After tacos moreno closed down we all hoped for a good taco place that would replace it. However Vivas is a disappointment. Expensive and tasteless. I ordered a bowl where you can customize what kind of meat, rice, beans and whatever else you want. Kinda like chipotle in a way. Their Spanish rice is whatever and their marinated chicken is bland. All of their seasoning is stuck to the outside and when you bite into it there’s no flavor what so ever. I know they’re trying to be organic and healthy but it’s not what you would expect for a Mexican restaurant. Wish they bring back tacos Moreno. They knew how to do Mexican food right and at a cheaper price.

The staff is extremely nice, the food is good but a bit expensive for my taste. They have good proportions and 3 times of hot sauces to choose from so that’s always a plus. Also I heard they may be implementing taco Tuesday soon… Can’t wait for that!

This place is great. Their burritos are always great and the prices are very reasonable. The time it takes to order and then get my food is about 10 minutes on average, usually the speed depending on how crowded the restaurant is. Overall I am very happy with this Mexican restaurant on campus. It has good food for a good price, and in college that’s all that really matters.

I’m glad there’s now a new selection of food on campus. The food is advertised as healthy and organic, and it was ok for an on dining. I do believe they give their food a bit lore flavor, but overall the food was satisfying. We got the taco plate that comes with two tacos, rice, and beans($ 9) and also a steak torta($ 7), which had avocado, cheese, lettuce and tomato. Pretty busy during lunch time so expect to wait if you go around that time.

Disappointing. After Tacos Moreno closed on campus, we’ve been wanting a good taco place up here. We heard about Viva’s coming and have heard mixed reviews about their other shop. We gave it a try, 4 of us from work walked over for lunch. Disappointing. I’m not vegan, so that isn’t a draw for me. I had carnitas, and it was pretty tasteless. The prices are a little higher than I’d expect. Not sure why organic/healthy seems to be translated into«limp and tasteless». Had to use quite a bit of salsa to add some flavor. One of the group had to get some salt from the kitchen to add some taste. Maybe it was just an off day, but all 4 of us were unimpressed. Wish they’d bring back Tacos Moreno. They knew how to do good Mexican food.

So stoked to have a Mexican place right outside of my dorm! They offer a variety of vegan options which is awesome and their burritos are heavenly.
