Outstanding service — Steven will walk you through the entire gallery, sharing terrific details about each artist and piece, patiently answering your questions, etc. Erika is also friendly and helpful. They have a superb sampling of contemporary art by up and comers — no western motifs here, but there are plenty of places in Santa Fe to find those.

In a sea of southwestern sunsets, and gaudy turquoise jewelry, Turner Carroll is a refreshing reprieve, offering spunky, contemporary pieces. Every time I go in there, I’m blown away by the edgy artists they’ve managed to dig up. My current favorites on display are pieces by Deborah Oropallo. They are historical prints, mostly from the De Young collection, with provocative images overlaid on top of them. If you have a chance, you must stop by to visit, you’ve never seen anything like them!
