These people are racist fucks. Don’t come here if you are brown. Food is shitty, I’d much rather go to corner Chinese food in middle of nowhere then eat shitty«Thai» food. Shitty service, rude servers.

Really good food quality and a great customer service! I ordered a pad thai and it took forever to finish it. It was at least two meals worth of food. The garlic meat(shrimp) was something new to me, but the broth(or soup?) was really good. I will always go back to this place for some great thai food.

Was there at lunch just now. My bill was $ 13 and change. I put a twenty in the leather pad. They brought back a five, a one and coins. I left the five as a very generous tip on $ 13. The waiter chased me to my car.,…he came out twice saying I couldn’t pay $ 13 tab with $ 5. These people are too stupid to run a restaurant. He said the OWNER sent him to me cause I didn’t pay! I guess I was the stupid one to leave a $ 5 tip

Outstanding Thai food. I had the red curry w/shrimp. So flavorful and fresh. I can’t recall what my friend ordered but it was equally delicious. The spring rolls were also delicious and fresh. We split the sweet rice w/mango dessert. The mangos were so sweet, perfectly ripe. The dessert was a bit pricey at $ 7.95 but the entrees were reasonably priced. Unlike our experience at The Florence, the service here was friendly, welcoming and quick. I’d definitely return here(unlike The Florence).

King & I — is king! Great service, good portions, great food Don’t make the mistake of trying to season the food. It comes well done nothing extra needed. High marks — I will return…

I stopped by The King and I for lunch the other day and I was glad I did, although to be honest, I was a little disappointed that the servers weren’t dressed like Yul Brynner, or one of his harem wives. So what does it mean to name a restaurant The King and I? A nod to the ancient Thai kingdom ways? The clash of East and West? Or maybe just a pop culture reference that folks in Savannah of a certain age can relate to? Without the benefit of the Rodgers and Hammerstein music or lyrics which carefully danced around the sexual roles of the King’s court, I enjoyed my lone spring roll that came with lunch, and tried not to see any symbolism in its presentation. The potstickers were silky spheres of pure, sumptuous, Siamese goodness: Who doesn’t need a little sweet in their day sometimes? Life provides enough sourness and listless nastiness on any given day to turn one into an incurable, bitter cynic, so why not The King and I’s Pad Thai? It’s sweet. Very sweet. Almost cloyingly sweet. The amalgam of succulent meat, crunchy bean sprouts and scallions, and sweet noodles seduced me with its charms for about half of the plate – then a subtle sameness of taste crept in. Sending food back is a a little drastic for me. Maybe if I found a cat eye or a goat tongue nestled at the bottom, but usually I’m amenable to what is served me and don’t make a fuss. Plus, when one flavor gets a little much, call in reinforcements! I spooned out some red chili sauce over the noodles and it laid down some napalm fire to knock the cloying right out of the sweet. Another sauce, sporting obvious chunks of jalapeño pepper, exploded little cluster bombs of fire and the ground pepper rub scorched everything down to ash. There was no sweetness left. There were no taste buds left. There was only searing, hallucinogenic, hellfire. Yul Brynner stopped by my table and ate one of my potstickers and gave me a glass of water.

This surprisingly good Thai restaurant is located on the end of an unassuming strip mall near Oglethorpe Mall. This place was recommended to me by some locals. We actually tried to come for lunch but when we arrived there was a handwritten«Sorry we’re closed for lunch today» sign on the door, which was disappointing. I’m glad that we persisted and came back for dinner because all of us enjoyed our meal. I got my favorite Thai dish, which is «Pad see ew»(they spell it «Pad se eu» here), and it was cooked how I like it. I was initially disappointed that they didn’t offer Thai donuts for dessert, but it gave me the opportunity to try something I haven’t had before. We ordered the sweet rice, which comes with a layer of coconut milk and sliced mangoes on the side. Definitely a unique and interesting dessert. The fried bananas were also good. It’s great to know that I have a solid choice for Thai when I’m in Savannah. I’ll definitely be back.

Tom Yum soup is exceptional, the Drunken Noodle is very tasty, and I Love their Thai Tea. Ambience is OK, Service is OK, but it takes awhile to receive your food — there’s no question it is fresh, not pre-prepared!

