Food is really good if you don’t get laughed at without a reservation at the door. They refuse to even answer phone. they are so stuck on themselves that if they are busy they. Figure why answer the phone. Wierdos hired as wait staff. Bar is four chairs. Back room is climate controlled tent. Big shot chef owns the place thinks his you know what don’t stink. Your place stinks… Be careful orderering or you may accidently order the pasta and raw meatballs. Seriously this is on the menu and the menu uses alot of bachelors level wording so you might not understand it if you only finished high school. I will never go back because they absolutely think they are the greatest and its your privilege to eat there. not Thiers. Very expensive if you decide to drink at 7.00 a pop… and who doesn’t drink in Savannah?

Went by in December 27, 2015 and it was closed for repairs. Seemed like it wouldn’t be open in January 2016. Just make sure you call before going.

I’ve eaten here 3 times and been impressed zero times. The food is okay. The ambiance sucks. You’re crammed in like sardines. And you will $$pay$$ for that. If you like that, you’re fine. The service is, to be nice, nonchalant, at best, inattentive, at worst. They’re always out of whatever you want to order. And, I live a block away, and there is always a whole lot of noise going on over there. Not a fan.

Closed and didn’t pay any of their employees. What a huge POS this owner is. By the way his last name is the name of the restaurant.

Granted we chose to eat here on the wrong night, having rock & roll marathon tomorrow & everyone wants to carb load. Honestly, I liked this place. Not the best Italian food ever, but it is a good location & they have a quaint outdoor eating area. We had pizza & salad. Satisfied our need & served its purpose.

We’re on a honest bunch here at Unilocal, evidently. The reviews are no exaggeration. Maybe the good ones are but less than three stars? Those are my kinda people. Never one to shy away, and not be persuaded by the opinion of others, my husband and mother in law and I braved this quaint little eatery. We’ve recently moved to Savannah from all corners of the globe and have quickly found some of the best places to eat in Savannah. This, my friends, is not one of them. Friday, reservations made for the outside deck. Now, this is separated into two. One section is beneath a mold encumbered marquee and the other is on an actual deck. We were placed in said marquee, squished inconveniently in the way of staff and diners a like. The tables had some sort of bar underneath that prevented us from sliding in further. No hard liquor, so no cocktails of any sort, just copious amount of wine, which is fine. My mother in law ordered an arugula salad to start, husband prosciutto and mozzarella and I had the mussels. I’ll always give credit where it’s due and to be fair these came out extremely quickly given how busy it was for a Friday night. The salad was pathetic, to say the least, lifeless layers of arugula with scatterings of tomatoes and croutons, the prosciutto was sliced so thick we were all in a agreement that he’d been given corned beef instead, the mozzarella however was nice. I was the lucky one however, I don’t know how they did it but they figured out I’m trying to keep my figure and served me diet mussels! They were the tiniest mussels I’ve ever seen in my life, drowning in a tasteless tomato soup. Next course arrived, mother in law had the clams in the white wine garlic sauce, my husband the hanger steak special and I had spaghetti carttocio. The clams were small, and struggling in a mediocre garlic and butter broth, but commendations of the homemade linguine. The hanger steak was 4 tiny pieces of steak for the exorbitant price of $ 24, tasteless, however the bed of gnocchi was a nice consolation for an otherwise disappointing meal. My meal came with 3 nice shrimp, those wonderful diet mussels again and the most palette offensive home made spaghetti, which I must advise would save time and money and customer satisfaction if you just replaced them with store bought. I had three bites and then declined most ardently, a take home box. On a happier note, our server was friendly and efficient, our water was never empty and our bill was delivered promptly. We ended up escaping to Local11ten for dessert and cocktails to cleanse our poor palettes. This not an upscale Italian eatery. This is not an authentic hidden gem. I’m not sure I’d even order a takeaway pizza here. Do yourself a favour and skip this one.

This place tries to sell itself as a up scale Italian restaurant. But it is not. 1st. Their special was a schnitzel which is known as a German dish not Italian 2nd. They up sale their crapy wine. The waiter asked if we wanted wine. We said no thank you. She did not ask if we wanted any thing eles. So we just had water. 3rd. we ordered pizza it was ok but. Not much flavor. Over all this place is not good at all. For the money you spend you don’t get what you pay for.

