This place is soo awesome! The vibe in here is incredible! Dining here made me feel like i was back in Berkeley on shattack ave. The girls at the front were soo nice and helpful. They make their own almond milk and have vegan options! Won me over

I walked in to update my cellphone and reprogram some lost music as well as study GarageBand .lol.I didn’t know if I had found a place to stay an hour or the rest of my life? ! Well, I almost moved in, naw not really but I stayed here all day and evening and had a beautifully exquisite egg scrambled with toast and orange slices, all organic all fresh all so good I can hardly describe in words. Then at lunch, Pam made a power smoothie with. Mixed berry, apple juice, honey, kale, ginger and lemon, wow, it lasted me till 6pm and I had to eat again so I got a hot huge bowl of turkey chili chips all for 6.50 and there was plenty of turkey beef in it ! Wow then at about nine at night I ate a fresh organic turkey sandwich with lettuce tomato cheese a little buttery, sauce, and onions all fresh organic nod good, even the tart green pickled peepers were, extraordinary! Thank You, I appreciate the sweetness by which all this clean food was made. I prayed right out loud for every meal, in Jesus name.amin.

I came here occasionally for coffees, brewed coffee or latte it doesn’t mind, I love them both. It’s just a small place and simple. They have great service. I have no complaints because they always make sure that their costumer is well treated and served excellently. This place is my To-Go place whenever i want to hangout and spent some time for myself.

This place is so cute. I met a Tinder date here before and this was his suggestion. It’s really cute and small. In the back room is a small stage where people perform. For consumption, they serve bagels, hot chocolate, tea, water, coffee, and soda. I had their sparkling apple juice and it was so delicious.

I haven’t been here for awhile, so when I initially walked in, I walked right back out. The crowd just shocked me a little bit-very young urban hippie Bay Area(Oakland/Berkeley/Haight Ashbury) type. If only I were 19, I would have been so in my element with them. I sat in my car for 15 minutes trying to figure out what to do… I was like«but dang, I’m already here, and I went through all this hassle to find a non-restricted parking space, so why leave?» After I had this long dialogue in my head, I decided to go back in. I shared a table with this charming old man until he left, and gradually adjusted to the scene that caught me totally off guard. It was some kind of music night in the performance area, and it wasn’t long until I found myself sinking into the live performances, eventually going into complete chill mode. These kids had skills and I enjoyed the talent they offered. I ordered an almond milk chai latte with a shot of espresso, and a cream cheese bagel with tomatoes. All was good, really good. I was going to rate UnUrban as a 3 star, but I’m giving it a 5 because of its history, the fact that it’s a small business, it’s bohemian, AND despite tonight’s initial shock, I’ve always loved this place, and think it’s still pretty cool. However, it’s probably more my vibe during the daytime. Kudos to the owner… just cuz. All I want to know is why this one guy felt the need to literally prop right in front of me and EAT??? I found myself very irritated by him, but I really didn’t know what to say other than, «OMG! Seriously???» 062⁄100

This place Rocks! Love the ambiance which is completely the opposite of any coffee house. It’s nice and relaxing and their drip is pretty darn good. The times I’ve been here, the staff has always been kind and knowledgeable(no complaints here!).

I really like it here, great place to come with friends and talk with them. The employees here are really friendly. They have really good vegan cheesecake. On fridays and weekends they sometimes have people playing music and stuff like that.

This place was beyond disgusting. The entire place smelled of urine and everything looked unsanitary. We ordered some teas and scrambled eggs. We drank our teas and the eggs still hadn’t come out so we reminded them. Thirty minutes later. Still no eggs. We walked out at that point and just went to the restaurant next door. We also had to move tables three times to try and find a spot that didn’t stink of urine. Staff was rude both times I went. If I could give less than one star I would.

Cool coffee Café but they need to invest in an air conditioner. Don’t go here if you want to hang out on a hot day. Hot and stuffy and it was only 80 outside. Super friendly staff and good menu of drinks and pastries

Love. So cute. I’ll be back. I’ll bring my crew. I hate that my review has to be so long. You don’t really have to say much about this place, it’s nice chill and slipper approproate. Damn Unilocal says I have to keep writing. And now I’m done.

