I discovered this little gem while on a much needed rest at the local spa last fall. The owner — divoon! The merch — some of the ritziest glad rags in town! This Ethel(look it up) found treasures galore and you will too! My best to you Evelyn K. — Ida Corwin

I’d love to give this place a 5 start — because the stuff they have in here is amazing and the prices are decent. However, the guy working the counter– which I’d assume is the owner — was having a GREAT conversation with the older couple looking around(who didn’t buy anything mind you). When the conversation was done, I looked at him and said this store is really really great and he flat out ignored me. Maybe it was because I look really young… but I was about to buy about 4 things and that really turned me off. Maybe next time.

This place is definitely a diamond in the rough. The store is in complete shambles and needs major reorganization(clothing was piled high on top of chairs with some shoes thrown in for good measure), but the owner knows what inventory he has so if you ask, you shall receive. Found some amazing 1930s gowns and negotiated down to really reasonable prices. I’m from NYC and these prices were amazing compared to what I would have paid for them in the city. Keep an open mind and you’ll find some great hidden treasures.

Reruns has a big room of vintage and funky used clothing and I can never resist going through the racks. It’s a wide range of styles and eras. I think I have the best luck in the jackets and suits for women. But far beyond clothing Stuart has a fantastic, jam-packed room of housewares, textiles and furnishings to outfit an apartment in shabby cottage or Mad Men chic. When I’m in Saratoga I never miss a chance to visit…

Let me tell you why I’m a fan of vintage clothes. I went to gap right before and I dont know when American popular culture got so boring, but Gap is leading the way. «Let’s take all the fun out of clothes so people dont have to think when they shop» Is what the motto ought to be. Now you go into a place like reruns and you see that yeah, here is some style. Might not be my style, and it’s going to take some work to find my style, but I know I can do it here. I can create a style and be expressive. I can wear clothes that don’t look like everybody else and I can cast my eyes to my over sized floral print collar with bandit buttons and I can tell the world that the outside… it matches my inside. That inside everyone of is are organs of life and that life is different for every person. And those differences are what make life interesting. And I’m not going to be watered down by Gap any more. Reruns is not for the fain of heart. I like to stop in occasionally and see whats new. By new I mean see whats old and has made it’s way into this underground consignment shop. The front part is cluttered with all kinds of things from your grandparents attic or garage. Some of it’s interesting, always something eye catching, and there is plenty of stuff that seem like junk to me but I’m sure are useful to somebody. The guy that owns the place reminds me of a character from the Simpson TV sow. He is quirky, very pleasant and always plays show tunes n the background. I can’t say I like show tunes, but there fun to listen to while your poking through the place. The back room is where things get exciting. Huge collars and loud prints. I talkin’ poly pants; hell whole poly ensembles, buttons out of willy wonka, and womens outfits from fantasy island. He is loosing a whole star because there is too much clothes back there, usually piled is a heap, and I can get over stimulated by the colors and prints and the smell of old(and lets face it likely dead people) and sometimes just have to leave.

it was quaint & nice & reasonably priced. had a fairly large selection of vintage clothes, although most of them weren’t really wearable vintage(or at least not my preferable period). they had a lot of nice glasswear, & children’s clothes, & all sorts of bric-à-brac. the owner looked nice too :) reasonably priced, especially for monied saratoga lawl.