Read the good reviews on Unilocal so we where happy to good. It took 32+ minutes from being seated until we received our bottle of wine. Flash backs to my time in the Navy, bread and water punishment. Service was poor from the waiter, the water bread guy was the very good, :). Our waiter literally disappeared 4 times for 15 – 20 minutes each time. Took 1 ½ hours to serve us meatballs and hanger steak. No aps, no salad only entrees. All of this would have been okay if the food was good, it was not. Meatballs where burnt on the bottom and the meat over worked. I realize many might not understand the over worked comment but trust me there is a big difference when someone knows how to properly work ground meat. Plus the sauce was just bland. Hanger steak approached mediocre, ay best. Nice atmosphere but no real reason to go here tonight.

Second night in Savannah our family was looking for a true Italian meal and did this deliver. For Savannah the prices were reasonable especially for the quality of food. Homemade pasta always wins and the bolognese was worth it. I’d highly recommend this restaurant to ANYONE! Service was adequate but the food was exceptional.

I have never been more disappointed with Leochi’s than I was Saturday evening. This place has always been one of my favorites until now. A month prior to our dinner I made a reservation for 10 and requested Bill for our server, he is the best! A week before I called to confirm and they had no reservation for me. I was told they would call me back but they did not. The next day I called back and Bill answered, there was still no record of my reservation but after some shuffling Bill made it happen! Go Bill! My daughter was graduating from college that day and after we were going to her and my favorite place to eat in Savannah! Well we got there and we were seated outside where we had requested. Our water is poured and then this girl that I don’t know appears and says she was going to be server for the night. I had already waved at Bill inside so when she said that my head almost spun around! She said Bill was working inside tonight, if I had been told that in the beginning we would not have eaten here. I was exhausted tired and did not want to have to think about anything, that’s the joy of having Bill as your server, he remembers everything and he just tells me what I want, I really love that! So it started with the wine which took 45 minutes from ordering to table and I had to think about what to order. I almost cried I was so disappointed. Then we ordered, I had the purses, my favorite! Everyone enjoyed their meal but my mom and sister which have been here 3 times before. They ordered the pizzas that they like and neither one was edible. They did not complain until two days later when we were talking about the whole night. I was so sad for them. One dish ordered was wrong and one purse order only had 6 purses for the whole serving. That plate was sent back and more purses were added. It took over a hour for the server to take our order and then there were problems. The wine was wrong because I did not know what to order. The whole experience was bad! The sweet manager even came out and tried to help the girl. Anyway I could almost cry now writing about my experience that night. I wanted to come in relax, show off this delightful place and have Bill take care of us like he has so many times. Had I known I was going to have to think and take control of the dinner like I said I would not have come here. I probably will not ever return because of the sadness I felt when I left. I will miss the purses and the way Leochi’s brought much HAPPINESS to me.

I had the Filet with Gorgonzola, the vegetables were great but the steak was only so-so. It didn’t appear to be seared or grilled. It had no texture or flavor other than melted Gorgonzola. The menu contains standard Americanized Italian fare. The staples are tasty– olives are great, bread and dipping sauce are delicious, and the service is responsive and friendly. My friends were happy with their pasta carbonara and pizza!

I love Italian food: especially if the restaurant is romantic, unique and has a great atmosphere. As soon as I walked into Leoci’s Tattatoria, I knew I would love this place. The dim lighting and intimate seating make you feel like you’re in love, but that doesn’t mean you have to be with a special sweetie to enjoy the mood here. There’s a bar area and a beautiful outside patio with a bocce ball play area and chic hanging lights. I could see myself hosting a get together here purely for the feel alone. But, you have to eat when you go to restaurants, right? I ordered the Pasta Alla Norma, rigatoni with eggplant and the house tomato sauce. It was a nice dish overall, although I wish I had gone with my first choice: the chicken parmesan. I saw someone’s plate whizz by and was instantly jealous. They also serve complimentary bread, oil and vinegar with each meal. I’m an «appetizer bread» lover. Sometimes, I base the character of a restaurant on the type of bread they serve. In this case, this place is too classy to pass up. I’m anxious to go back and try more dishes. My tastebuds are intrigued, but my heart fell in love with the décor and mood before I tasted anything.

This place was very disappointing! The food took forever(an hour and a half) the waitress was NOT nice(spilled muscles on one of the guest and didn’t apologize) and the food was very unseasoned. The manager apologized and said he would«take care of something»… We got charged for everything PLUS a 20% gratuity which the server did not deserve!(And I’ve been a waitress for 10 years and am normally a 20−25% tipper) While the atmosphere was super cute and fun the service and food was Not worth it.

