I received a phone bill after returning from aruba for the amount of 356 dollar charge for data roming. The first person I talked to could not explain the charges, some of which were at 3, 4, and 5 in the morning. The second person said it was because I left it turned on. I called tmobile before I left to tell them I was traveling, no one told me that I needed to leave the phone turned off, or I would be charged They are unwilling to waive any of these fees. They say sorry there is no way to credit these charges so I have to pay. Very poor customer service.

It was probably the fact that I came in knowing what I wanted and needing to sign up as a new contract(immediately), but I really enjoyed working with these guys. Mini story: After putting up with horrible outsourced customer service, crappy phone options, and ultimately no hardware support for my phone(I couldn’t find any place that sold a charger for my phone), I opted to leave Helio and return to my ex-carrier, T-Mobile. I was on the hunt for the new G1 Android Phone. I visited every T-Mobile dealer in the Square One Mall, and none of them had it. I believe I visited 3 or 4 different places. I had just about given up, until I realized that there was a T-Mobile store 5 minutes from my house. I ventured quickly there as it was getting late on a Saturday evening. I went in and found myself to be the only customer in the store. I went directly up to the associate and asked if they have the G1. Sure enough, they had them. I guess nowadays, most people come in for phone upgrades, because that’s the reason she assumed I was there for. I told her that I was actually looking to sign up for a new contract and I instantly became a VIP. She spoke with her colleague(supervisor or something), and that person took care of me throughout the rest of time. Both associates I dealt with were very nice people and informative of any questions I had, such as porting my number from my crappy carrier. I felt really comfortable going through the whole process, and never felt any pressure of signing up for any extras services. Needless to say, I’m a happy customer, and am glad to be back in business with an awesome carrier.
