A much anticipated family fishing outing! Last Friday we fished the Raystown branch of the Juniata River in Warriors Path State Park. The scenery – beautiful and serene, especially as the early morning fog lifted a little bit and allowed for some cool photos. It was very quiet during the ~4 hours we spent in the area, and I recall seeing only 4 other people while we fished, all of whom, incidentally, kept a respectful distance and noise at a minimum. Fish photos are courtesy of my brother and sister-in-law because, well, my husband and I aren’t winning any angling trophies any time soon. Actually, I’m told the catches from this week, after my guy and I had left town, were more impressive: my brother, sis-in-law, and dad went back out to the same fishing spot with heavier line and all reeled in catfish well over 20″ long. A shame they didn’t keep and cook the cats though; I would have vetoed that poor decision! Now, I’m off to practice my casting…
