I needed a haircut desperately since it’s starting to get warmer out. I wanted to get my hair cut and donate my hair. I ended up getting a pedicure, manicure, and haircut. The salon uses a lot of natural stuff for their services. For example, I was massaged on the legs and hands with Coconut Oil, Apple Cider Vinegar, etc. It’s nice because I don’t feel all«chemicall-y» after I leave like most places. I would say the manicure and pedicure are pretty standard but I liked how they really take their time with the services. Ms J who did all of my services talked enough to know a little bit about me and my life but she didn’t ask too many questions where I felt uncomfortable. It’s also nice going to a place where everyone speaks perfect English. I know it’s a weird thing to judge a salon on, but being able to communicate your preferences for a pedicure, manicure, and hair salon is important to me. I got 9 inches cut and because I was donating it, Ms. J put my hair in pigtails, cut it and then washed my hair since you hair needs to be dry to donate. It’s been a few weeks and I can say that I still love my haircut. It’s so much easier to work with now that it’s shorter. I wish it was a tad longer but that wasn’t an option since I barely met the minimum length requirements as is. Plus hair grows, it will be the length I want in a few more weeks. I recently moved to Schenectady and probably will continue going here unless I end up moving again. The location is very convenient on Union Street right by Jay Street and there is ample street parking.

Went to Ms. J’s to get my haircut and highlights done. I am in love with my hair it looks amazing. Jo did my hair and she is great. She is a wonderful woman with a kind heart. She took her time with my hair. She made sure that I truly liked the way it came out. She would of done anything to make it exactly how I wanted it. The salon is nice. They offer nail services as well. Will definitely go back!

This salon is awesome! I’m new to the area and hadn’t found a good salon yet… until I came here. I called. A day ahead and left a message to make an appointment, they got back to me promptly. They had JUST opened when I arrived and had a fresh pot of coffee ready and waiting! I got a mani/pedi with Ms. Danielle, who was so welcoming, fun and precise. Also, they had a deal going, both for $ 30! Danielle’s mom, Ms. Janet was also there, she was working the front desk, and also cuts hair there, she was also so welcoming and gave me so much info on current and upcoming specials. Bottom line, the salon is super cute, quiet and family owned, it was a great experience and I can’t wait to go back again!

I’m in town for a week as an actor with the show Jersey Boys at the Proctor’s theater. I found this business because it was a short walk from the theater– and I could not be more thrilled! My manicure and pedicure look fantastic, and I had a great time talking to the two sisters who are in business together at the salon. Felt very at home in their spa :)
