Despite a shipping mistake, the Sarasota Talbots is terrific. Don’t judge: if you saw what happened daily in my office, you would see mistakes! Customer Service located the skirt I wanted at the Sarasota store, so I called and spoke with Gretchen and ordered it. It was the end of the day on a Friday, so I knew it wouldn’t ship until the following week. The package came and I was pretty excited and then discovered upon opening that it was a shirt for a woman in Louisiana. Hmmmm… Ironically in my size, but definitely not a skirt. I called them the next morning, and they were as puzzled as I was. Did the shirtless woman in Louisiana now have my skirt? I spoke with a woman(don’t remember her name, but — moving ahead in the story her name might start with an E and last name Anglelo?) who said she would try to track down another skirt and would call me shortly. When she did call back, she had found a skirt in Georgia and they would ship it to me, and her store would send a return label for me to return the shirt to them. Eventually my skirt arrived from Georgia(yay) as did a nice note apologizing for whatever had happened in the shipping area. The skirt from Georgia wound up being about $ 10 less, so I managed to get that deal as well. Mistakes happen, but Talbots always handles these things in the right way. Thank you!
