I wasn’t really looking, but stumbled upon a sale of $ 5 for the small jars, so I purchased 2 of them. I wanted the Black Cherry in that size, but they were completely out; not there fault just bad timing. I am glad there were a few things on sale, in a store/company that usually is quite expensive. Thanks to the cashier for cutting the wick on my candles for me.

My fiancé and I visited this location in search of a birthday present for mother and was instantly helped by Beth. Beth took the time to show is a variety of options, wasn’t pushy by any means and even took the time gift wrap/shrink wrap the present. It’s very tough to find great customer service nowadays and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit!

The smells lured me in and I had a great experience here. The staff was super knowledgeable and helpful in decoding the somewhat cryptic pricing guide(you have to know the size to know the price, but you don’t know the size unless you look at the guide– got it?). After being lured in my the sweet, sweet smells we were able to pick out a couple of candles and a few car scent hangy-things. I, of course, went with the Balsam and Pine for the car smell because who doesn’t like fresh pine smell? I haven’t actually been into a Yankee Candle in a few years, and I enjoyed out quick stop in here with great customer service. I’ve been really lucky and fortunate lately with customer service and this place had their act together. If you find yourself in a trance-like state following your nose, just keep going, you’ll be glad you did.

Like any normal woman, I enjoy scented candles. A lot. Probably an unhealthy amount… but this review isn’t about my compulsions. I had a coupon for $ 10 off a $ 25 or more purchase so I decided to buy larger candles instead of tealights. Thank god I did. I wouldnt have this giant Cookies and Cream candle. The staff were friendly and helpful, and even said we were the highlight of their day(my friends are kind of awesome). It’s kind of hard to stay in a store that smells that strong so if you can’t handle it… browse online then come in with a set plan on what to sniff and purchase. You’ll spend a lot less time in here with a plan.

If you’re strolling through the mall and you smell something outstanding it’s probably about five million billion different scents of candles that are slightly overpowering while you’re in the store, but still nice enough that you won’t mind shopping there. The employees may seem a little standoffish but if you ask them their opinions on candles they’ve got quite a few of them for you and they’ll show you more than you’re probably even looking for. In fact, once we asked someone a couple of questions they were touring us around the entire store and I almost wanted to tell em to bug off! Yankee Candles ANYWHERE you go are going to be expensive, but they are a QUALITY candle brand and always my first choice in the matter. They have everything from scented tea candles to big jars, and air fresheners. They also have holiday themed candles. Some of them you may even want to eat. It’s not a huge store(there’s a larger one in Arlington Heights) but it’s definatley a place you want to stop if you’re looking for a little extra something to light up your home.
