Great price for the absolutely deliciois meal. Loved the refried beans. White beans? Had the 3 fried tacos. The chicken was sooo moist and flavorful like it has been slow cooking for hours. Really good. My BF had three enchiladas which he loved. Will be back.

Delicious, authentic Mexican food. The negative reviews are probably from people who say, «Let’s go to Chevy’s, I’m hungry for Mexican food.» I usually get chile rellenos or huevos rancheros, my son is more of a meat eater, he loves the carne asada and, I don’t know — I’m veg so I don’t pay too much attention but he is always stoked to go there. Mexican coffee, so tasty. Proper tortillas, no grocery store cardboard here, and friendly staff who answer in Spanish when this güera goes in. Plus super cute atmosphere — Ándale pues!

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Their housemade tortillas are so insanely soft and delicious. The corn tortillas are so smooth, I thought they were flour! Every dish I’ve ever had there, and I’ve had most of them, are phenomenal. Every single person who works there are so friendly and attentive! They really know the true meaning of customer service. If you want a guaranteed delicious Mexican meal served by genuinely nice people, come to La Texanita!

We come in every Sunday for the home made tacos with Panela cheese. The food is always amazing. Alma and her staff make you feel like family. The staff is always great and the food is awesome. My family loves La Texanita and Alma makes it even better. Thank you Alma!!!

The restaurant is a small hole-in-the-wall. But based on the reviews and the Guy Fieri recommendation, I decided to try this place. First off, there is almost no parking. Worse than any place I’ve been to. Plan on parking someplace else and then walking. I was there on a Monday afternoon at 3pm, when there were no other customers. So why no parking??? Secondly, the food is not very good. I ordered a fish taco, a chicken taco, and a carnita taco. The fish taco had tiny bits of fried batter. Couldn’t find the fish! And the chicken and carnita($ 3 – 4) were interchangeable. Could not tell the difference between them. Ordered the flan($ 4) and it was served on a teacup saucer.(Hard to get at the sauce.) So much for the food. Now for the service. .. Horrible. There was a waitress and a cashier, but they kept taking selfies with some guy. I had to wait a very long time to get my food or water, or the check. Considering I was the only customer, you would think I would get great service. But alas, no. If you’re looking for good Mexican food, go to El Charo on Farmers lane, or even El Favorite down the street. You’ll be glad you avoided this place.

This is definitely one of my regular places to visit while in town. All of the food is freshly made and is quite delicious. I’m Mexican and I honestly don’t eat Mexican food when we venture out for dinner. This restaurant however covers all bases from a great breakfast like chilaquiles or chorizo con huevos(which isn’t greasy at all), to great tacos for lunch and a fantastic molcajete for dinner. They offer great aguas frescas like horchata & café con canela(coffee brewed with cinnamon water). I really haven’t had a dish here that I didn’t like. I even brought the whole family here for breakfast after breaking down the camp ground at Spring Lake and it was a total hit with both the Mexican & non-Mexican members of the familia! Basically you can’t go wrong here. If you haven’t stopped in… you definitely should. Oh & that green crema style salsa is awesome!

The food was ok, but that food taste will eventually go away when you run out of your drink to wash it down with. We had gotten Horchata and then a party of 10 arrived and after that, we were never checked on again. I had asked the waiter what do we have to do to get refills, and was told that there are no free refills on Horchata. My response, I don’t care if you charge me again, I’m thirsty. Even after that, the refill never came. I started complaining to the waiter and he responded by asking me if I had been drinking? Never again will I visit this place.

My first time here was yesterday, and it was delicious. I got pastor tacos with the homemade corn tortillas! My friend got the chilaquilles! So, without further adieu: The Ness’s! Friendli-NESS Staff was friendly and accommodating. Nothing out of this world, by attentive. Cleanli-NESS They just had a HUGE party leave, so they were cleaning that up when we walked in. But everything else was very clean. The bathroom was also clean despite being a busy restaurant. Tasti-NESS I am a huge fan of pastor and everywhere I go I order it. This place did not disappoint. Put together with the homemade corn tortilla= delicious! I also had the Jamaica drink, which tasted the way Jamaica should. Also got a side of rice and beans that weren’t bad. EXTRACREDIT: the green sauce is OUTOFTHISWORLD. This restaurant was a 3 star but became a 4 star because of that sauce. Suggesti-NESS Can’t think of anything. It’s a well oiled machine, and they know what they’re doing. Overall-NESS Pretty decent place that my friend recommended. I don’t see myself coming back here, only because I don’t live in the area. But I would recommend it to anyone in the area looking for some solid Mexican food.

