Baker’s Pride Bakery

What can I say about Baker’s pride? What can’t I say, is the question!
They have fantastic donuts, desserts, cakes, fritters, cookies, pies and other delectable goodies. I try to come here a few times a week. Oftentimes I’m going by and I don’t have a plan to come over, but the ‘open’ sign is lit, so I know that delectable goodness is only a few seconds away.
My favorite product must be their chocolate covered donuts, which are two to three times larger than their competitors and are smothered in house made chocolate coating. My secod favorite item must be their fritters. The smalls are large and the large fritters are HUGE!
They make their product fresh from scratch and their consistency is awesome. The employee’s know me by name and treat everyone like an individual.
I’ve never had any issues with Baker’s Pride and I’ll continue to enjoy their delectable desserts as long as they remain open and as long as I live in Savannah!
If you’re in town or even from Savannah and haven’t tried Baker’s Pride, I’d highly recommend it. You’ll probably become and addict like myself!

If you are looking for bake goods that are above the grocery store taste this is the place.
We are on the hunt for Christmas cookies and thought lets sample a few here. The young man that waited on us was very friendly. My husband of course picked all the ones that contained chocolate. I stuck to the more basic ones. My thought is if your plain sugar cookie is good I am sold. Sorry to say I wasn’t sold. Yes they are better than a grocery store. However at $ 1.95 for each large cookie buying a few dozen can get pricey. They did have some Christmas Cookies packed and a sign with various prices. If I recall the cheapest was $ 20.00.
The Petit Fore I tasted had a hint of homemade taste but they skimped on the
butter.
After mulling it over I don’t think for the price compared to the taste they are worth buying. My Husband agreed. So onward with the search since I don’t feel like baking this year.

Sweetest staff! Great donuts! Yummmmm! They even provide their sweet yummy food to popular local restaurants. Get your buns in there!

They have a wide variety of selections, but they have the best apple fritters ever! Friendly staff and great coffee too! Absolutely the best bakery in town!

I needed an assortment of dessert treats for a wedding party. I visited two other bakeries but they couldn’t make what I needed. Baker’s Pride hit the mark! They prepared several beautiful trays of mixed pastries and cookies. The LEMON BARS were OH MY GOSH AMAZING! I was able to order one day in advance, and everything was prepared fresh the morning of my event. The quality and service are definitely 5 star!

By far and away the best bakery in Savannah. My children and I adore this place. One daughter had the cookies and cream doughnut, while the other had a chocolate glazed doughnut. They both are happy and full. I had the pumpkin fritter, a seasonal sensation, and it helped bring on the idea of fall.
I love that they open at 6 a.m. Because as a teacher I have to be at work at 7:15 and this is a great treat to spend time with girls before work.
This bakery gets my highest accolades for the people and food!!!

You simply have not said a «proper» glazed doughnut until you’ve had one from Baker’s Pride! So fluffy, fresh & tasty! so glad we have in SAV!

An outstanding bakery just east of the hospital. They have all your sweet tooth needs and more. The donuts are incredible, and words can’t describe them. Danishes are also incredible with a variety of fruit flavors, and they have a wide range of pies, cakes, and cookies. This place is truly a sweet tooth paradise.

This is so far the best bakery I’ve come across in Savannah! They have a huge selection of cakes, doughnuts, cookies… pretty much anything you could want. Their prices are also very cheap which makes it pretty hard not to come in there and leave with only one thing. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and the place is clean and inviting. One thing I especially like is that their baked goods are consistent, so you can go there at any point on any day and know they’ll have your favorite thing. Stopping there is definitely a must if you have a sweet tooth!

Delicious alternatives to Krispy Kreme and dunkin doughnuts. I got my husband a blueberry fritter and an icing stuffed donut. The fritter was great, the donut was a little too sweet. I got the apple fritter. Yum-​o.

I have to stop here when ever I’m in town. Love the peach fritter I wish we had a BP in Atlanta! KK handles my sweet tooth until I visit savannah again.

This place is excellent! I first had their donuts because I work at the hospital next door and patients will frequently brings them in as a «thank you» gift. There is something so deliciously simply wonderful about the glazed donuts from BP! They are fresh, doughy, and not too sweet. There is no where else around that makes fresh donuts like this! They also have a variety of frosted and topped donuts with caramel, maple, chocolate, pecans, Etc. They also have an awesome Boston crème donut. If you are looking for «just a taste», they also have their version of donut holes. In addition to donuts, they have a wide variety of other pastries and cakes.

