Andy Robarge is amazing! He urged me to go lighter with my hair color and when I finally made the jump I thought, «why didn’t I listen to Andy sooner?» He has amazing vision, and he is the only stylist I would trust to do this type of change, having had dark hair most of my life. Trust me on this one: going golden blond takes 10 years off your age. Andy, what would I do without you?

Andy is amazing with color and lighting. I can with an idea of what I wanted and he had it in mind right at the second. The result was beyond what I’ve expected! My hair looks awesome. Andy is a really nice person who is truly passionate by what he does! I 100% recommend him. The salon has a great ambiance too.

Andy is awesome! He’s an expert in lightening Asian hair. I have virgin hair which is dark, fine, straight, and boring. I went in wanting to have my hair some crazy color and Andy did not disappoint. He wanted to do pixel hair color on my hair but because I never wear my hair down, we decided on just ombré. He lifted the color off my hair in one sitting. Yes. One sitting. But my hair doesn’t feel dry or damage. Now all I’m left with is this beautiful seafoam green which I’m in love with. Thank you, Andy. You’re my favorite hairstylist!

Found Andy on Unilocal and the reviews were very positive, so I gave him a call. He was wonderful and I wouldn’t give him any less than 5 stars, 6 if I could. He did a great cut, took time on the styling, and showed me the product he was using on my hair to create those beach waves, but the best part was the shampoo and scalp massage. He is so attentive to detail and takes pride in his work, that’s for sure. I was highly satisfied and I would definitely see him again and would recommend him to someone looking for a stylist.

I have been very fortunate in my life to fall into amazing things through completely dumb luck & good timing. Ten years ago, after running by the beach, I decided that I was way overdue for a haircut, and walked into the first salon that I saw. I was randomly assigned to Andy and received the best haircut of my life, and a great friend to boot.
Andy is absolutely amazing at what he does, a true master of his craft. Not only is he skilled at his profession, but he is just an amazing guy, as well. He takes his time during your appointment and always makes pleasant conversation. Over the past 10 years, I have usually rushed to my appointment from work, stressing out as I try to manage freeway traffic. As soon as I sit in Andy’s chair, my stress melts away, and we just start chatting about whatever is going on in our lives or the world. He is a great friend.
Now, obviously, a guy’s haircut is probably not the most challenging feat in a hair-stylist’s repertoire, but he cuts my hair is such a way that it grows out really well. I couldn’t be happier. I always get complements after he gives me a cut. Often times, I have come in early before my appointment and watched him do some amazing cuts and colors on his female clients. They always look like they stepped straight out of a magazine. In short, Andy is just amazingly talented stylist and fantastic person. I feel honored to call him my friend and hope to enjoy his company for years to come.
In addition to his skills with the shears, Andy is very knowledgable about local real estate and finance. He has helped educate me in many aspects of the local market. If your dream is to one day own a piece of this fabulous city, he’s a great person to talk to. He has your best interests at heart, all the way around.
While I’d like to keep Andy a secret, it’s only right that I give credit where credit is due. Andy is the BEST!

I started with Andy several years ago after relocating to the area. My hair never looked so great. He is an incredible stylist with great ideas and takes his time when cutting/​coloring/​highlighting/​keratin, etc., as well as being the most down to earth, personable stylist I have ever encountered. Highly recommend — my whole family goes to him now.

Total make-​over just happened again… Went from a weird self inflicted dirty blonde/​brown phase again to a killer blonde! Finished off with a Brazilian blowout and now I couldn’t be happier. Let the summer begin. Thanks Andy!

I have REALLY REALLY THICK FULL hair, and wanted to go lighter on my hair with some high & low lights.
I’ve seen other Latina’s go lighter (color and high/​low lights) and more times than none, its just looks awful on brown skin. It either looks orange, too un-​naturally blond or just plain crap, if not done correctly, so i was very concerned about getting the color just right.
Andy was very through in explaining what he needed to do to get the color to stick, and what color’s would look most natural with my skin and natural hair color. I liked that he told me he had been doing hair color for 20 years, so i felt at ease.
He did tell me that it was going to take a few hours (other places only take an hour but i always leave disappointed with the results) but it was O. K because I sipped on wine.
A couple hours later… OMG!
I LOVED how my hair turned out. It looked just as good as J. Lo’s hair on any given day. I was so impressed on how prefect and natural the color came out. Not too blond, not to dark. The combination of colors was beautiful
It FAR exceeded my expectations. I had so many compliments from friends & co-​workers.
It was worth EVERY penny worth the drive across town. Did i mention you get to sip on wine while you wait.

