Walked my little guy downtown for his first real haircut, apparently they don’t open unless they have appointments, so even though the door and their website says they’re open at 10am, they might not be unless someone booked an appointment, but then they’d be too busy to take a walk-​in anyway. So, make an appointment or your business means nothing to these people. Don’t worry, 3-​year-​olds are incredibly understanding and don’t mind walking around for an hour downtown because someone didn’t come in that day.
–edit– I wrote the above in not a very good mood, so it is a little glib. Once we got in, the stylist was pleasant and efficient, and my little guy survived his first real haircut without a scratch. We’ll probably give them another chance and I’ll definitely write another review at that time.
My original review was 1 star, new one would be 4, they got the job done nicely.

They do a great job, but it is sometimes hard getting an appointment. They say they welcome walk-​ins but seem to be always to busy to take you as a walk-​in, so I recommend getting an appointment. Overall, they are very nice, the place is kept clean, and they do a good job on cuts. They have TV’s for the kids to watch as they get their cuts, helping them to hold still.

Love the chairs, entertainment and customer service. Super friendly, my kid always has a great time, and a great haircut!

Since my first review 3 years ago, we have been going back for regular haircuts ever since! Still a great experience every time.

The first time I took my son I had a good experience. The girl took her time and was great with my squirmish son. The 2^nd time I believe we had the owner and unfortunately I was less than pleased. She was cold and uninteractive with my son. You own a kids cut place, you should be good with kids! Unfortunately I will not be taking my son back here. Customer service is everything to me!

Great job on the kids hair. They always have so much fun here. They have movies for the kids to watch which is a major help. And of course there’s candy afterwards. Thanks!

I started cutting my son’s hair myself when he was about 6 month old. Now at 10 months it was time for a «real» haircut from a professional. We had a fantastic experience! My son got an adorable cut and we were in and out of the shop in 11 min. Any parent knows that’s a dream when it comes to your little ones who can have good or bad days. It’s no surprise this salon is busy due to their great reputation. I recommend you make an appointment. My son was a little young for any kind of treat from the prize box but we ‘ll be going back so he can enjoy a treat when he’s older. :)

Took my 3 year old autistic son there I have been searching for the right place cause my son has fits however the staff was great with him I could finally say I found my place to bring my son to get his hair cut every month thank u my son also got lined up for the first time I love there character chairs as well great people great atmosphere

Erica cut our son’s hair and we couldn’t be more delighted! We were very hesitant to take him to a professional since he’s not fond of strangers or people in his space (he’s about to be 2). Not only was he willing to let her cut his hair, he sat still and shocked both me and my husband! He was perfectly behaved and she cut expertly fast and it looks really great — layered and everything, just like we requested. We’ll definitely be back! $ 20 for a great cut and no hassle is worth it to us.

Great job. I walked in pretty late on a Friday evening and she took both my girls between appointments. She was fast and friendly, my girls appreciated the atmosphere and looked adorable when we left. Thank you!

I love this place! Erica is fast, friendly and has a great eye. Prices are very fair and I always leave happy. She’s great with kids too!

We took our 9 month old son here for his first haircut. We called at 12:30 and were able to get an appointment for 1:30 the same day (a Saturday). I was nervous about our son’s age making for a difficult experience but it went wonderfully. The stylist was very quick and still produced a great haircut. She was extremely pleasant and optimistic about how it would go. Not only was the price great at just $ 20 but we also got a certificate and lock of hair to keep. I will recommend this place to everyone and most definitely return.

I was looking for a good place to take my son for his haircuts since every where we had gone before always cuts a big gash in his hair when he gets tickled by the clippers,(he’s 3), Anyway, I found this place and he immediately loved it because of the cool seats they have for the kids and he got to pick out a movie to watch while he got his hair cut. My daughter also wanted to get her hair trimmed and Erica put it into a little braided up do with some glitter and my daughter was so excited. It was so nice to have a place that goes above and beyond and this is the only place I will take my kids now. Erica is really fast and really good, I highly recommend this place!

I take my son here every 6 weeks and he absolutely hates it, (because he doesn’t like his hair messed with) but they do a great job to minimize his upset and do a great job with the haircut. I’ve never had anyone rude, in fact it’s always been the opposite — very friendly.
You will want to schedule an appointment a few days ahead of time as they get very busy and if you are trying to be a walk in you will probably be disappointed.
I see a few reviews about refusing to cut hair of kids upset and it makes sense. Do you want your freaked out kid to start flopping around with shears around their face? I had to leave sans haircut once because my son was just not having it — doesn’t make anyone rude. It’s reasonable.
Hint — I hold my son in my lap while they cut his hair. After the first time doing this I learned my lesson and now bring a slick jacket to keep the hair off my clothes.

I took my daughter here yesterday. Erica was fabulous and so great with my 4 year old. My daughter felt very special afterwards. She loved the finishing touches with the crazy buns and added sparkle! Looking forward to going back!

Perfect place to take a two-​to-​three year old girl. The assistant was super friendly to my daughter, got her seated, asked her important questions (what’s your favorite color, movie, etc.) and then turned on Frozen, blew bubbles, and showed her bottles of pixie dust while she combed out her hair. Then the stylist came over for the trim. She got down to business and the trim and bangs were complete without a fuss. We walked out with a candy, certificate and good haircut for $ 20 plus tip. I didn’t think a first haircut was going to be this easy!

Perfect place for kids. We took our son who’s almost 2 for his first hair cut and we were very satisfied. He got to sit in a space ship type chair and watch his favorite cartoons. He loved it and so did we.

This place is great, I read the reviews first on Unilocal and I has very scared coming in but I decided to give it a try anyway. I arrived 30 minutes late and she still took me. It was my sons first haircut he was only nine months old. I don’t know her name but she did a great job with him and his hair came out great especially since he was moving his head around the whole time trying to look at her. She gave him a certificate for his first haircut. I would recommend this place to anyone with small children

I called last minute to try to get my son squeezed in and they were able to get him in last minute. Their whole staff was very professional from the beginning. He was having fun playing video games the whole time and was able to take a treat afterward. Haircut turned out great, will probably use Xclusive Kidz Kutz from here on out, and recommended it to anyone!

We took our almost 2 year old for his first professional hair cut. I had been doing it myself and he needed a real cut.
He sat on the cute little seat and watched the Cars movie. It started out well and then the scissors and clippers really scared him. Erica did a fabulous job with him (and me) trying to do the best she could with a wiggly kid. The cut turned out great and we got a fun little certificate for his «first» real haircut.
I give her a lot of credit. She was a saint with our little guy.
