Fine dining in Santa Paula! Yay! Had a great experience and fabulous food. The potato encrusted salmon as delish and a huge portion… Made two meals of it.

This is a food and wine lovers dream. The classic dishes are enhanced by subtle ingredient alterations– that tantalize the taste buds. Then there is always the perfect wine to pair with them all.

Came here for lunch … I was not impress my food was tasteless. The chicken had no flavor and way over price for what I got… I might try it again and order a different meal but this was my second time here and both times were disappointing so not sure if I will go back !!!

Every time I come here I ask myself«why don’t I come here more often?» Every appetizer, entrée & dessert is fresh, flavorful and made perfectly… and the service is impeccable. This place is totally off the beaten path but don’t let it’s location fool you. Inside it’s white tablecloths, jazz music & a six page wine list. Wish I could give them more stars :)

This is off the beaten path in an industrial center. I found it through Unilocal. We came for breakfast and it was delicious! The place is very clean. Looks like lots of locals come here. We both had eggs with obrien potatoes. The jam was homemade strawberry with cinnamon. It was delicious! I will for sure be coming back !

Huevos con chili verde… it’s the best. Awesome dinners as well. But the breakfast is the best on the 126.

Finally made it here! Read all the reviews and was excited to make the trek out here. It’s a tad hard to find if you don’t know where you’re going. Don’t give up! CONS: They weren’t that busy when we arrived. We were seated in a booth, and our drink orders were taken and delivered rather quickly, which was nice. I ordered the Chicken Salad and my first ordered the Pastrami Sandwich. My only complaint is that the salad didn’t really have much taste, but presentation was amazing! The customer service was unremarkable. Literally I don’t know who are server was, it was that uneventful. I won’t be returning because of their customer service… PROS: My friend’s sandwich looked so good. I wish I’d ordered that instead. She ordered a side salad instead of fries and the salad was substantial! She got water to drink and I got a Shirley Temple. The drink was very good, but it didn’t have a cherry. Boo. But I will return again because I want to try a sandwich next time and the Chile Verde I’ve read so much about!

Excellent food, drink & service. Love the newly remodeled décor. Very romantic and not as loud as before. We will definitely be back.

My wife talked me into coming here instead of our usual dinner place and I was completely surprised and happy with the results. The service was excellent and the food was good. The portions were huge and I couldn’t finish my meal. It is definitely out of the way but worth finding it.

This five star review is for the breakfast chile verde. It’s really something special. While the price can seem a bit high, the portion is large enough that I’ve always had enough leftovers for lunch. The rest of their breakfast food is good too, but the chile verde is the star. Really comfortable atmosphere, friendly wait staff; I’ve consistently had great breakfasts here for years.

We continue to come back here for breakfast, and are always very impressed with service, and food quality! We go out of our way 25 miles just to come here and enjoy a great meal! Thank you Hozy’s for always being rock solid!

We went for Valentines Day not realizing that they had something special going on. This hidden gem is just awesome. Great food, Great Service, Christine is always so attentive. We decided after such a wonderful evening that we would make this a tradition for Valentines Dinner now. Reservations make it easier to get in and not feel like another number. I love that. I loved the 5 courses, Chef did himself good! Thank you to everyone at Hozy’s for all that you do!

I came here for breakfast on a recommendation from a friend and was very disappointed. I ordered the Laurie’s omelette and my friend got the corned beef and hash which says its home made but looked and tasted like canned. The omelette was okay but nothing special and they serve Pepsi which I didn’t like when I ordered Coke they should ask is Pepsi okay. I sent it back for water. We had to wait about 30 mins for our food. longer than normal wait for most breakfast places. Our waitress came by once and we had to flag down other waitresses for things which wasn’t an easy task since they walk by so fast without even looking at you. Our toast was burnt, super hard, and didn’t taste like sour dough. I couldn’t find the waitress so i just put a ton of jelly on it just to make it edible. We also ordered a side of beans which we had to ask for twice, they finally came when we were almost done. Needless to say the service was not very good which I was surprised since they have a lot of waitresses. This place is out of the way and you probably wouldn’t know it’s there unless someone told you about it as its not near any other restaurants or shopping. Also, for breakfast the food was a little on the expensive side $ 15.95 for chicken fried steak! Maybe it’s better for dinner but the breakfast/lunch menu was not impressive and they need to work on the service quality.

