Rosemary Park Salon

I had my hair cut and colored by Markie this weekend and I am absolutely in love! She is an amazingly talented hair-​dresser. She took the time to talk with me during each step in the process and gave me a style that I didn’t even know I wanted! I highly recommend Markie and the team at Rosemary Park Salon!

My low rating is based on trying to make an appointment recently. I called on a Saturday to make an appointment for the following Monday — 2 days later. A man took my booking, and my contact phone number. On Sunday I called back to see which hairstylist I was with, and the woman who answered the phone told me there were no appointments for me. I told her when I had called, and described the person I’d spoken to on the phone, and she just kept saying she didn’t have me.
I’ve been looking for local salons that are open on Mondays so was really looking forward to going to Rosemary Park. However, I really need to know that my bookings will not fall through the cracks like this. (She also asked what service I wanted and when I told her one-​process color, she didn’t seem to know what that was. Between the two issues, I have little confidence in this salon and will not go there). Too bad – I enjoy giving my business to local stores, salons and restaurants.

I really thought I had found my place to go for waxes and facials. Doreen is great but I cannot deal with the lack of business sense here any longer.
I made an appointment for Sunday and when I showed up, there was a little sign on the door that said «CLOSED FOR THE DAY».
Really!!! I immediately check my cell phone (the # I was sure to give when I made the appointment because it was a Sunday and Im not in the office that day) and NO missed calls.
Now I am very unhappy, this is not the first time I’ve had an appointment cancelled on me here. They’ll just close the doors whenever they feel like it. I have never seen this place busy so you think that they would want to have clients but the fact that they just close for no reason makes you really think not.
I called and they were very apologetic, apparently had called the # in their system and not the one I had given when booking the appointment to leave a message but honestly, too little too late.
I was so looking forward to my facial with Doreen and now I will have to find a new salon that actually wants my money.

Susanne was amazing. Spent so much time on my hair and it came out beautiful.
Great highlights, great haircut and great service. You even get a hand massage while waiting for your hair to dry.
An all-​in-​all great experience and I will definitely be returning!

Markie is phenominal. She was the best hairdresser I found in Boston… I’ve followed her from salon to salon over the last 8 years, and I’m so thrilled she’s finally opened her own place — and a place with parking! She listens, advises, and does exactly what you ask — always keeping the health of your hair in mind… she has an adventurous spirit (color streaks) but understands some of us are more conservative (me!) — and for any skeptic, I have very fine hair, and have had some really horrible haircuts — she gets fine/​thin hair. I tried a facial at Rosemary Park, and it was relaxing, and my skin was glowing afterwards. If you’re looking for a new hairdresser, or new aveda salon, try rosemary park!

I have been getting my hair done by Markie (Salon owner) since 2003– She is the best! She is so sweet, and I always get tons of compliments on my cut and color.
My Mom actually travels from Albany a few times a year just to get her hair done by Markie.(That’s how good she is!)
The salon itself is so adorable. I love the décor, how relaxed it feels inside, and that there is plenty of parking! (I always got parking tickets in Boston!)
I also had amazing facials at the salon.

I found this place on a Dealfind coupon and WOW!!! I Love Love Love this place. Markie is an unbelievably awesome stylist! Love my new hair color and Love the way she does my Eyebrows. So excited I found this place and my new Stylist Markie. I would absolutely with out a doubt recommend this place to anyone. I had never tried or used Aveda products until I went here and I will never use anything but Aveda products now. I had a facial done with Doreen (who is awesome as well) and loved the way my skin looked and felt after. I would give this place 10 stars if the option was available. Check this place out! I’m positive you will Love it as much as I do

Ah-​mazing, seriously. Susanne is amazingly skilled. My hair color and cut came out awesome. She truly made me feel beautiful. Not to mention how down to earth everyone at this salon is!
