It’s McDonald’s and it’s fast food so you know the quality and taste of food you’re going to get. The woman that took my order was prompt and knowledgeable of her job but lacked customer service skills. My order seem to be ready right after I paid which makes me question the validity of we don’t make it until you order it. Also the three cookies I ordered felt like they had been sitting for two days and simply kept warm. They sure as heck were not fresh. As I sat and ate my food I overheard the woman who took my order complaining about working conditions and employee Morel there between employees. Apparently many employees are not getting along with each other, not that I care because it’s none of my business but I would prefer not to hear those conversations while trying to peacefully enjoy my meal. I thought to myself it is McDonald’s so I shouldn’t expect anything better than that. Long live the Big Mac and Monopoly game!

This McDonalds is very busy at all times, But I can say they’re fast. The customer service however, is always horrible. Usually when I go, there is an older African American lady who ALWAYS has a bad attitude when people order. She does not smile, She does not make eye contact and she seems to hate life(which could very well be the case), But there’s no need for attitude or rudeness. Unfortunately none of the other employees seem to be any better. McDonalds is usually a cheap alternative for me since everything else in the promenade is so expensive, but I think is time to spend an extra few bucks for better service.

They are more prone to cocking up orders than making sure they heard you right. Had this happen many times and am not pleased. Absolute rubbish.

I actually don’t feel neither good nor bad about this McDonalds that I visited at the 3rd Street Promenade today. It has really improved for the better throughout the years not sure if it’s just because I decided to go on a Wednesday night around 6:30 p.m. Or what but it was very calm and quiet, not a whole lot of homeless people around as usual and the food was great, tge service was just really fast and the food was fresh and piping hot just like I liked it and I left being a very satisfied customer«I’m loving it»!!

Courtney has an attitude as if I was there for free food paid for by her. The way you speak to people is everything in service industry. By looking at the previous reviews it doesn’t seem like Mac Donalds cares to listen. Your employee at the front counter was horrible she needs to be retrained or fired.

One of the better McDonalds in SM. They get the order right about 95% of the time. Unlike the other locations in SM they don’t have seating inside this little place. Outside seating along with upper and lower level inside seating are included. When they get really busy(most of the time) the line gets packed inside along with a line out to the seating area. And often when people order they hog up the whole doorway so people getting their food can’t leave or people can’t get their food. Another problem is that lots of homeless sit there and on busy days they don’t move.

It’s like every other McDonald’s you’ve ever been to, only the D-listers are always on staff and do not give a fuck what you just said. «So that’s a… did you say large coke? A what? A pie? Uh… burger?» Really, just pay attention. And get the order right after I repeat it 12 times. There’s nothing«fast» about this fast food if I have to come back to get you to fix my order. There’s a stupid system with the lines since the set-up is frustrating; there’s always a lot of confusion about where to line up to wait for your food versus where you’re ordering. The establishment is WAY too small for how busy it gets and the workers are less than friendly when it comes to directing customers this way or that. If you’re in the mood to be cheap and get greasy, recognizable fast food, this is the place to go. Otherwise, there’s tons of options on the promenade… so if you’re feeling even SLIGHTLY adventurous and you’re not on a 30-minute lunch break, go somewhere else.

TERRIBLE customer service! They act like they’re doing you a favor selling their food. No smile, no acknoledgement that you’re going there every day ordering the same thing. I’m in customer service, acknowledging a returning customer isn’t hard. 50% of the time they forget the syrup in my iced coffee. The WORST McD’s I have ever been to. They should be embarrassed by their level of service, or lack thereof…

Oh god, why i did go in there again! I gave them another chance, but Its getting worst ! the Front staff, NOT even smiling, was talking to a coworker about some stuff, took my order in few sec, and wasn’t seem interested in having my there! I am ashamed to put that tinny fried chicken, with that quality in front of customer they are very brave to do that! Yes! it was just a bun! and a chicken and 2 pice of pickles ! that was my Southern Style Chicken Sandwich ! there are more words than the ingredients inside the sandwich ! US MacDonald’s Sucks!(from what i See!)

I was overcharged two dollars. I brought the matter to the manager. He would not correct it. Also, the decaf coffee tasted like dishwater. I did not drink it. McDonalds Head Quarters should inspect the coffee being used. I doubt it is coffee.

The workers here seem more stressed than me at my new job! How is that possible? Even during lunch rush, no one was in line for McDonald’s. I walked straight up to the cashier and she took my order so hastily. Didn’t even give me time to say I wanted sweet tea before saying what my total was. The last thing I need is to be rushed for food, my most favorite time of the day! Calm down, you guys aren’t as busy as you think. On a more star giving note, my chicken nuggets were hot off wherever it came from! The overall venue is great. It’s in a food court so lots of choices if you’re coming with a lot of people, especially where everyone has different preferences. Tables downstairs, upstairs, indoor and out.

