Looked OMM up on the www and stopped in 3 – 26 and hit my butcher shop spot on. Huge variety of meats and a SMOKER where they smoke ribs, chicken and pork shoulders right on the spot and you can get them fresh out of the smoker. I walked out w/2 rib eye, 2 pork chops, 10 stuffed jalapenos wrapped in bacon, 3 type of sausages and one huge rack of smoked ribs!!! Worth every penny. I’ll be returning very soon.

I needed to find some fresh sausage to make my sausage balls that I do every year for Christmas. This was the first time I had visited and I was thoroughly impressed. The fresh sausage was delicious and will definitely be back.

We are here from Colorado for 6 months, and found that even Whole Foods didn’t have what I usually get for natural, free-range, meat. When we moved out to the Richmond Hill KOA, we passed this meat market, so I called to find out what quality they had. Sure enough, it was just what I wanted. Yesterday I went there to shop, and was I impressed! As a gourmet cook, I like things cut to my liking, and they’ll do it! The organic meat is fantastic! We had three different sausages for dinner, and were they the best ever! The pork that was used is from the free-range hogs that probably eat nuts and acorns that fall from the trees, which gave the amazing flavor, plus the grind wasn’t like mush inside. Awesome texture! My husband is still talking about how good they were! The butchers were amazing and friendly! It was wonderful to see all the other canned food that’s so far, really yummy, plus there is a smoked meat side to the shop. That’s next on my list as they use the same meat. To say the least here, I’m a happy camper!

Good meat. Definitely not prime. Helpful staff. Not enough value for me to regularly shop.

This place has everything you could possibly need when it comes to meat– and if they don’t, they will try to get it for you! Everything is incredibly fresh and reasonably priced. Many of their meats are local. They will custom cut meat for you as well. You have to try their homemade beef jerky! The other favorite amongst our friends are the stuffed jalapeño peppers(jalapeños stuffed with their Vidalia onion sausage, wrapped in bacon). Also, check out their website for their buddy coupon. They usually have a free item when you spend $ 25.

Stopped by today a half hour before close to get a Freezer Deal package(I felt bad about getting there so late) but they were SO nice and accommodating. One gentleman even helped me by carrying the bags to my car for me. I’ve been here a few times now and my family swears by their Vidalia sausage. Product is excellent, the customer service is some of the best you’ll find and the prices are amazing!

We are new to the area and stopped in to check it out… good call! Twice we have picked up various sausage varieties. Their homemade hotdogs(don’t think Ball Park Franks PLEASE) are great, but the bratwursts, Polish Sausage, and buffalo(the city not the animal) were outstanding. I had forgotten what fresh meat really is like. The seasoning is on the mark and the fresh ingredients will make you come back for more. The service is down home friendly. What a great little business!!!

Best meat around town. We checked this place out June 7th2014; Saturday. The service reminded me of the kind I remember in meat markets as a child. I wanted to get Pork Steaks for the slow cooker, but thin ones. The lady cut the meat to my specifications. That would never happen in a grocery store unless you want to pay Whole Food prices. Now the thick cut bacon. Every grocery store I have seen a price of at least $ 7.50 and more per package. Plus in the grocery store I am the sort that looks on the bottom and sides; FAT and a little lean. At this market my half pound cost $ 3.58 and it was mostly LEAN. Plus upon cooking it didn’t shrink up and wasn’t overly saltily. You can also buy organic eggs, different types of sausage, cheese and more. If you are a local and in search of quality meat for your money that you will never find in the local grocery stores CHECK this place out. THISIS A KEEPER!

Highly recommended! My husband and I came here today because I was tired and grossed out at the chicken breast we would buy at Walmart. The first step I took into the shop you could tell they had just cleaned and take pride in the upkeep of the place. They have organic chicken and you can tell by looking at it that it’s very high quality chicken which I love cause I’m picky about my meat. I would rather pay the only $ 1.00 extra per pound for great quality! We also just bought some of the sausages to try and put on the grill real fast for lunch today. And YUM!!! We will be regularly buying from here! We were told military discount is on Thursdays which is helpful to us and I’m sure a lot of other families close by to this shop!

The Ogeechee Meat Market has been a real find for us visiting New York foodies. We read good reviews before going, but are very finicky about our meat, so weren’t sure if the quality would be up to our usual standards. It was! The ground sirloin, chicken breasts, and pork cutlets were all delicious. The sausage was good, but coarse. We are used to finely ground Italian sausage, so it was strange for us. Wish they would make some fine grind. All in all, the food is top quality, the place is clean, the workers are friendly and knowledgeable, and the prices are quite reasonable. Highly recommended!

This butcher shop is literally two minutes from my house. Which is a blessing and a curse… The blessing: The products here are AMAZING! I have yet to get something here that wasn’t 100% awesome sauce. I’m not much of a steak eater, but if the steaks come from here, I magically transform into a carnivore, a steak hungry beast! Their sausages are freaking phenomenal, homemade with multiple different options — the jalapeño cheddar is good and SPICY; the brats are everything you could ask for; the mild sausage is perfect for sausage and pepper sandwiches. They have pre-made stuffed porkchops(again, not something I would normally eat, but good GOD are these things tasty!). Oh, and did I mention they have bacon. Amazing bacon. And bacon they sell the cubed scraps of for like $ 1 a pound… my roommate puts it on EVERYTHING! Oh, and they know their business… they will recommend cuts for whatever you’re wanting to make, which is perfect for someone like me, who is by no means meat-literate. The curse: My roommate and I spend far too much money in this butcher shop. Not because it’s more expensive, it is only slightly higher priced than surrounding stores, we just eat MOREMEAT! We only shop here anymore, forgoing Kroger and Walmart… once you go Ogeechee, you never go back. But it is so worth it.

My dad’s a butcher, my grandfather was a butcher, his father was a butcher & so on. Needless to say I come from a long line of meat lovers, so when I can find an actual meat market, I’m there. This place was super clean, the employees super friendly & the prices around average what you’d pay for quality. I purchased some cat fish & vidalia onion sausage, both of which were fantastic & super fresh. I had originally gone in looking for beef bones for broth, which they thankfully had, after searching all over Hinesville for them. I’ll def be returning here in the future!

These guys have a wide selection of meats including bison and grassfed beef. I appreciate that the sausages and hotdogs are home-made, not junk from the grocery store. Aside from the food, the customer service is what separates this place from anywhere else I shop. I get better quality food here for better prices than the grocery store and with better service. You can’t beat that.

So my buddy grabbed some at least 10 oz filets and they were amazing. Cook was awesome but to meat quality stood out. This is a real deal meat market, they have big slabs of meat and you say I want this and they say«How thick?!». It won’t get any better than this, great meat will make you look so good with a perfect cooked steak. This place is always busy, don’t wait until after work to grab your favorite or expensive cuts. Get here during your lunch break or get in early as possible!

I use to think that the best quality steaks have to be flown in from the midwest on dry ice. I was very wrong. The qaulity of steaks cut fresh at the ogeechee meat market are hands down the best steaks i have been able to purchase. One must only taste 1 filet mignon, 1 new york strip, or even 1 one link of their homemade sausages to undstand the difference.
