Love love loveee Danielle & Shear Beauty. I don’t color my hair or do any drastic styles, but Danielle is my go to girl for an amazing trim. The first time I visited, I just had her curl my hair, but now she’s the only person I have cut my hair.
Her salon is adorable & because you get one on one private service, I always feel like a celebrity when she’s doing my hair! Her attention to detail is my favorite though. after she’s cut it and blown it out, she goes back in to make sure the hair is cut evenly & perfectly. It’s a special touch that makes my haircut feel that much more perfect.

Today was the day I decided to cut my long hair completely off. I needed a change and wanted to do if fast. Me and my really good friend Stumbled along this place and its such a cute little studio from cuts, blowouts, color and style. I am completely happy with my do my hair is in a little shock and will up load my style soon. A little change won’t hurt nobody. Thanks again for the beautiful work. Prices are affordable and doable for the location in the heart of Santa Monica. I will be back soon thanks Danielle you are the best and a trooper for cutting my hair. It took like 3 hours omg haha for my thick hair

Danielle is the best! She gave me literally the best blowout I’ve ever had. I have pretty dry and thick hair and usually when I get a blowout I still have to use a curling iron to get it smooth, but not after Danielle finished! She’s also super sweet and great to chat with, which is important when it’s just you and them in a room. And her salon is very cute and inviting. I highly recommend her!

I first went to Danielle for a blowout in May 2015 and she did a great job! Since, I have been going for hair cuts and color. Danielle is always personable and professional! I highly recommend her!

I’m extremely happy I found Danielle! I have very curly thick hair so naturally my hair is a bit harder for stylist to deal with. I usually stay away from hair salons because of this. But I had an insane amount of split ends and bleach damage so I had to go!
I was definitely surprised when Danielle knew exactly how to handle my hair and showed me products that would help me manage my curls! I got a pretty average haircut but I liked how she took her time with my hair and made me feel pretty I decided to get my hair blown out too cus I have a double date tonight and I wanna look nice. I would definitely come back she was very pleasant and I definitely feel like I can trust her with my curls. From what I’ve read on here she’s helped lots of other curly haired girls too!

Danielle gave me a fantastic blowout. I have very fine hair and with her magic touch she was able to give it fantastic body and volume which lasted a couple days. She’s also really sweet and fun to talk to! :)

Danielle did a great job trimming my hair. I am very happy with my hair style. The salon is nice, clean and cute. She is really nice. I highly recommend her!

Danielle is wonderful! She really takes her time and wants to give you exactly what you want. I had a wonderful haircut and great scalp massage. She uses really awesome natural hair products. She is so sweet and makes you feel comfortable and heard. I highly as recommended her! A rarity in LA.

I got a shampoo + blowout from Danielle today and I really like how it turned out! I have thick curly hair and some stylists either don’t know how to handle it. Let me tell you: she definitely knows how to deal with curly hair!
After asking what kind of style I wanted Danielle used a round brush, a blow dryer, and minimal product to give me a mostly-​straight look with a little bit of body (exactly what I wanted). When she was almost done she asked if I wanted her to use a flat iron and a tiny bit of product to lock the style in place. I said yes because it was windy and humid on this particular day, but I really appreciated that she asked for my preference rather than just deciding. My my hair feels smooth and light even several hours later.
I am really happy with my hair and I have a feeling that (as long as I keep my head reasonably dry in the interim) this blowout will keep my hair pretty low-​maintenance for the next several days!

I needed a simple hair trim, but Danielle’s haircut ended up being so much more than that! She started off with a consultation asking me what I wanted to do and provided her recommendations, followed by a relaxing wash with head massage, then cut, and beautiful blowout– it was truly a wonderful beauty experience :)
She owns her cute corner salon conveniently in the heart of Santa Monica, walking distance to 3^rd street. She was very responsive when booking an appointment and flexible with her timings– she was able to book my sister and I with back-​to-​back appointments. Since it is her own salon with a single seat you really feel like you are getting personal attention rather than being one of the many clients in a huge salon. You can tell she has a lot of experience with hair and cares about her clients overall hair health. My blowout feels like it is going to last all weekend. Highly recommend Danielle for all your hair beauty needs!