We went here(a party of four) for a friend’s birthday dinner. Décor is nice, atmosphere is nice, the food is GREAT! I ordered cashew chicken not knowing how their«chili jam» would taste, but it is amazing. The downside is how long it took to get our food! We ordered appetizers which took a little long but nothing alarming, but after finally getting to place our food order we waited another 40 mins or so. Our drinks kept getting refilled, but no explanation for the food delay and we were STARVING! Meanwhile, two other tables arrived, ordered, ate, and left while we were still waiting on our food. We had to flag down a waiter and ask what was going on before we got our food, about 15 minutes after that. Their excuse was that they were«busy,» but that doesn’t account for fully serving two other tables that arrived after, and we didn’t get any discount off the bill or any sort of apology. A six-person party arrived as we were getting our food and both of our parties left at the same time. Not sure what happened, if they lost our ticket or a dish was made wrong but yknow, just let us know! Again. Food was great. Service, not so much. A good place to order to-go!

I’ve had everything on the menu. Literally. Every. Single. Item. Best Thai food I’ve ever had. I’ve been living in Atlanta for almost a year now and have not found anything up to par. I only eat Thai when I come back to visit savannah and it’s here. Spicy, creamy curry; check. Sweet pad thai, check. Stir fries that are colorful, yummy, and smells so good you want a perfume of it? Check. How tf do they appeal to all of my senses? Withcraft I suspect. I dream of this place. Have even considered moving back for it… king&i how I miss you…

Best Thai here so far. The red curry is amazing as well as the pad thai. We have only dined in once and the atmosphere is pleasant. We do takeout often and it is amazing.

We’ve heard pretty good things about this place from some friends so we figured we’d try it. For a place in a strip mall it was really good spring rolls, summer rolls and green curry were good. Pad WoonSen was good but not the best I’ve had. Really good service and the prices aren’t too bad either.

I have been living in Savannah for six years and it used to be one of our fave Thai restaurants to go. But really salty food has stopped us from going back. Last time we went there I had decided to order something simple like pad Thai. I used to order there drunken noodles but they were too salty. So I just decided to go with pad Thai. How can you mess that up? Apparently you can their pad Thai was very sweet! I know that a good pad that should be a perfect combination of sweetness and sourness that comes from tamarind. My pad Thai was just overwhelmingly sweet. I had mentioned it to a waitress and asked to take it back. I have never asked them to take it off my bill but I just can’t eat something that is not good. I ended up just eating some of my husbands dish. The cumulative moment was when an old Asian looking man came out of the kitchen in his apron and asked me if I knew what a pad Thai tasted like when I ordered it and then he said something about no charge. Oops I guess I offended the cook. Since then we are avoiding this place and I’m still waiting for a good Thai place opening up in Savannah.

This used to be one of my go to restaurants years ago but that all changed one fateful night. I ordered a Groupon for this place a upon receiving my check noticed that not only did they overcharge me but they also tacked on a hefty tip without my approval all because I used a Groupon. I didn’t embarrass myself nor I call for the manager I simply waited until I get home and call Groupon the next day. That caused me to avoid coming back here years until my family wanted Thai food and this happened to be the closest place. The food was good and the service was great too just like I remembered. Will we be back yes but it’ll be months or years in between those visits.

Now that’s some good Thai food. We tried several items on the menu and devoured them all. Who knew that Savannah had such a great Thai restaurant. I wish we had one here in Charleston. This will be a regular stop on every visit.

Pleasantly surprised! I’ve been looking for a good Thai place in Savannah(Chiriya’s was pretty disappointing). We started off with the Summer rolls which were decent. I got the pad see ew and the boyfriend got the drunken noodles. I thought the pad see ew was good, and the drunken noodles were okay. I’m not a fan of the sweeter noodles anyway, but that’s not the restaurant’s fault. The egg rolls that come on the side were some of the best I’ve had in awhile. They weren’t super greasy like most Asian restaurants have, and I liked the ingredients inside. The only thing that could’ve made it better was to serve the egg rolls with some lettuce.

I went here with a group of about 10. The food was tasty. Most everyone was satisfied with their food. We waited a pretty long time for our food, despite our large group number, other establishments typically are a lot faster. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed. The place is very clean. I only had one major hiccup… I pulled a very long hair out of my food. That always kills my appetite. I was going with four stars, but yeah. I’m sure it’s an isolated incident. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for great Thai.