Much to our surprise, their chocolate cookies were very satisfying and delicious. 3/$ 1! What a deal and they are served warm. Yummmm!

Due to a series of unforeseen expenses this month, I am poor. Like digging-change-out-of-my-Louis-Vuitton-purse-to-pay-for-dinner poor. Very, very poor. I went here for a very sad dinner the other night, which I got to go. I grabbed my food, peeked inside for a quick check, and ran off to my secret eating place(where I can scarf down McDonalds in solitude, without the 3rd St hubub/transients.) When I got to said super-secret eating spot, I realized they not only gave me the wrong food, they also charged me for the wrong thing!!! What the eff. She read the order back to me and it was correct, yet she somehow rung me up for something completely different. So, not only did I not get what I wanted, I also paid 20 cents more than I should have. Which sucks, because as stated earlier, I am poor.

Walked right in, through the crowds, straight up to the counter, asked my question, got my answer, got my product. I was ALL smiles at this location. Very small, and almost easy to miss, but luckily they have the bottom unit right in front. The employees here the day I went understood me and served me well. Its an interesting location, in an interesting area, so there are tourists, transients, and trannies alike. This place is all good.

This place is jammed all the time and very disorganized. Try the one at 15402nd street — near the beach … just a short walk and a much better experience. I try to remember that if I have the urge to get an ice cream cone or sugar free vanilla iced coffee. There are 2 lines and people get confused. One line is for ordering(on the right); the other is for pickup(on the left). They really need to post a big sign. Given what this is, a McDonald’s — it is a great location and offers high value. Just order the healthier fare. If I’m gonna get something that ain’t so good for me, I actually eat ½. I have gone for breakfast when I craved a pancake and it really wasn’t ½ bad, but I prefer to get to Denny’s or Norm’s on Lincoln about a mile away for their $ 3.99 special, which of course is much better. Their coffees are really good, which is surprising. I particularly like the sugar free vanilla iced — for like $ 2 that is amazing! And the chocolate dipped cone is under $ 2 which is also amazing. It’s nice that 3rd St. in Santa Monica lets this place even be here, given that the area has been taken over by such snooty people. I do miss the Burger King that used to be in the mall across the street. Check out the value menu for the best deals. The food is often comparable and more affordable than that which is on the main menu.

Speaking of McDonald’s…I HATE this one. I can’t ever even pay attention to the food because I am too busy being DISGUSTED by all the freaking hobos! Cheapest food place at the promenade, so of course the hobos come here. I’m serious, you can’t open your bag of food without catching a disgusting whiff of hobo-stank. Ugh, I hate it. Your meal comes with a hobo, swear. You CANNOT eat here without a hobo you are smelling, or have to be viewing(unless you just look down like me). I never even eat anywhere around this McDonald’s because I cannot stand the freaking hobos! UgH! I can smell the stink again. My hate for this location is undying. They are fast though, I do remember that. fast as hell

This is the worst Mcdonald’s I ever came across. Horrible location. This McD’s does not offer seats so you have to grab your food and go. If you really do want to sit you can sit outside, but the seats are almost always occupied. I’m not sure if you’d even want to sit outside since it’s chaos out on the streets(esp on weekends) and do not expect to have a peaceful time. Also there is no restroom here. If you really want to use the restroom, go one floor up(there is an escalator) and there are public restrooms available but you have to PAY and it’s really shady upstairs. Not cool. Did you know Mcdonald’s requires at least 12 different chemicals to achieve that green color for their leaves and to maintain that crispiness? Everything is super contaminated obviously. Well everyone knows but they still eat here anyway. Even if your hamburger contained urine, who cares as long as it tastes good, right. Who cares about anything, People want food NOW! yikes. Don’t forget this is in Santa Monica(Third Street Promenade) so… it can be very shady. I had bad experiences. Yikes… Becareful.

It is McDonald’s after all, so you can’t expect much. I was walking on the Promenade with my kid today and she suddenly proclaimed she was hungry. Since we were walking right by MCD, I asked her if she wanted some. She said, sure, ok. Got her a kid’s happy meal with 4 pc chicken nuggets, apple dippers and a chocolate milk. Got myself a McChicken and small fries. $ 6.59 total. The order was ready in a flash. They only gave us 1 sweet n sour dip, so I had to ask for another one. Come on, why so cheap on the sauce? And 2 napkins? Sheeesh. We left and went to eat by the dinosaurs. She discovers that she doesnt have any chocolate milk. GRRR. WTF. So, we head back and ask for the milk. At least the lady(not the one who packed it) was nice enough to give it to us. I hate when people don’t pay attention. How hard is it to get a simple order right? Head back to the dinosaurs and eat our lunch. Oh. guess what? There was no toy in her«happy» meal either. LAME. Once again, pay attention. Haste makes waste. Nope, not coming back here. Unless there was no other option and I was really, really, really famished. I guess I could always starve.