I was so fortunate to stumble across Danielle’s cute salon right in the heart of Santa Monica! Felt like a mini-​spa when i walked in & she has the nice corner salon with a view. I almost fell asleep when she was washing my hair as she was giving me an intense head massage! I told her i only wanted a trim & she didn’t force me to cut off any more than i wanted even though she recommended i could use more to get rid of all my split ends. She restyled my bangs to give them a youthful new look that i wasnt expecting! She blow dried my hair so efficiently, that when you see my hair it looks like she spent hours flat ironing, but i was in & out with a fresh new haircut and style :) i definitely recommend Danielle to anyone searching for a new hair stylist they can trust!!!

Danielle did my hair (and my mom’s hair) for my wedding and it was perfect! My mom and I both loved the way our hair turned out! I didn’t want to take my up-​do down at the end of the night.
Danielle was an absolute pleasure to work with. I live up North and chose to plan a wedding in Los Angeles without having any time to actually be in LA, which presented some challenges. I contacted Danielle via email and immediately felt confident that she was the stylist for me! I was able to send her some photos to give her an idea of what I wanted, but after looking through her portfolio I totally trusted her judgement. I booked her a few months in advance and she was even able to do my trial just 2 days before my wedding which was the only time I had available. She created a beautiful braided up do that was the perfect combination of classy sophistication and flower child (exactly what I wanted!).
Furthermore, I had an early morning wedding and Danielle traveled all the way to the South Bay at 6am!
Danielle did an amazing job, and the entire experience was easy and fun! I cannot recommend her services enough for any bride to be. Thanks Danielle!

Just saw Danielle on sort of a whim and seriously, best decision ever! I had a tough case of brassiness and unevenness and she tackled it with patience and expertise. My hair looks the best it has looked in years and I have gotten so many compliments! Awesome haircut as well. She is very sweet and made the experience relaxing. I will be coming back to her as a regular now.

Wow! Amazing cut today with Danielle. Just moved here from Chicago and have been going to the same person for 10 years and was nervous finding someone new. She listened but also offered suggestions which I appreciated. She has a cute /​private room in a larger salon space which i loved because it felt very personal and peaceful. She has been a cutting for 10 years so very experienced even though she looks young:) I also feel she did not over product my hair so I’m thinking this blow-​dry will last awhile and does not feel greasy. Do not hesitate to book her.

Went to Danielle through a personal reference and I’m quite delighted with my haircut! I’m growing my hair out and it needed some major maintenance to make it look healthier and shinier. Danielle did a great job and I appreciated her personalized attention. Her private salon suite is also very inviting and this calm space helped me relax after a long busy week. I’ve been seeing Danielle for about a year now for haircuts. She has consistently given me amazing cuts and follows my wishes exactly. I find it hard to find a stylist who is good at cutting bangs and she does an excellent job!
She has a private room that’s very nicely decorated. It’s so great to be able to get your hair done without the noise of other clients, stylists, and blow dryers!
There’s ample metered street parking and I’ve never had a problem parking on within a block of the salon.
P. S. I’ve always been kind of eh when my previous stylists have blow dried my hair. But I will say that I LOVE the way Danielle blow dries my hair after a cut. I don’t know if it’s because she also works at dry bar, but I always leave with amazingly styled hair!

I am so happy I found Shear Beauty on the Go, Danielle is a super sweet stylist and really good at what she does. I have been getting my hair cut by Danielle for about two years now. I have long really thick hair and she tames it so well! Danielle is a pro when it comes to cutting long hair and her blowouts always leave my hair super silky smooth.
Danielle also did balayage on my hair, giving it a little sunkissed look, I loved how it was subtle enough but beautiful. I will continue seeing Danielle and recommend her to all of my friends!

Walked by her studio a few times on Broadway and thought it looked nice, so I made an apt. Boy am I glad I did!
Danielle is amazing! I went in because I was getting headshots done (I’m an actor) and wanted a nice clean, professional look. She was able to give me a great men’s haircut at a good price. My hair wants to grow at weird angles in the back, and she was able to make it all look great (even tho other stylists have had trouble).
She is super sweet too! Her studio was warm and inviting with tons of natural light and a relaxing atmosphere (complete with mini waterfall and soothing music). She listened to me blather on about career trouble I’ve had and genuinely seemed like she cared about what I had to say.
It took me a while but I’ve found my hairstylist in LA.