This little gem of a place has been featured on the Food Network Channel. This is the most extreme eatery in the most unexpected of places. Located on Sebastopol Rd where there is a plethora of Mexican food choices. La Texanita stands out above the rest. They provide wonderful indoor and outdoor seating. Their delicious menu offers a wide selection of tasty options so satisfy your Mexican food cravings. They have the best Pozole on Fridays & Saturdays. Along with homemade tortillas available all the time. We love to dine at this dive on a regular basis. Go and check out La Texanita to see what it’s all about!!!

Viva la Mexico! A taste of Mexico in Santa Rosa! I had been here before couldn’t get it out of my mind so naturally when I was up in Sonoma co. I had to come back! Good menu, typical California big real Mexican. Best part was their pesole! So flavorful and simple. Wanted more and more! Handmade tortilla tacos will definitely have me coming back again and again. With all the places on this street to try it’s very hard to pick one. This is one that’s a must! Small dinning area and busy! No hard alcohol. I’m already thinking about my next trip

This is the best Mexican restaurant in Santa Rosa! My favorite dishes are the chicken enchiladas with red sauce and the chile relleno. The flavors are just perfect and it makes my mouth water just thinking about it! Everyone in my family loves the food here including my 5 year old who always says«2 thumbs up!!!»

We saw this place on DDD a year ago when we were living in Oklahoma and decided that the next time we were in Santa Rosa, we would give it a shot. We were driving through so we came here yesterday for a late lunch. First, let me say that the ladies who work here are the absolute sweetest. Service was wonderful. As far as I can tell, most of their food is homemade. The chips were yummy and salsa was perfect spiciness. I had DELICIOUS carnitas taco made with homemade tortillas. The pork was cooked perfectly and there was hardly any fat. Refried beans were great also. My boyfriend had nachos with shrimp. He said his was delicious as well, though the shrimp could have been seasoned better. A tad expensive but I feel it’s worth it. Will definitely be back!

One of my favorite restaurants in town. the fact that its a family owned business… makes it even better! The environment just makes you feel at home. Fresh cooked meals, freshly made tortillas, & friendly staff… its just an overall welcoming place. Love it.

The food is good here and the servers are so nice. Only thing is that we asked for water several times during our meal and the waters just never came. And the camarones Al la Diabla we not very good. It’s supposed to be a spicy dish, instead it was sweet. Weird! All the other dishes we tried were very good though. I probably will not go back just because they have such a small menu…

Three words. Fresh handmade tortillas. One of the most important ingredients in authentic, homemade, grandma’s cooking Mexican food. I am half Mexican and have had the best home cooked meals my whole life. Up until now, I had always put Mexican food in two different categories: my family’s authentic food and the Mexican food you get anywhere else in America. This way I never had high expectations. La Texanita knows exactly what they are doing. I imagine a kitchen full of abuelitas cooking the amazingness that comes out of that kitchen. Must try a Huarache and the tacos with handmade tortillas. You can tell they are passionate there just by tasting their food. Service is great too. WHAT A GREATFIND!

YUM! This place is delicious! Like most Mexican food places, the harder to find, the better the food. La Texanita is tucked away in Santa Rosa and is a true hidden gem. Their food is always consistent and their seafood is always fresh in their ceviche. I love their al pastor and their tacos are only $ 1.25! You can’t beat that! My favorite thing about this place? The guacamole/sour cream dip they give you with chips! The best!

I dined here solo after running the Santa Rosa Marathon(yes, I showered before going to eat). The restaurant only had 4 tables occupied when I walked in but I still had to wait to be seated by an unfriendly fellow. Immediately upon being seated, I was asked what I wanted to drink. He came back quickly with a canned Diet Coke and asked if I knew what I wanted? In a hurry to be done with me I suppose. I ordered the Tacos Dorados(2 shredded beef, 1 potato) with rice and beans $ 10 but I didn’t get to peruse the menu fully. The chips given were fresh but the red salsa was bland and the green salsa that seemed to be made with sour cream wasn’t up my alley. My meal came out quickly. The tacos had a very very thin layer of shredded beef or potato inside and the tacos were laid sideways on the plate with iceberg lettuce, white crumbled cheese and salsa on top. It was kinda weird eating a taco tilted sideways and the iceberg lettuce made the cheese sorta mushy and the plate had alot of water on it. I think they presented it this way to make the food look more plentiful than it was. There was no flavor to the food whatsoever. The unfriendly guy who took my order never came back to check on me but another lady brought me the check. I have my doubts about the food featured on DDD. This was bland, Americanized Mexican food. I’ve become so spoiled by the Mexican spots in LA I suppose.

My search for the best cheese enchiladas is over! Perfect enchiladas made from in-house corn tortillas, and the sauce isn’t from a can. No grease, and not overly salted.
