I got a decent haircut at Savannah Clipper. Cheryl was my stylist and she was friendly. I had a Groupon, and was told on the phone about the upcharge($ 10 extra) for having long hair. I think this is totally ridiculous. I’m asking you to cut 2″ off of my hair — it shouldn’t matter if my hair is to my butt, my waist, my shoulders, or my ears… it’s the same amount of work. Also, I didn’t ask for any extra styling balms, conditioning lotions, treatments, etc. Whatever. The pros: location(midtown — corner of Waters Ave and 70th), parking was easy, stylist was friendly, Groupon made it a great deal, stylist said that if I didn’t like it, I could come back and she would fix it(good customer service in that sense!) The cons: upcharge for long hair, hair cut while it was completely DRY(this had never happened to me before), stylist picked up her cell phone twice during the haircut(at least the convos were short)

Best an most friendly service in town. Cut my hair for free, because I grew it out for donation for cancer patients. An too many other good things to mention. Savannah clippers is now my only salon from now on!

I went in thinking I was a pretty 20 year old girl but left with a $ 50 bowl cut that made me question if I was really a 12 year old boy. I did go back and Cheryl(who did not do the original cut) retouched it for free which was nice.

What a huge let down. I bought a $ 25 Groupon for a cut, blow dry and style. I have long hair and always just get a very basic trim to clean up split ends. I’m immediately told it’s $ 10 extra due to length. Next I get up sold a shine/conditioning treatment. This is where things really go wrong. I have dry hair so I was all for the treatment. One if the stylists mentioned that if I did in with the cut it would be cheaper than if I came another day, so it would be $ 45. Good deal. Foolish me I thought it was $ 45 total… Not $ 70 all together. I couldn’t help but feel pretty duped they way they told me I was getting some kind of great promotion… As for the haircut. Yes, I got my ends trimmed. However, my stylist had no idea how to cut bangs so that I could switch my part. I’ve always had hairdressers do this for me, so I know I’m not asking for the impossible. Her scissors were so dull that when she did trim what little but of bangs she attempted, it yanked my hair. I feel bad that my hairdresser was nice but not only was I lied to about the price but the haircut just did not live up to what I asked or showed her.(And they don’t have a service-price list on their website… Makes me feel like they just made prices up as they went along)

Walked in and in a few moments was able to have my hair cut by Meg. She seemed very professional and took her time and knew what she was doing. I’d definitely come back again for another hair cut. The other haircutter there at the time seemed a bit snobby, but it’s hard to tell. I just didn’t get a positive impression from her. Regardless, I’ll keep on coming here when I need to get a quality haircut from Meg or whomever is available as long as they know what they’re doing. They even threw in a free shampoo — my hair is now pepperminty fresh.
