We found this gallery while strolling the sidewalks of Sausalito. Wow, what a treat! Landscapes in the style of pointillism, scenes of city canals with lighting and brushwork reminiscent of the Dutch masters, and our find: a magnificent photo by Karen Rowand of a road along vineyard in the wine country north of San Francisco, taken in autumn, with red and yellow leaves contrasting with the background of green hills shrouded in mist. What makes this so special is that the photo is fused onto gold, creating an amazing reflective quality. Then, there is the very well-​informed staff, and the wonderful owner, Elektra. They do business the old fashioned way here. We did not have room to carry the art back home with us on the plane, so they shipped it to us free of charge. They did not charge us until they knew that the art had arrived safely. I feel happy just thinking about all the amazing energy and goodness residing in this gallery.

I was drawn in the store by a large original painting in the window. While wandering in the gallery I noticed the same oil painting in different colors and sizes and the owner, Electra explained the ability to display the painting in different lighting conditions. I couldn’t resist purchasing three of the smaller paintings after much discussion with Electra. She is a gem and does such a good job sharing her knowledge of the items on display, but doesn’t offer any pressure.

My wife wandered in and found an original painting she liked. I went in, inquired and was pleasantly surpirised by the way the proprietor, Elektra, does business. She was knowledgable and displayed an earnest enthusiam for her trade without pressure. She showed me the piece in multiple lighting conditions and described the work and the Artist. The price was reasonable for such a beautiful, labor intensive creation.
I agreed to purchase the piece but she wanted to frame it first and send me images of the framed painting prior to accepting any payment from me. I’ll update as appropriate.
