Brochachos y Brochachas I really dig this store — think it’s one of the only(if not THE only) Pata shops with surf gear, too! Everyone’s super helpful and friendly. Really nice facility, spacious and open. Doesn’t hurt that Pata products are top shelf, too. Decide for yourself! Good shopping to you…

lots of good items in stock. free beer or coffee if you ask. EXTREMELY helpful and knowledgeable staff. I’ve called them on the phone for washing advice etc. Manager did me a huge solid by ordering 5″ standup shorts to the store for me. i love patagonia and love the santa monica crew!

The merchandise is as good as it is at every Patagonia, but the customer service was the pits. Two sales people pointed out how I could help myself in their store without any other customers. They definitely seemed to be put out to help me or even check me out with my over $ 400 purchase.

This store is amazing! Not only is their stock great for outdoors anything but they also hold a free yoga class every Sunday morning from 9 – 10! So awesome!

I mean HUGE. But no matter how gigantic any retail apparel store is, they’ll never have the one size of whatever you decide you want to try on at-that-moment. Shopping IRL sucks now. Totally pointless and a waste of time/effort. Yet, I still want everything.

My bf and I have frequented this Patagonia store several times over the past year ever since being introduced to their environmentally friendly, well-made, and stylish cold weather gear! Location: The store is located diagonally across REI, which makes it easy to visit both stores without having to get lost wandering around Santa Monica. There are plenty of parking structures around the area, and I believe the first 90 minutes free. For those without a car, the Big Blue Bus also stops by the Third Street Promenade. My first impression when I walked in is that this is a beautifully designed store– the second floor has an open middle section which opens up the center of the first floor to a high ceiling. The wood gives it a rustic and aesthetically pleasing look, and the whole store is decorated with various Patagonia books, movies, and other small products. Moreover, there are a couple TV and couch corners for those who want to relax while their group is shopping. There is even a fancy coffee machine available for use, and after asking the staff, they were happy to help out(and had soy milk and sugar to boot). This is the only Patagonia in the U.S. that I have been, but I was impressed with the size of the store and the selection. Nearly everything I saw on their website, from swim wear to duffles and a wide variety of clothing, were all available at their store. Purchases: After much research, I bought my Tribune capris(color green) here, and despite the high price rage, I have no regrets. I wore them frequently during a trip to Asia and they were fantastic for travel, quick drying, and had lots of pockets for your passport, money, subway map, etc. Arguably the best part is that they work in hot and cold weather. My bf bought his Quandry shorts here(after previously purchasing Quandry pants and loving them), and the customer service was exceptional. He was inquiring about whether they would shrink in the dryer, and the sales attendant said they shouldn’t, but if they did shrink he could bring them back and get a new pair for free. How can you beat that customer service?! Great company and will definitely be purchasing from them again soon.

Great store! We once had to do an exchange. No hassle. No attitude. Super helpful and competent staff. Bennett went above and beyond by calling a store in Atlanta to get the pants we wanted. TK is also always nice whenever we r in there looking for stuff. This is my go to store.

How did I not review this store yet? We make a pretty regular stop here since it’s close by. Sometimes to drop off styrofoam(a guy uses it to make surfboards), and more often then not to look at everything, and practice restraint. It’s very easy to want to grab some of everything here, but since their gear is well made, you don’t end up needing to buy too often.

I’m obsessed with Patagonia! Literally the majority of my casual clothes are made by them. T-shirts last forever and don’t fade or crack as quickly as others, shorts are super comfortable, jackets last forever and never fail you, capilene clothing is great as a base layer for skiing or cold weather conditions, and board shorts are some of the best on the market(and come in a variety of lengths). Having lived in Santa Barbara for nearly a decade, the Ventura«Iron Works» store(company headquarters) was my go-to for years. Having said that, this store is great and nearly as good as the store in Ventura. This Santa Monica store is two stories, which means they carry nearly everything you could order online or through the catalog(of course they may not have the size or color you want but neither did the Ventura store). The store is clean and bright with tons of natural light. Employees are always friendly. They even have free organic espresso and tea in a sitting area. This store carries hand planes from local shapers used for body surfing as well as FC surfboards(made by Fletcher, son of the founder of Patagonia). Honestly, it’s hard to fault this store for anything and the clothes are GREAT! I’ve been to other stores in Boulder, SF, NYC, etc. and this is the best I’ve been to with respect to size and selection outside of the Ventura store.

Wanted to thank Gil publicly for talking me out of a medium west suit and recommending the small. Had it out in the water a handful of times and it fits perfect. Excellent custom service from him and the rest of the employees at this store. They called around and found my size and Patagonia shipped it to my house for free. On top of the 40% off sale, this was a deal of a lifetime. I have an one of their original wetsuits and it’s still going strong after 6 years.

This place gets three stars only because it’s Patagonia and I have been a fan of the company for over thirty years. If not for that, I might give it 1 ½. First, the selection is not great compared to other Patagonia stores I’ve been in. Parking is horrible and you’ve got to pay just to shop. Of the Patagonia stores I’ve visited this is by far my least favorite. I make a special trip to go to Ventura when I’m in the area. The Portland and Seattle stores are awesome. Whenever I’m in Tahoe, I take a special trip down to Reno to hit the outlet store there. Honestly, I don’t think I’d walk down the street from REI to come here. And it’s not just the selection. The service is lagging. First, there was a dude on the phone for over five minutes at the front counter with no one else stepping up to offer any help. Then, my son asked if he could exchange some flip flops that busted about the third time he wore them and the girl at the counter just replied, «We don’t make those anymore». No offer to exchange for something else. No refund. No Ironclad Guarantee™. I said let me go talk to them but he was frustrated by the initial lack of service he said just forget it. I told them I’d just send them back because Patagonia mail order always gives me killer service. If you’re in Santa Monica I guess you could drop in but if the store is a disappointment don’t let that dissuade you from visiting other Patagonia stores. I think it’s just this one.

While I’ve never bought anything from Patagonia myself, my boyfriend is obsessed with all things Patagonia and always drags me in here. This location is pretty big and well laid out, and they have a good selection. The employees are always nice and helpful. AND last but not least… they have a little lounge area with an espresso maker!!! WIN! Thank you Patagonia!!! Now all the girly shops I drag my boyfriend into should take note! ;)

This location actually opens at 10 am weekdays, so this listing is incorrect. Wasted a bit of my time… Otherwise it’s a great store.

There were a few employees running around, but not as many as the previous santa monica store. The store also doesn’t seem as large as the other store. I gave this store 2 stars because they actually carry a limited selection of Patagonia styles. They seem to have a lot of better sweater styles and some of the season’s «new additions». But, I came here looking for a synchilla vest, and they didn’t have it. Even the synchilla snap Tatrhey had only came in a few colors(about 3 compared to the 5 – 7 available online). This just doesn’t make sense to me. Why would the only Patagonia in LA for several miles not carry more styles? It is just making its customers resort to online purchasing. Or even worse, not purchasing at all because customers actually want to physically try products in person before purchase. To be fair, the employee did say we get free shipping on any order over $ 79 or something(which is basically just under the cost of 1 of certain items at Patagonia) he also said he could give us a coupon for free shipping if we ordered in store. But seriously, get more styles and varieties in this store – especially the ones that are staples and appear online in the catalog every year(albeit with slightly different color choices). It was a ghost town in here during the holiday weekend, and now i know why.

Very large location! I went in looking for backpacks and there were many people working. Highly recommend! Womens on the top floor, mens and accessories on the bottom floor. Yay Patagonia!
