Forth & Towne

Forth & Towne is the newest concept by the Gap (although I don’t think they take your Gap card). This store is fantastic! They have four different lines: casual, corporate casual, professional & evening… the prices are similar to Gap/​Banana Republic, but the styles are a little different.
The atmosphere is wonderful! If you’ve got an armload of clothes while you’re walking around, an associate will ‘get a room started for you’. You go to the fitting rooms and they offer you bottled water. The fitting rooms are very large and each has a vanity table in them. It’s like shopping in the days when people actually cared about service!
Their clearance racks are amazing! The price cuts are huge on some items! I found a skirt that originally sold for $ 54, on clearance for $ 9.99! They are also realistic about sizing, it’s not like shopping at Express… they go up to 18 or 20.
I recommend stopping in, it’s upstairs at Woodfield, although at the moment I cannot remember what it’s near (it’ll come to me as soon as I post, right?). I hear they are already getting ready to close some of these stores and I would hate to see them go.
Oh, and if you sign up for their rewards program, once you spend $ 500, you get 10% off forever! That’s a deal! Yes, for me it’ll take a while to get to $ 500, but I promise, if they stick around for another year or so, I’ll be there.
