South Beach Pizza

ZERO STAR if possible. WORST SERVICE EVEEEERRRR!!! This place is meant for you if you want to stand at the door for 20 minutes, then have a rude hostess/​waiter seat you, and not be served and having to walk out of a restaurant hungry. I tried to wave down a waitress and she screamed out «we’ll be with you in a moment» from across the restaurant.
«In a moment»??? I wish I got your name because screw you lady! We’ve been waiting for our server for 15 minutes after getting seat and having to wait at the door for 20 minutes! Please tell me how the people who got seated a little after us had their drinks brought to them before us?!
Management, how are you still in business?! Please retrain your associates because they’ll drive all your customers away! No wonder why you guys have horrible reviews.

I can’t review the food because they never served us.
We wanted to grab 2 18″ pizza’s but were told they were not accepting to-​go orders because there were only 2 people working in the back and they had to prioritize the eating in people.
1 star for having us stand around, telling us they will be right us to take our order and coming back with «we are sorry, we are no longer taking any to-​go orders».
How do you say if you want to eat in, we will serve you — else no.
Bad service — 1 star

We were ignored for approximately 20 minutes with 8 open tables. Servers actively looked past us and pushed us aside as they walked by. Avoid the poor service and go a bit further out or just give in and eat on the boardwalk.

I just left this place… We first walked in to have pizza. Stood at the hostess booth for a few minutes without being acknowledged and looked around at 80% of the tables which were dirty. The other 20% occupied so nowhere to sit. Looked around and noticed staff in chaos so we decided to walk down the street and have dinner elsewhere. On our way back to the hotel decided to have ice cream. Didn’t realize the ice cream place was attached to the pizza place we previously left. Went in anyway. Disgusting. Everything looked dirty and smelled dirty. Had to pay for the ice cream at the bar and could smell the rotten smell of old grease. Walked down the street and began to eat the ice cream and realized it was slimy and not right. Threw away the ice cream and brushed my teeth as soon as I got to the hotel. Gross!

Went here for a late night meal tonight and had a great experience. Service was great and the server was very friendly. The clam chowder is good, they have won an award with their recipe. It was good, but not earth shattering. Pizza was very good as was the bruschetta. Food came out quickly.
We showed up at just past 10pm on a Sunday and did not feel like we were putting them out by being so late. They did not rush us and treated us very well!

Best thing we ordered was the garlic bread. The pesto pizzas weren’t good. Service was a bit slow considering that it wasn’t crowded at all. They have a lot of TVs though and beers on draft.

I liked it. Cool atmosphere to chill and hang out. Eat good pizza and have a couple of beers. Don’t expect much, just bring people you can have a good time with. Pizza here is really good. Didn’t try anything else though.

I feel a little bad doing this because I didn’t actually eat here, but not too bad. The reason why I didn’t eat here is the reason this place gets 1 star from me. My husband and I walked in and were handed menus and told to sit anywhere. One look at my menu and I lost my appetite. The menus were covered in black mold! Now, I know I’m not eating the menus but if an establishment can’t even take the time to make sure their menus aren’t gross, what is going on in their kitchen? I didn’t wait for the chance to find out.
Once outside, we ran into a couple who told us the food isn’t that great anyway so we weren’t missing out. I am writing this as a plea to the owner — please get new menus. I was extremely grossed out!

My first impression of this place is pretty poor. The service was pretty bad with rude waitresses and to top that off, my chicken tenders that I ordered was burnt. How do you mess up chicken tenders?

Why is this place still in business? By far the WORST dinning experience I have every had. I went during the week and it was not very busy. There were 4 of us and 3 of us got drinks. After 30 min the server came back to let us know they didn’t have the drink that one of us ordered. My friend ordered 3 different drinks and ended up with 0 (I even had to give her my water). The server finally said she wasn’t getting a drink because her and the bar tender had problems.
They literally called each other names. What kind of customer service is that?
We asked to speak to the owner. When he finally arrived — at least 20 min after the fact he said he would give us a «discount». What we wanted was an acknowledgment of having been at the restaurant for over an hour, not receive the drinks ordered and having had to listen to two employees call each other names.
He gave us $ 5 off. Wow thanks.

