total dive located in the not-​so-​nice section of Schenectady. but all that is easy to overlook because you can get two slices of terrific cheese pizza and a soda for $ 4 all day, everyday. and their wings and meatball parm sub is wicked good, too.

I have been a huge fan of newest my whole life so yes I am biased — I had ordered a sub the other night that was so enormous I had to remove about ½ the meat just to get it in my big mouth. I took a photo to show my husband figured it would upload it. Now to figure out how to actually do it…

Newest Pizza is a little pizza joint located on the other side of the wall from Newest Lunch (serving great hot dogs with counter service). The two businesses are connected inside from behind the counter with separate exterior entrances. The place is small with only a couple tables in the front windows.
I had lunch here recently and ordered the 2 Cheese Slices & Fountain Drink (Diet Pepsi) Special ($ 4). I was served fresh pizza slices hot out of the oven. The pizza slices were good with a slight salty taste, but very greasy. I needed a few napkins to soak up the grease on top. The thin crust was firm, topped with a good tomato sauce, and lots of melted browned cheese. The service was efficient and prompt.