The UnUrban, is more than just a coffee house, it is a community filled with colorful characters, friendly baristas, and scrumptious pastries. Their menu much like their cliental has a little bit of everything including gluten free, dairy free, & vegan options. The UnUrban, is a great place to study or to meet new people. It is the kind of place where you go to have a cup of coffee and end up staying for a meal and a laugh.

Food is not tasty and the customer service is God awful. It had potential but it’s a joke of an independent coffee shop. In other words I have had better. Oh and their coffee has that sour taste of not properly cleaned dispensers.

This place is a very unique spacious hole in the wall place to grab a delicious meal. Staff was very nice, conversational, and patient. He even let us pick out our own bagels from the bagel jar. I love all the outlets, makes for the best spot to relax and get away from the crowds will juicing your phone. Not to mention parking wasn’t hard to find… and it was free! The reason I gave this 4 stars was only because it was difficult to find seating due to left over plates and crumbs on the tables. My friend and I had to move an old plate with food on it to a different messy table to sit, but we loved this place none the less. I would advise asking what’s in/on the sandwiches and drinks before you buy. They write what is on/in the stuff but yet there is additional stuff they don’t. My friend and I both had a small issue with this, because she can’t really have cream cheese and I just don’t like banana in my smoothie. Food is fresh, delicious, and they are even vegan friendly. So yeah, this place is pretty fantastic and should be put on your road trip check list for sure :)

UnUrban café: is it still the same place? I asked myself when a friend invited me to meet her there. And yes, it is pretty much the same place, one of the last bastion of independently-owned boho coffee shops in Los Angeles. Has a homey interior, bright colors painted on the walls and mismatched furniture. People can generally mind their own business on their laptops, or in the case of one customer, watercolor a skateboard deck in peace. UnUrban, you have outlasted Van Gogh’s Ear. Whatever you are doing to stay around, it is working. Food Wares: I had an ice coffee with the special in house coconut milk. I shared a delicious tuna melt. Forgot you were there, UnUrban. I will be back.

I’ve been going here to work or just find shade and have a coffee for years. I’ve even held meetings and interviews here. It’s quiet during the day, the wifi is not bad, the sandwiches are good, but chai lattes are kinda sucky. But that’s ok. Love the entertainment, the art and unusual furniture. This is for the barrista, um, Milan(or something like that). He’s a blondish, thin guy, 20’s-30’s. I was there almost two weeks ago, trying to dodge the heatwave. I left, got home, realized I left my phone there. I went back and he had it behind the bar waiting for me, I didn’t have to ask or search. Also, while I was there watching a band perform, I had finished my tea. He came by twice to my table to ask if I wanted a refill of ice water! I have NEVER had a barrista do that! I hope he gets tipped well. He deserves it!

Service was friendly and they made good drinks. Coffee taste like coffee, not like burnt coffee beans. Nice selection of pastries and food items. Wi-fi is pretty slow and bogged easily with 2 – 3 people using it. Interior looks like a south of the border drug house(kidding). No air conditioning. But there’s a piano and PA system with a little stage. I’ll update this review the next time I’m here for an open mic night.

I went in this morning for coffee and no one was at the counter. I called out a few times. Still no one. Finally, some dude rolls up all disheveled and tells me he had been passed out in the back. He takes my order and it’s clear he’s high as fuuuuuck. Proceeds to garble out random nonsense & make me uncomfortable. On top of that, he got my order wrong. I hope this is an anomaly. It was my first time here & suffice it to say that UnUrban Coffee did not make a good first impression

This place is a quaint trendy spot that is very welcoming. It feels like someone’s home and there are lots of options for organic products. I did a basic iced coffee. Simple. No flavored creamers. I did pay extra for the almond milk which really was the high light of the experience. It is quite amazing. I then just got a bagel. Not the best. Just tasted like an old grocery store bagel, nothing special. I will next time try a pastry and a specialty drink to get more variety and switch it up. Seems like a good place to study during the day too.

REALLYCOOLPLACE! Just down the street from SMC across from Trader Joe’s. Saw my friends band play here last night and they were really good & so were the other musicians I saw. I didn’t get any coffee unfortunately, but I thought the place was really cool so I thought I would take a picture and do a positive Unilocal review because I love independent coffee shops like this that are open really late & have bands play there love it! I guess it’s stupid to do a Unilocal review if I haven’t had the coffee but I want to support them so I’ll come back & update the review when I’ve had the coffee! One of the last«Bohemian» Coffee Shops in LA& their def the real deal!