Not sure why this place has such a low rating. We are really critical of pizza and this was very good! We had wings, smothered fries and salads too and all were delicious. The service was excellent, really friendly and accommodating as they sat 12 of us on a Friday night one of which was an entire kids table.

Great location, thats about it. Came on a Sunday at 3:30pm, ordered their «award winning» clam chowder. They ran out. Ordered 2 «slices» of pizza which is on the menu. Apparently they werent busy enough to make slices, although the restaurant had only 1 empty table. So now we are forced to order a whole pizza. Classic bait and switch. Now order a salad which has mozzarella on it. Yep, you guessed it, out of cheese so cant order that salad. Soda machine broken. Etc…
Pizza is ok. Wings were good.
Service was ok, server was very nice but slow. Thats about the only good part of the experience. This is the 2^nd time we have come and had this experience. Will also be the last.

Really good pizza for being on the main drag. Reasonable prices and pretty good service. Had 2 kids that devoured everything. Walking from hotel to here then bowling was easy

We sat ourselves and grabbed our own menus because no one was attending us. I seen a guy going back and forth being attentive to the group sitting in the patio area but every one else was chopping it up by the register.
My water had NO ICE on this very hot day and I didn’t feel no AC or fan, bummer.
The pizza came out thin as ever but with some flavor. Maybe I didn’t wait for it to cool down enough, but as soon as I picked up a slice it totally came apart (I’ve attached a picture of it).
My boyfriend had to get up and get someone’s attention for a fork because it was the only way to eat our food.
The lady came by once towards the end and got a refill of soda for the BF. My water tasted disgusting at this point because they gave us these paper/​wax cups, so I was just drinking my BF cold coke.
12 $ for a 12inch pep pizza and additional toppings $ 1.25.
Cup of fountain soda $ 2
I guess it’s cheap for being at the around boardwalk but I’ll spend my money on a gyro at the gyro stand at the boardwalk.

The worse service I have had in a long time! The waitress do no even check on you and wait 60 min to tell you your pizza had some problems and if we want to wait for a new one. An they all look like they partied all night an then came to work.

Read Loris review and that’s about it. You will wait an hour for the worst pizza you ever had. If there was competition based on worst pizzas i California this place would take the first prize.
Do your self a favour and go and eat somewhere else.

Horrible! Avoid. The food is not great and the staff is super rude.
The food takes one hour and when you ask whats taking so long you get .10 more mins!

I actually hate this restaurant. The service was insultingly slow. Based on all the reviews here, I’m sure they are aware but don’t care.
We ordered an appetizer (caprese salad) and a pizza. The appetizer took 20 mins to come out and it was not great.
They only started cooking the pizza 30 mins after we had ordered (it was clear because the waitress came to us at that point and said they ran out of some topping, asking what alternative topping we wanted).
After an hour of waiting for the pizza, we decided to leave.
I almost wanted to tell everyone who was coming in to go somewhere else, it was that bad. It was just my boyfriend and I, we were not in a big group or anything, and the restaurant wasn’t that busy (there were empty tables).
It’s in a prime tourist location, so most people who are coming in are probably going for the first time, which is how they can get away with having such bad service.

This place is no good. My family and I went their because we thought it was going to be great but it took forever to get our food and they serve our drinks in to go cups. I told the guy why he gave us our drinks like that and he said they didn’t have clean glasses and he also said if we wanted him to put our drinks in the clean glasses when they are clean but my husband said forget it. That’s not all the pizza was burn around the crust the cook just took it off and also the bottom of the pizza was also burn we were disappointed we never had bad service or bad food when we go to the beach. I recommend you guys not to go to that restaurant go somewhere else.

After relaxing at the beach for a while with my partner, we decided to go for pizza. We stopped by this place and decided to eat near the bar.
The atmosphere was very laid back, along with some Simon & Garfunkel playing in the background; I enjoyed it. However, when I ordered my pizza and my partner ordered a burger, it changed the experience.
It wasn’t that great; the pizza was a little bland, the salad I ordered looked old, and some of the leaves were pretty bruised.
If you’re wanting to have a fun, exciting Santa Cruz experience, this place may not be it.
