unrequested 6am wake up calls on two of our mornings!
— Lucky for us the phone stopped working after the second one so we didn’t get any more. (I put this under ‘bad list’ as technically the phone stopped working and we couldn’t use it when needed either.)
— The walls and doors are way too thin. You hear everything including all the drunk people coming from downstairs and standing around in the halls when the bar closes ~1−2am.
— There is really nothing around this hotel. You can’t walk anywhere. You will always need transport.
— This hotel is really not worth the good money you pay for it. I am really surprised that Sheraton /​SPG Starwood would attach their name to it.
— On our last night, we had music thumping through the hotel from a function downstairs. We had to get up at 4am for a flight in the morning and no way to sleep. We complained a little after 10pm and were told it would be over within an hour. Well after another 2 calls to the front desk, I demanded a call from the hotel manager the following day which they said would be no problem. The call never came. The music finally stopped at 2am just a couple of hours before I had to get up for my flight. Function guests were also shouting and fighting in the corridors outside our room which security had to be called for. The following morning had open alcohol bottles all over the hotel and overflowing fast food rubbish from the bins at the hotel’s entrance.
— It’s absolutely ridiculous that an airport hotel would do functions like this especially considering airlines use it for pilot and crew layovers. I was seriously hoping my pilot wasn’t staying there that night too!
— As a process and customer experience specialist for a multi-​billion dollar company (in my day job), it is quite evident that the issues with this hotel lie solely with the hotel management and the processes they have in-​place. I don’t think the staff are empowered to do anything different other than obey the profiteering drive coming from higher up.
Change the hotel management and this will be a step in the right direction.

We crashed here before an early Sunday am flight. There was a loud wedding going on when we arrived. But prompt service at front desk. Hallways were under construction looking with chunks of ceiling falling out. One of the elevators was out of order. Pool was under construction — not that we were going to swim.
Our room was decent but the pix online looked like a different place entirely. A king bed for 88 bucks including taxes seemed like a great deal.
Found a pube on the sink counter. NOT OK.
No variety in pillows. All massive fluffy ones that give you a stiff neck.
Expected more from a sheraton brand

Talk about an outdated hotel! The lobby was fine but the rooms, they lacked luster. My bathroom was not nice. The toilet was really low to the floor (I was pregnant while staying there so this was especially not a perk for me) and it also flushed strangely. The shower head looked like it was coming out of the wall. There was someone else’s hair on the back of the bathroom door too. The carpet was very worn and even had some holes in it. What was with the strange round light on the wall? I also thought the place had a strange smell to it too.
I was at this hotel for some meetings and our room was freezing cold due to the people in the room next to us wanting to keep his students awake. We had to ask the staff to turn up the heat and they literally had to climb on the roof and restart the furnaces. Wow is all I can say there!
I would love to say I will never stay here again but well, this is a common place for our meetings so unfortunately, I may not get the choice.