What can I say other than… Baker’s Pride doughnuts are THE BEST doughnuts there are! They are out-​of-​this-​world fried rings of dough that deserve an award!
You might say, «Well, Krispy Kreme’s doughnuts are fried. Why should I go to Baker’s Pride?» For one, don’t ever say that. Two, they are larger than KK and have even better flavor. Three, they have more than just an original glazed (which are amazing as well). And Finally, the best customer service around!
I visited Savannah this past weekend, because I recently moved to Atlanta, and I was in town for my best friends wedding. On the way to her wedding I stopped by BP to get a dozen of these tasty rings of heaven so I could be the best Maid of Honor ever. Everyone (including the bride and groom) that were in the bridal suite/​cabin getting ready, all said that they were the best. And dosed off into a doughnut coma :)
When my little family lived in downtown Savannah, we would make that 10ish minute drive, out to the south side, every Saturday morning… my son still in his pj’s…and get our hands on some Bakers Pride doughnuts.
I no longer live in Savannah, but I really wish I could find a bakery in Atlanta that tasted even somewhat close to the way BP’s doughnuts taste.
Baker’s Pride is an amazing place. With amazing people. And amazing doughnuts and baked goods.

Passed by this bakery as we were riding down the road and just HAD to stop, turn around and go back. When we walked in we were greeted by smiling faces and delicious aromas. Ummmmm. There was so much to choose from that I didn’t know where to begin and EVERYTHING looked soooooo good. We ended up getting:
Red Velvet Cupcakes — moist moist moist and oh so good. Even without the icing, which I accidentally licked off mine, it was still good.
Pecan Tasse — fantastically flavored little bit sized pecan pies. Heavenly!
Chocolate donunts — soft, sweet, moist, and oh so yummy.
Everything tasted fresh and was delicious. I’m glad I don’t live in the area otherwise I’d be here all the time.

Move over Krispy Kreme, these donuts blow you out of the water! Definitely an old school bakery in a strip mall, but don’t let the outside looks deter you from this amazing place. Baker’s Pride has a great selection of cakes, pies, cookies, and other assorted pastries; but the donuts are just incredible! During our stay in Savannah, we stopped here three times just to get their donuts. The customer service was great too! The last time we stopped was on our way out of town and my favorite dougnut was out (chocolate topped/​glazed cream filled). I was bummed but the young girl said, «No problem, give me a sec and I will make some fresh ones for you!» She took the time to make me 2 fresh donuts. This place is a MUST stop if you are in Savannah; it has become the new dougnut I compare all other to, and nothing stacks up. New rankings:

Hi you do you like sweets if you answered yes then this bakery is for you. Want cookies, doughnuts, fritters, pastries, cheesecake, oh & cakes then they’ve got you covered. The place is clean & the staff is so nice, know this though there’s always a line but the staff works hard to get you out of the door quickly.

Great bakery, I try to come here once a week to treat myself. I can’t really narrow down what I like over anything else, because I’ve just never had anything bad or mediocre. They’re a little more expensive (around $ 1.25 for a donut), but seriously, they’re worth the money. The staff is really nice and very attentive, too.
I guess if I were to pick a favorite item, it’d be the fritters. Doesn’t matter which fruit you choose, they’re all great.
Stop by, you will NOT be disappointed.

If you haven’t been to Baker’s Pride, you are robbing yourself of a wonderful culinary experience. And I can sell this place to you using only one word.
Donuts.
Yeah, I know, there is a Krispy Kreme close. And everyone knows that Dunkin Donuts has locations down here. But I, Ally, Goddess of Deep Fried Goodness, proclaim that the donuts at Baker’s Pride are the best you are likely to find in this wonderful city of Deep Fried awesomeness.
The donut holes from this location LITERALLY change lives. Case in point — the office support woman who works on my hospital ward DESPISED me for the first six months that I worked with her. There There were days when she would not even address me. All this changed when I brought in her favorite thing in the whole world… donut holes from Baker’s Pride. Oooooh yes. Last time I brought them to her she hugged me… HUGGED ME, PEOPLE!
Trust me, these donuts, in whatever shape or form they come, are divine. They’re the perfect yeasty donut with just enough thickness that it’s *juuuuuust* enough like a cake donut. Ideal combo. They come in full sized, mini donut AND donut holes. My personal fave, the chocolate covered, is rockstar… the chocolate is thick and delicious. And I’ve been told that the filled donuts are worth killing over.
Go, eat and be merry. Your Goddess demands it!

Baker’s Pride made the Cake for our Savannah destination wedding. They gave us several excellent choices and even were able to repair our slightly damaged cake topper after it suffered a bit during transportation.
If you are looking for a baker for your wedding cake, you can’t go wrong here!
