I had the unfortunate circumstance of having to go to this store. They didnt have what I wanted and werent willing to help or give me CUSTOMERSERVICE. Instead I got B*tch young Asian girl with a bad attitude like«I dont want to be here and hurry up and leave the store». Then I checked into ONLINEORDERING since they have an online service. Get this. Placed an order. They took my money off my credit card. Then told me when I tried to track what I ordered that it was never shipped because their Site wasnt’ working. Which it was because it gave me a confirmation number and they took my money and still have yet to be refunded or receive an email response or return phone call from them and it has been a week. WHATKINDOFCOMPANYDOESTHIS? VERYUNPROFESSIONALANDSHOULDNOTHAVE A LICENSETODOBUSINESSINTHISINDUSTRY. HORRIBLYRUDE. AND I AMFILING A COMPLAINTWITHTHEBETTERBUSINESSBUREAUAGAINSTTHISCOMPANY. I don’t know what some of the other reviewers are talking about. I always get great service here, and have never experienced a problem. I’ve been here a few times, always with other people. They always have what we need. A brush here, some color there. Yes, I agree that their prices aren’t competitive to others beauty supply stores, appearing to be more expensive than the rest. But the way I see it, beauty is pain, even to my pocket book.

OMG! I went into this store the other day, was going to have fun purchasing ALOT of things, just got my tax refund and was ready to splurge and spend a few hundred on me!!! BUT, the two employees there were RUDE from the start, they barely said a hello to me, then they went back to chatting with each other. There were 3 other ladies there waiting for an INTERVIEW to work there! THEY were nicer to me then the ignorant staff, Oh, and here were nice ladies for a job there and there is a sign on the window«help wanted» How rude!!!- what? they couldnt even take the sign down for the interviews? really? I HOPE they CLEANHOUSE, get a new staff in there that WANTS to WORK and is great with customers. By the way, I didnt buy a thing, I took my $$ and spent it elsewhere! I go where Im appreciated as a customer! and KAMAY is NOT the PLACE Its too bad because they have good products in there, but they cant be bothered with customers…

I wish I could give this place ZERO stars for their customer service. AREYOUFREAKINKIDDINGME?! What is with these women? Does this business only hire rude, ignorant, bitchy ladies? Because that is all I ever see in there. I’ve tried to go in again after the first few times they were completely rude to me and the last time I decided I will never take my business there ever again, and I will make sure none of my friends or family will take their business there either. The employees don’t acknowledge your existence and they stand at the counter and gossip the whole time. One of the girls tried talking to me like I was stupid and I was not having it. I don’t know how they get any business at all. Hopefully they will shut it down and put in a good cosmetics store sometime in the near future.

So it has been a week since my facial and several attempts to talk to someone has failed. They tell me that at this time the store does not have a manager. However when i called last week and spoke to Amy I now find out that she was a district manager. She couldn’t tell me that or didn’t want to help me. I finally go ahold of someone who told me that she was the temporary manager and that I would have to talk to Sarah in order to get a refund because she is the one that was paid. Funny I paid the store not her. They have been trying to get ahold of her to find a solution but at this point I think I am going to have to file a grievance with my credit card company. Had I know at the time I checked out that I had only been there an hour I would have questioned it at the time. So far the reviews are rude employees and terrrible facials. I don’t think, in fact I know I will never go back there for any reason again. They have given me the run around for the last week. Sarah couldn’t be bothered to call and I know she got the message. Another update. I finally had a manager from Kearny Mesa call me to say that she had spoken to Sarah and that Sarah didn’t relize that the facial was so short. So it was decided that they would refund me 15min of time. I really feel that the facial should have been refunded to me as I was not happy with it at all. Plus the fact that I had the runaround for the past week. I decided to take the offer(not that I had a choice). Again I would not recommend this store to anyone. I think that fact that Sarah didn’t have the courtesy to call me says alot about her. I was not happy with the facial and I should have been called to find out why. So far this store has not gotten alot of good reviews and I now know why…

I have been to Kamay many times, purchased many different beauty products, and have always been pleased with the staff, the products, and the prices. I love this store and hope it stays in Santee a long, long time. They have Bare Minerals, Jane Iredale, as well as many inexpensive great brands as well.

I was a loyal customer until this past December. My sister purchased a leave in hair treatement from Kamay Beauty for my mom which she used at most 3 – 4 times. Each time, my mom would question why the product would leave her hair wirey. This product had been purchased in October of 2009, however, my mom found that the leave in conditioner expiration date on the bottle was for July 2008. When my sister contacted the store to ask if she could exchange the product, she was given the run around. She was told Kamay’s computers were down and she would have to look for her receipt. My sister was told to contact the manager on this day and if the manager did not return her call to expect a return phone call. Needless to say, the store manager never contacted my sister. The next day, when my sister followed up with the sales associate, the sales associate advised the manager informed the sales associate that the only way they could only assist my sister would be with a receipt. I would NEVER recommend any business that is not willing to look up their information that is stored in their computer system. I would also NEVER recommend a business that sells expired products. This store lacks customer service and it’s obvious that even the person who manages this store does not care for their consumers. No exception was made due to the circumstances that they sold an expired product. **Mind you, I spoke to a friend who manages a salon and I was informed normally, if the product does not move on the shelves after 6 mos, they will move the product out.
