Website stated they were open until 7pm on a Friday. Stopped by at 6:20pm and they were closed. Either fix your hours on your website or tell your employees to not close early.

Website says they are open until 6 on Sunday. Came by at 5:38 and they were closed.
I called and a woman stared at my through the window on the phone to tell me they close at 5, despite what the website and Unilocal says.
Was planning to purchase over $ 100 worth of product, but will take my business elsewhere.

I have been a patron of this Planet Beauty location ever since it opened, so suffice to say this review is overdue. Whenever I go here, I am thoroughly and consistently impressed by the level of knowledge that these women have across the beauty product platform. Their high-​touch and inquisitive service model always ensures that I walk out with something that is the right fit for me, not just something they’re trying to get off the shelves. I also appreciate the fact that Planet Beauty has frequent sales with very few exclusions. It is a pleasure shopping here.

Although I dearly miss Bay Cities Beauty Supply that was at this location (for decades), I do go in and buy from Planet Beauty as I did today. Well stocked and nicely displayed, this store carries a nice selection of hair care, skin care, cosmetics and nail care.
Today I picked up some OPI nail polish, fragrance sticks, eye pads and a purple beautyblender. There was a nice sale (buy one, get one 40% off) and other promotions unadvertised. Help was immediate and friendly (as always).
Here’s what stood out as a positive: I really appreciate that they carefully check ID’s and credit cards.
Here’s what I didn’t really appreciate today: I’m sure that the sales associate was merely trying to be helpful, but did she think that I was so old, so out of it, that I wouldn’t know how to use a beautyblender or fragrance sticks?
I guess I miss the cranky, mature sales staff of the former store — they knew I had been around «the biz» for many years and well know my way around products and promotions, potions and polish.

Left the store with a bad feeling of being ripped off! A Groupon is what brought me here to begin with! The sale girl was helpful and nice but forgot to add the groupon to my final bill, after noticing that, I went back to the store for my refund only to find out that using the groupon actually cost me more because other «promotions» on the marked up products did not apply. Bad marketing! Feeling ripped off is the worse.

is obviously doing something right, definitely right by me.
Running low on Jane Iredale® staples, I stopped here. Missing the Fairfax store, where almost everybody knows my name, I wondered how I’d be treated as a walk-​in newbie.
NO worries. Doesn’t matter if you’re a kitten, cougar or crone, it’s the same great, knowledgeable, upbeat, friendly service.
Unfortunately, a return trip was necessary as they were out of the pressed powder I needed, but an order was expected Tuesday of the following week.
True to form, my consultant told me of a current sale, buy one Iredale® item, get another of equal or lesser value at half off but I’d have to pay for it up front to get the deal and bring my receipt at pick up. NO problem. She verified my contact info. I’m in their e-​mail system and also true to form, Planet Beauty does not inundate my inbox.
OK, that was Thursday afternoon. Saturday, I received a phone call my item was in, early. Luv it when a business under promises and over delivers! I couldn’t return until Monday. NO problem, they’d hold it for me.
In and out Monday in less than five minutes, happy and set for another six months until it’s time to land on the planet again to stock up or perhaps to just explore.
Wasn’t about to waste time, gas to find metered parking so I used the #3 lot on the west side of Fourth Street just north of Santa Monica Boulevard. First 90-​minutes is free!

I used to come here all the time back when it was another beauty supply store. I was surprised to see it had switched to Planet Beauty and even more surprised by how organized and clean the interior looked!
The lady that helped me was a very energetic black woman. She was very clear and seemed very knowledgable about the products in the store — especially the dry conditioner a purchased. I absolutely loved the goodie bags they were giving out since it was their grand opening and actually will be coming back soon to purchase one of the shampoos they gave in the bag! Great store, good customer service.

Love the service and all of the products! The staff was knowledgable. I got some awesome Moroccan oil products, a lip balm and some amazing smelling lotion. This place is fantastic!
