indeed, for my 50th Unilocal review it’s only fitting I stray from food and talk about one of my other great passions — pharmacies! there’s an old programme called«cheers» in which the characters all hung out at a bar in Boston and the theme song said«sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name — and they’re always glad you came…» that’s rite aid. I’ve been to pharmacies that simply wouldn’t fill my meds due to the overwhelming amount of controlled substances and interaction, pharmacies that would openly discuss my medications in front of other customers, in one instance another customer literally followed me to my car and asked if they could purchase some of my meds for cash. then there came rite aid this year when my insurance switched. rite aid pharmacists not only all know me, they’ve gone out of their way to help me find ways to save money, they’ve supported my efforts to quit smoking, they’ve been absurdly discreet with my medications, and perhaps most important — they have filled prescriptions for me when I was overdue and trembling within 10 minutes late on a Monday night. they know my daughter’s name just from me picking up medications for her and always ask how she’s doing. the place is always clean, the staff is always helpful, the parking is too good, and they also sell chocolates. why nobody else has stepped up and given this place Unilocal props I don’t know, but I winnae consider another pharmacy in this town — ever. congrats rite aid — 5 stars and my special guest on my 50th episode of Unilocal
