This park sits opposite Santa Paula’s city hall and shares a parking lot with the post office. It has a large memorial to Santa Paula’s native sons and daughters who have fallen in the nation’s wars(thus its name!). A few benches and a blockhouse public toilet are about its only ammenities. There is a nice expanse of grads with shade trees. Good place to let the kids run around… or have carnivals, which it does several times a year.

I love this park! I teach World History and I love the plaques that gave factual information about the wars. I love the map. We all need more Geography in our lives. Thank You veterans for all you have done for our country. God Bless You All! There is playground apparatus for small children. There are public bathrooms. I wish my son had been with me because the skate park looked awesome(to a non-skateboarding Mom). It was busy at dusk. that’s a good sign, right? The bus stop is on E. Ventura St. As I walked by, the young teenage couple making out didn’t seem to notice anyone but themselves. My sister-in-law just moved to Santa Paula. She lives very close to the park. Lucky her!
