I’m a macaron SNOB and these are the BEST macarons in Savannah. When it comes to macarons, TEXTUREISKEY. When you bite into a perfect macaron, it is supposed to be hard/crunchy, soft, and then chewy. These were perfection.

I don’t eat macaroons typically. BUT these are the only macaroons that I will eat. I’ve tried macaroons everywhere, but don’t seem to find ones that I like. These are awesome! Love the vanilla. But all the flavored are great.

This place was in a great location downtown and very close to a beautiful square. We got the cinnamon, vanilla, key lime, banana, lemon, red velvet and another one I forgot, they were all very good. Drawbacks were that they were expensive and kinda small, but we got to eat them in one of the best squares in Savannah on a gorgeous day! We’ll be back for more…

I deeply, deeply enjoy these macarons. The downtown location is super convenient and the macarons are always delicious. They’re about $ 2 per macaron and it is worth every penny!

excellent macarons, not cheap but standard prices for macarons. Strangely tucked away in a dumpy strip mall. Quite a surprise.

Amazing! We stopped in to have just one. Later that afternoon we happened by again and had another. Before we left for home we purchased a dozen to take home. Just couldn’t get enough! The staff was very friendly and told us all about the flavors and how they are made. Highly recommend this as a must see in Savannah!

Set up is extremely strange. They have a store front for a case of macarons. Young guy behind the counter wanted us in and out, but no worries. The macarons were amazing, and cheaper than most. I’m obsessed and search for them in every city I visit. These were better than the Ladurée in Paris.

4.5 **** for the macaroons(chocolate covered strawberries) 2** for the service. No one even said hello to My daughter or I. As we were trying to make a selection, no one said a word to recommend any flavor. As a matter of fact.. three people that I could see where there and NOONE spoke. I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. So. .we won’t be going back. We actually stopped by to inquire about a large order for my daughters baby shower. We will go elsewhere.

We happened upon this little gem while spending the day in Savannah. I’m French and whenever I’m visiting(or whenever husband is going through Paris on business), I treat myself to some delicious macarons. Husband also loves them but he’s celiac. You can imagine our delight when we walked by, walking in and behold, the macarons are delicious and gluten free. The macarons are light, fluffy, flavorful and perfect. And now I know where to order a birthday treat for my husband. Highly, highly recommend these delicious macarons.

Wow! A great little place! They are amazing! My husband had never had any and was skeptical… But he just fell in love with the snickers and the Tybee Turtle! Very delicious. We got ours to go but it seemed very welcoming!

Best macarons I’ve ever had! Found this little gem on Unilocal while stopping in Savannah on my way up north — definitely worth the stop! The lady working was so nice and helpful, and the macarons were so yummy. I would recommend the salted caramel!

In Georgia. Everyone sounds divine. But what to buy for my best friends rehearsal dinner. I am here for her wedding and offered to bring dessert. I am a picky picky macaron eater. Have had the most well known ones in LA, NYC, and SF. Those bakeries don’t need my review, they already have a bit of my retirement fund for how much I have been known to spend there. Was expecting good macarons as this place came highly recommended. These were some of the best I ever had. Lucky lucky people of Savannah. Get the Chefs Choice. Four dozen for your friends. One dozen for you to sample to make sure they are up to par:) Worth the calories. You will never settle for an ordinary dessert again.

The source!!! Finally made it to the place where my favorite macarons originate. Cute café style setting… small but comfy. The lady who waited on me was very short with me and seemed to want me to hurry up and get out. Fortunately for her the thing that mattered most to me is that this is where the magic of my FAVORITE macarons happen and that goodness outweighed the bad; for this visit at least. O-o.

this place is a breath of fresh air. After wanting and wanting to stop by this place on yesterday I finally did and oh I’m I happy I did. The smell upon entering was well worth the stop in, they should really think about bottling it I’d wear it. Back to macaroon they are simply great, light and oh so tasty. The only downside is the price they’re kind of expensive not an everyday treat. Stop in and keep this jewel in business.

Ah Macarons one of my favorite type of cookie. I bought a variety to try. The cookie portion is spot on. Plus the flavor of the cookie portion exactly as described. However, the filling with the exception of the vanilla needs more work. I tasted mostly butter not the flavor. Next time I will only purchase the ones with the vanilla filling.

We got a box of 8 flavors, and I tried all of them. The best flavors were the banana foster(surprisingly) and the salted caramel, both were really delicious All the others were good too but not as good as these two! It comes in a really cute pink box(which is $ 2 extra).

Now, how do I put this delicately… I am a macaron beast. When I lived in the Bay Area, I’m fairly sure that the fine people at Bouchon Bakery in Yountville, home to TKeller’s palm-sized macarons that are literally what I think must be on the dessert buffet in Heaven, knew me as the girl who would buy $ 50 worth of macarons and eat them in one sitting. Regularly. I mean… it’s just almond paste + egg whites + ganache/buttercream frosting… so basically it’s like a protein dessert… right? Given how glorious these were(delicately crunchy exterior, firm but delectably soft inner cookie, and then a filling so smooth it makes all others look foolish), I regard all other macarons with a suspicious side eye, daring them to measure up. Thus, I was colored quite surprised when I found delightful little bites of macaron heaven in Savannah! Situated in what is clearly an old self-serve fro-yo place, MdM is small, but with a banging selection of macarons, Mabel’s cupcakes(which received a shout out in the NYT for her buttercake cupcakes, which I’m pretty sure occluded several of my arteries just while I was staring at it in the display case), and bougie popsicles. There are usually 12ish types of macarons in the offing, with flavors changing seasonally — ranging from the standard sea salt caramels, pistachios, and chocolates, to more novel varieties like turtle(macaron dipped in chocolate + caramel + pecans — a description that I feel certain is making a pastry chef at Laduree quietly weep as I write it), meyer lemon, and spicy cinnamon. The cookies are wonderfully light, with just enough substance to hold their ground against rich buttercream or ganache fillings. The family favorites were the chocolate and spicy cinnamon, though we didn’t try one that I didn’t enjoy — I think they are $ 1.85/each, or $ 20 for a bag of 12 – 15. My main complaint is that b/c they don’t make the macarons on site, so if you hit the shop at the wrong time, they will be out of most of the flavors and you’ll have to stalk their delivery truck(don’t worry abt it… totally normal) until they get refilled — and b/c they usually have only one person behind the counter, service is slow and lines form. The cupcakes are $ 3ish/each — I don’t like cake so I didn’t hit them, but if you do, they look nice — they do sell cookie cupcakes, which are great, primarily b/c it’s a cookie that’s been made in a cupcake tin so it’s 2in thick. Awesome. Worth seeking out if you’re staying in Sav and need a sweet treat. Oh, and they ship nationally. Mother, if you are reading this — yes, you can make up to me the 27th birthday debacle by signing me up to receive at least 100 macarons/month for the foreseeable future.

First time I went to Maison De Macarons was last September when they were still at their old location. It was a rainy day, practically a monsoon. But it didn’t matter because I love macarons and was excited to try theirs. I have to say these are by far the best macarons I have tried. The macarons are not made too sweet which are usually my biggest complaint. This allows the flavors to really shine through. Last weekend when I went with a couple of other friends my GPS took me to their new location. I am glad to see that they are doing so well and the macarons were just as delicious as I remembered them. We split 6 of the. Our favorites were the Tybee Turtle, Salted Caramel, and Chocolate Covered Strawberry. I will be going to NYC in a couple of weeks and planning on picking up some from macarons from La Duree but I have a feeling they won’t compare!