Absolutely blown away by Andy! I’m usually one to settle for mediocre cuts and just believe that I’ll «get used to it.» This is honestly the first time that I have loved my hair the moment he was done. I hadn’t gotten my hair done in at least 7 – 8 months and I was a mess, but Andy turned my hair into the exact style I was looking for. Andy was super sweet and very helpful in educating me on my hair. I really felt completely comfortable with him, even though this was my first time in the salon. He didn’t make me feel pressured to do anything I didn’t want to or spend money that I didn’t plan to. I scheduled my appointment by email with him, so I spoke with him beforehand about what I was looking for. The prices didn’t change and he remembered everything we had previously talked about. He was even really good with my name. (Not a big deal, but really nice either way.) I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone! Whether you are a frequent salon customer and looking for an extremely talented stylist or if you been putting it off for far too long and are nervous about heading in, as I was. Andy will work wonders and take care of you. :) Thank you soooooo much Andy!!!

Andy is amazing at what he does. My hair has never looked better. I have been to him twice so far and both times have been amazing.
The first time I went to Andy was for a Brazilian Blowout because my hair gets crazy frizzy all the time. I was able to call and get an appointment for the same day. Andy was very helpful in explaining the procedure and going over after care guidelines. He recommended some hair products, but never made me feel as if I was obligated to buy them. (I rather dislike going to a salon and feeling forced into purchasing expensive products)
Andy does his work at the super nice Miakel Bishay Salon. The atmosphere in this place is very calming. They even offer complimentary water, coffee and wine.
I recommend Andy to everyone.

Andy is a great hairstylist who obviously knows his way around a pair of scissors. My hair is thick and unruly; Andy never has a problem creating an awesome look.

I took all these good reviews to heart and went and saw Andy. It was a terrific experience. He gave me a package deal on trim, root color and Brazilian Blowout and he did a great job on all of them. I left feeling beautiful, relaxed and totally pampered. The salon is small but very space and technology efficient. I was placed under a machine that sucked up all the chemical fumes from the BB. Love that! I haven’t seen that in another salon but let me tell you — it was SO much better. Highly recommend.

Andy is amazing! I’ve gone to him twice now for a Brazilian Blowout, color and cut and I feel so lucky to have found him. He is amazingly talented and knowledgable. Andy is a dream stylist who will always steer you right. He will take the time to discuss all of the options that will work best for YOU in a very kind, honest and patient way. I am in love with this man!!! He is simply the best. He made my hair look incredible. He knows what works for his clients. On top of his talent for making me look even more fabulous, he has one of the best personalities that made me a repeat customer.

I was in need of a new stylist. Andy came highly recommended by two friends from work. Prior, I had tried two stylists at other salons. They gave me good cuts, not great. And, as the saying goes, third time’s the charm.
What made Andy «simply the best, better than all the rest»? Well, first off, I have crap hair. Baby fine hair. He did a do that I could re-​do and made my hair look much thicker and fuller than it truly is. Also, Andy wasn’t afraid to make major changes on the first cut. I said, «Cut it as short as you think it’ll look good for my face.» And he did! He wasn’t shy, he knew what would work, and he gave me a fabulous cut. I went to work on Monday and received rave reviews.

Last week I was searching for a good salon for my hair straightening. While searching I got to know about the Brazilian blowout stuff.
After some goggling and Unilocaling, I landed on Andy page. So I decided to have one and took the appointment after word.
Well there I met with Andy and he first look at my short hair and have explained all about the Brazilian blowout stuff that how long it will last (4– 6 weeks), precaution again swimming, bla blas.
But after spending around 90 minutes, I was surprised with the result and my hair looks great.
Thanks to Andy, I am completely satisfied with the result and wish I could get discount in the future also.

Andy has been cutting and coloring my hair for over 4 years and he is great. Very passionate about what he does and pays attention to detail as well as listens to what you tell him.

I’ve been meaning to write a review for Andy for ages and just now joined Unilocal.Andy is the only person in LA (Santa Monica) I have ever let do my hair, I found him through Unilocal and went back because he was so fantastic. I would still be going to him, but I moved :(.
Andy is great at what he does, he gave me a fantastic cut and partial highlight on my (formerly) long locks. I brought in a picture the second time he did my hair of something I was thinking of and he did a fantastic job and told me what he thought would work on me and why. He’s a blast to talk to and I was satisfied with my hair every time! I highly recommend him!
