Purchased a gift certificate for my mother in May of 2011. In May of 2012 my mom wanted to use the gift certificate but could not locate it. Thinking this wouldn’t be a problem she went to the store and explained she had lost the gift certifcate but had never used it and if they would look into their records they would see this. They said if you don’t have the gift certificate then too bad get the H*!! out because that’s not their problem. I then found the receipt and called explaining it was a mothers day present and I could verify I had pain. They then told me it’s not their job to keep track of everyone gift certificates! Now I am a Business Banker and work with a lot of business and I can say YES it is their job to keep track of everyones gift certificate. Otherwise what is from stopping someone from reproducing said gift certificate and ripping off the merchant. Most companies keep a log they can match up with the certificate so they know if it has or has no been used. Well, if they can’t manage such a simple thing I wouldn’t trust them to plant a dandilion in my yard. Never use this company and if you do don’t say you weren’t warned!!!
