Truck was at my son’s school event last night at Temple City. We were excited cuz there were 6 food trucks. We attended and supported the school. We ordered 2 chicken. 1 pork, and 1 garlic shrimp. The chicken was fine(it was my in-laws), my husband ordered the garlic shrimp and it was pretty good. However the pork which I ordered was VERYSALTY! It was just like eating salt with pork. Yes you heard me right! This should have been tasty pork not salt with pork. How can pork go wrong? Pork itself is normally very tasty! Anyway ate my macaroni and salad and some rice. The pork again was horrible.

My go-to«feed me I’m hella hungry» during lunch! Plus… it makes me feel like I’m back in the islands! Oh and they do give you ginormous portions and of course I inhale it like there’s no tomorrow!(I need to eat for training!) Anyway… love their beef teriyaki plate sans the macaroni salad… plus again, it’s under $ 10!

It’s okay, wouldn’t pay for it again at $ 10 a plate. Beef was a little bad and chicken was okay. Truck came to our building at PCT in El Segundo along with other trucks. People at the truck are friendly but I honestly don’t think its worth the money unless I caught them on the wrong day, meat tasted as if it was left over from the day before and was re heated. Threw out the beef.

Like! I caught this food truck outside of the Water Garden in Santa Monica. Tasty succulent kalua port with fresh leaves and tasty Mac salad. Accepts card! Expect $ 10-$ 12

So much meh. Truck seemed popular, long line, longer wait. Got the raw tuna salad, thinking it would come out faster. The fish tasted somewhat bland, the rest of the salad even more so.

Found this food truck at First Friday at Venice’s Abbot Kinney. I wasn’t really sure which truck I wanted for dinner, but after trying their free samples, I was sold! I ordered the chicken katsu plate, and it came with a side salad and macaroni salad too. The katsu was perfectly crispy, and the sauce not just a generic side sauce. It was very flavorful with just the tiniest hint of spice. What surprised me was that the greens, rice, and macaroni were all fantastic too! Since they were just sides, I wasn’t expecting much, but they definitely contributed a lot to the meal. For $ 9, the order filled me up and all the portions were just right. I’m always happy to support a family owned business, especially one with good and reasonably priced food. 5 stars– check them out!

Got the kahlua pork which was just a bunch of flavorless shredded pork and smelled funny. Didnt look like the picture at all. Havent tried the other items but im just pointing out their deceptive advertising…

Just tried them for the first time… It was the worst Teriyaki Chicken I have ever had. The chicken was terrible quality, poorly cooked, and tasted horrible. I could not even eat it. $ 9 wasted.

I ordered the shrimp plate($ 10). When I picked it up, it smelled a little off, but I thought this may be normal with seafood. I took a bite in and the shrimp I was served was definitely spoiled. I spit it out immediately and threw the plate away. It was absolutely foul. I am now in line at mrs Winston’s for a salad. The only reason for the second star is that I have ordered the chicken katsu from the truck in the past, and it is okay. The katsu sauce however is basically BBQ Sauce and not authentic.

I love coming to this block for lunch. The food trucks are always plentiful and my go-to for Hawaiian lunch is Aloha. Their menu is pretty straight forward so when I’m feeling indecisive I’m glad I’m eating here. I usually opt for the cabbage and pork. The pork is so flavorful and the cabbage is a nice touch. Brought it back to the office and loaded it with siracha — delicious! Worth the food coma.

DONOT order the poke here. I was pretty excited to find out about a Hawaiian food truck just a short walk from my work. However, my experience was rather disappointing. I ordered the large poke plate for $ 11($ 1 discount for paying in cash, which is nice). Their truck has a large glass window facing the customers so you can watch them make your food — that’s pretty cool. What’s not cool is what I witnessed while they were making my lunch. The cook pulled out a somewhat pale piece of Ahi tuna and proceeded to slice it(along with a fresh onion) and throw it into a bowl to mix around. Yikes, I think they missed the important step of marinating. Although i guess it marinated a bit on the 5 min walk back to the office. The final product was something I can only describe as tuna chunks lightly seasoned with stale soy sauce and red pepper flakes on top of mixed greens(seaweed? green onion? sesame?). The onion slices were also very raw so I picked them out. The only good thing was the rice which was well prepared. Other than that, I would not recommend this place based on my visit. However, I’m willing to go back and give their other plate lunches a try since some looked pretty good — just not their«poke».

They have really delicious food. The chicken is always very tender and portions are well worth the money. This truck definitely my favorite at the Pennsylvania Avenue in Santa Monica.

3.5 stars — Love that today they have 2 spam rice balls for $ 3. This vendor is semi popular with a short line whereas the An Viet Truck has the longest line today. I like that the truck is very transparent so you can watch people cook your food. My meal was pretty good! I got the loco moco and would def get it again! It came with tons of rice, a small salad, macaroni salad, 2 beef patties, 2 eggs, and gravy! I am gonna save some for later! I’ve really only eaten at Rutt’s, King’s, L & L, and in Hawaii so I am not the best judge. I did hear they raised their prices slightly and are under new mgmt, but not for the better. As a first timer, it was good/fine!