Since we were visiting from out of town, we turned to Unilocal to guide us in the right direction for some pre-race carb loading. We decided to go with this restaurant based on the menu and price point. I called several days before to make a reservation for a Friday evening. They had odd seating times and the only time that would work for us was at 5pm so we snagged it. On the day of, we were running late so I was able to call to push back the reservation to 530p but they couldn’t push it back any later since they were booked solid. Upon arrival we were escorted to the back patio that was covered with a canopy but could feel a bit of the breeze from outside. We had a lovely table in the corner just for us. I did notice it was barely packed when we arrived so not sure why they were so set in stone about a 5pm dinnertime. Our servers were great and brought out endless baskets of complimentary bread and olive oil for dipping. I placed an order for a side Caesar salad to go with my main entrée of Grouper cheeks spaghetti Fra Diavolo. A few minutes later the server informed me they were out of the Grouper cheeks dish. I was surprised since it was 5pm and the start of the weekend. It was disappointing. I ended up hurriedly picking the Spaghetti Al Cartoccio as a replacement. When it came out it was steaming hot wrapped in parchment paper since it’s baked in the oven. Honestly, it was just ok. Basically spaghetti, marinara sauce and seafood scattered throughout. Most of the time I was picking the clams out of their shells. I just felt that it was underwhelming and not so satisfying. And the flavors just didn’t sit well with me. Aside from this, it was a nice experience with great company and I’m glad that Leoci’s was able to accommodate our large group.

Came here for a carb-loading dinner the night before a race. Luckily, there were lots of pasta options on the menu, making it hard to decide what to get! Our party was seated on the back patio, under a tent. Which was nice, but it was a touch chilly on this evening. I loved the pillows, which gave the bench a nice cozy touch. I ended up ordering the meatballs along with the spaghetti, which is made in-house. The marina sauce was spot-on, not too tangy, seasoned nicely. The meatballs were good, and the spaghetti was delish. I filled up on bread and the balsamic olive oil dipping sauce while waiting on my meal(again, I was«carb-loading» so I went a little wild on fresh bread), so dessert didn’t happen. Overall it was a nice meal, and even though I don’t order pasta often, I would consider coming back for more my next time in Savannah.

I’ll preface this review with one statement: I hate Italian food… well maybe not all Italian, but I dislike pasta something fierce. We have been here 3 times, most recently a couple weeks back. I have, as I always do, something without pasta, and my wife always has something with it. The pasta here, is simply awesome. It is homemade, at least if you allow them to serve you it. You can select«store» pasta, but why would you ever do that? It is substantial, has a nice feeling, and actually tastes of something other than air. The sauces are all amazing. They have the typical red sauce, but they have the much sought after«gravy» sauce that puts all red sauces to shame. For the non pasta people, occasionally they put out amazing steak specials, and when I go, I always get a risotto dish. I’ve had the hangar steak, trout, and pork on risotto, all of which were amazing. The vegetables are fresh, the dishes are colorful, and after they remade their portions, everything is edible at one sitting. If waits are a concern, head for lunch on the weekend. There isn’t a wait and the menu is the same. If you want something light, try the pizza — it is awesome too.

First of all I’m from Roma, Italia. I asked if the chef was Italian and they reassured he was! We could not eat any of our orders. What a Disappointment. At the end they clarified that the chef is actually from Montréal and with Italian origins. This explains why I could not recognize any of the taste, flavors nor recipes I know too well! The Malbec wine was ok. But that’s from Argentina! WE’ll NEVEREVERGOBACK!

I lived in Europe for seven years, and let me tell you, Leoci’s is the first place that I have been to stateside that I can actually close my eyes and feel like I am back in Italy. I have been there about 10 times and only once there was an issue, and it was because the trout that I ordered was taking longer than expected in the brick oven. All the food is freshly made, and Hunter Cattle Farm makes special Italian sausage and salami for this place, as well as supplies all the beef. Roberto is the real deal and every time that I’ve been there, I see him in the kitchen making magic! It’s not too often that you see the owner of such a great place always in the kitchen. Easily one of my top five places to eat in Savannah!

We ordered antipasto, beet salad, Caesar salad, Bolognese meatballs, and carbonara Most ok but… The meat sauce was not tomato based more like a stroganoff. The carbonara pasta had large clumps stuck together in both orders. The lettuce was bad in the salad. The meatballs needed salt. The high points were the appetizer and beet salad and wine. Wait staff was great and informed. Kitchen let down the experience with very poor execution. We assumed the executive chef took the day off and let the kids run the joint.