Coffee-ordered an Americano w.2 shots –flavorful not quite as strong as I would have liked but great flavor and not bitter at all! Many other interesting drinks on the menu-tea-and homemade Almond Milk no artificial flavors or non dairy– interesting– must try another time! Also had a toasted poppyseed bagel w. a fried egg, chedder cheese and tomatoes-very tasty and prepared fresh! Great place for a Saturday morning get-together with friends-plenty of indoor seating! And quiet! Free Wi-Fi Loved the Artsy vibe-a few odd characters did stroll in but don’t they come into every coffee shop! Street parking and a small lot in back. The employees were all very friendly! If you want something unique. and almost a step back into the 70’s get your groove on here ! Wish I had taken a photo of the place.

+1 for the eclectic décor. The coffee here is tasty. Ordered an Americano and to my surprise/delight, it never became sour as the day progressed. Could it be the organic beans they use? Smooth and easy to drink(once it cooled down a bit), this Americano was just right. It won’t have the same caffeine hit as other places but i’ll let that slide as long as the flavor doesn’t turn. Latte — like the Americano, flavor didn’t change a bit once it cooled. It remained creamy throughout its short lifetime. I’ll definitely stop by again if i’m in the area.

YUPPIESBEWARE — This is probably not what you’re looking for. The coffee is mediocre, the internet is iffy, and you’re not gonna get your food on time. Deal with it. Anyone who puts a negative review about this place is actually probably telling the complete truth about their experience. But come on, you saw the smokers outside(both kinds), you saw the quasi-homeless man in the flowery skirt, you saw the brought-from-home furniture. What kind of idiot would expect exceptional coffee/service here? You come here for the atmosphere. The strange. The fringe. The artists. The musicians. The poets. The lost souls. You’ll see shit here you won’t see anywhere else, and its so worth it. This is as hippie as it gets — more than once I’ve had someone behind the register ask me «Hey, did I charge you yet?» That’s just how the place is. If you want anything different go to starbucks already, normie. Let UnUrban be your muse, not your servant.

Nice place but there is much room for improvement. There is smoke from people illegally smoking outside [wiyhin 20 feet of door is illegal]. The homeless and rude people need to be banned. I was there 2 hours ago. One of the employees had been injured tonight by a ‘crazy’ that hangs out there and seems ‘off’. [Like I said this hanger on seems crazy]. The furniture needs to be replaced. The food [I do not eat here] need to be cleaner. I dont believe the ‘A’ or is it a ‘b’] rating in the window. Also I had a major run in w the owner where she blamed her incompetence on a patron. I would rather not elaborate on this nasty event. If you need a place away from home for coffee and to work on yr laptop this is the place.

An extremely annoying okcupid invited me to drive 10 miles to meet at this coffee shop. The breakfast sandwich I ordered was as boring as my date. I had a ginger — lemon latte thing and it was really good. I asked how it was made and am now taking that secret to my kitchen and never leaving the house. Seems to be a mom and pop type of place with a certain personal charm to it that unfortunately was not my particular cup of tea. There’s a lot of silly novelty items for sale in front and a bunch of hope couches in the back. The guy making my sandwich muttered something about how he wasn’t happy with his job. I tried to cheer him up but still ended up with a :/kind of mood. My already tedious date conversation was interrupted by some hollywood goth dude whom I ended up giving my card and ignoring on facebook. He seemed to be friends with the sad sandwich guy. The owner was a very kind lady and the atmosphere seemed cozy, for the right people. I felt out of place with all the folky art and Classic rock. I’m kind of glad I live 10 miles away since this isn’t quite my vibe, but I’m sure there’s a community around here that needs the hippie dippie chit chat and normal coffee/bland food combo. It’s like starbucks with a soul.

We saw this spot last night as we walked to Upper West for dinner. Just from a quick peak inside we had already decided we would have our post-dinner coffee here. Upon entering, I immediately took notice of the interesting and eclectic group of people in this café. They also had a band playing in the back which is a great idea for a Friday evening. I had myself a regular decaf and my boyfriend ordered a cappuccino. His dad had a decaf like myself. They both really enjoyed their coffees. I thought mine wasn’t too shabby either. I’d probably go back there to study. Also the guy who served us was pretty funny and provided great service. Next time I’ll have to try one of their pastries!