I’d give Hozy’s six stars if possible. What a unique, hidden gem of a restaurant! The absolute best Chile Verde I’ve ever tasted and I’ve tasted a lot. Generous portions, a great menu and nice employees. The place is usually spotless, only knock would be the small rest room and the rude customers that go in, lock the door and won’t come out. I have only been there for breakfast and lunch because I don’t live in the area. Sometimes I make the 70 mile round trip drive just to bring home some Chile Verde. I take it to my friend’s Mexican restaurant here in my town, and we sit at the bar and eat it there. I have standing orders from two of his employees to bring them each a quart of Chile Verde whenever I go to Hozy’s.

Horrible the waitress could not bring me the meal that I ordered chicken Fried steak, grilled asparagus NOADDITIONALPEPPER.ADDED. When my plate arrived there was pepper on my asparagus. At that point my steak was delicious I just wanted NOPEPPERONMYASPARAGUS. I sent it back and the young girl returned with a steamed asparagus and a mushy chicken fried steak. I was just getting more frustrated and losing my appetite at this point. I got up and told the main waitress who never came back to check on us after our order. I told her I just wanted my meal the way I ordered it nothing more. She’d then said there was pepper in the gravy and suggested it on the side. I said whatever I just wanted to stop bringing attention to myself. The third plate arrived STREAMED Asparagus again, cold potatoes and gravy in the side. When the waitress came back I just asked her to take the plate. I didn’t eat, my evening was ruined. Oh ya and our bill was $ 408.00. My suggestion is Hozys needs to re-train their waitresses. The food is Excellent! Their ability to take orders is TERRIBLE. Sorry chief they ruin your reputation ! There are to many other food establishments to waste your money here!

Really nice place that’s hidden off to the southeast part of town. Since we’re normally just passing through on the way to, or from, Ventura and Carpinteria, we had no idea that there was anything over on this side of town. It’s a pretty average looking restaurant, but the breakfast was delicious and the service is really attentive. I was wanting a Mexican breakfast and was considering the Chili Verde and asked the waitress about it — who brought us a taste to see how we liked it. My husband loved it and got Eggs with Chili Verde, which I got the regular Huevos Rancheros. Both were terrific and big. You can tell that they’re making their own sauces, the chiles have a nice bit of char, the beans are a good mix of blended and whole pintos. In both cases these dishes are made slightly differently than we’re used to. The Rancheros comes on a crispy tortilla with a housemade salsa, cheese and beans and potatoes on the side. The Eggs are served on top of the Verde(which has small chunks of pork in it) along with tortillas and potatoes. We both got the hash browns which are very crispy on the top and tender inside. Service was excellent, waters and coffee filled all the time and people checking to make sure you’re enjoying the meal. We plan to return!

The prime rib was delicious, and the poke martini might have been the best thing I have ever tasted! For an out-of-the-way type of place, this little restaurant is a great destination.

Hozy’s is a small restaurant hidden off the 126 freeway in Santa Paula behind the defunct Ford dealership in a non descript building that doesn’t look like much but don’t let that fool you. Amazing meals are being served inside. Pros. Where do I even start. I’ve had breakfast, lunch, and dinners there and they are all amazing. This time we had breakfast of chicken fried steak and eggs Benedict and both were delicious. The poached eggs cooked perfectly. The hash browns browned just right. The fruit deliciously ripe. Service is usually pretty good. The coffee is very good too. Cons. You need to show up early because the restaurant is small and gets busy very quickly. We got there when it opened and by the time we left there was a dozen people waiting to get it.

Went to this place on a Friday night to have dinner with my boyfriend. We were looking for really good food and we were excited because the last time we ate there, the food was excellent. I do remember the customer service being not that great but I figured let’s give it a try. We walked in and there were about five tables empty and one of the waitresses kept staring at us but never came over to talk to us. finally she said she would set up a table for us, but kept looking at us like we didn’t belong. After about seven minutes of waiting for this table to be set up my boyfriend asked me if I felt invisible as he did. I realize that it was really bad customer service and maybe we weren’t wanted there. So we left!!!

Hands Down! One of the Best Breakfast I ever had in my entire life. Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Hash Browns and Toast was juicy and delicious. Homemade Strawberry Jelly. I ordered a Spanish Omellette and it was delicious. It feels like they packed it with a a pound of Bell Peppers and Onions. Big portions. You won’t be hungry after your done. Waitress Antonia gave great customer service. Fast and friendly. It’s a definite must try place.
