Upon entering you’re surrounded by a bunch of decorations that you automatically want to buy. They are so detailed and beautiful but not enough to convince me to drop between $ 80-$ 100 for lanterns. Cool to browse but I’m a broke college student lol

Walk into the Om Gallery and have yourself a little piece of India. A vast garden of colorful lotus lanterns bloom above your head, sacred mantras and hindu Gods surround you, flowing fountains, hand hewn furniture, wall art waiting for its special place in your heart and your home. I just want to plop myself down in a full lotus and chant the Maha Myrityunjaya. Enter Om Gallery and find your personal journey into stillness.

Beautiful, colorful and relaxing vibe in the store makes you want to wander all around and see every knock and cranny. I was looking for a specific art piece a friend wanted about a year ago, and they no longer had any but the staff went out of their way and searched for the artist contact information for me! I ended up connecting with the artist and finding what I was seeking! While the customer service ladies helped me, my 3 friends wandered the store & found quite a few items they purchased-extraordinary great help and a win/win! Jalene, you rock & your help and persistence is not only a success but sincerely appreciated! Taylor, thanks for helping my friends on a fun Saturday night shopping trip! Go see beautiful home accent art here! You won’t be disappointed.

I LOVETHISPLACE! I have ordered a couple lamps for myself and even ordered one for a friend in Australia. Christopher waited for the electrical adapter and sent it with the lamp. My friend loves it! I ordered 2 more as Christmas gifts. I live pretty close I am going to have to go to the actual store!

I was just walking by in downtown Santa Cruz and was intrigued by this store. I usually don’t go to stores like these, but there were some things that made me want to go in and look around. I was greeted by a friendly staff right away which made it welcoming for me to look around and ask questions. There were so many decorations that I wanted to buy but it wasn’t good enough for me to spend THAT much on something. That’s my summation of this store: you don’t need anything here but their decorations will definitely boost your home’s appeal. There was this journal that I wanted to get but it was around $ 50. Maybe if I’m still interested in it when I come back here I’d get it. Definitely check this place out if you’re around the area!

Would like to shop here but I won’t be a customer because the store entrance has the Om symbol on the floor in the doorway where every person entering or leaving steps on the Om. For those who don’t know, this symbol is one of the holiest in the Hindu religion and to touch it with ones feet is blasphemous. Look, I am no religion zealot, and the store has a constitutional right to this, but it seems crass and utterly insensitive to purposely insult an entire religion just for décor and/or marketing. There is no principle, no unique artistic expression and no mind-blowing communiqué here. This is just décor designed to insult a religion willfully or out of ignorance(can’t tell). They could just as easily put it on a wall without losing any artistic impact. I hope the store relocates the Om symbol.

It’s all about the ZEN. The place is, of course, just another Import store, and it’s very lovely. The visuals are great, especially the huge icon face near the front. And the lotus lamps that hang from the ceiling. There’s a certain sense of calm that it instills.

I just stood around for 15 min at the counter while a VERY young man said I had to wait for his mom to finish chatting before she could answer my question. I wanted to order a large art print, but standing there for 15 min listing to this woman just chat had me feeling like«why am I going to this much trouble to be ignored»

This is an impeccably decorated store with very beautiful items. However, be aware that most of these items have been mass produced to create the illusion of spirituality, «new age» or Buddhist philosophies. There’s no heart here in this store, but it sure looks nice.

I simply don’t understand the appeal here. Lots of the same styled lotus styled imports for a lot more than you might pay elsewhere. The trend is so last yoga stretch, meditate on that Grasshopper.

This is one of my favorite stores in the Cruz. It has such a Zen feeling to it. This store is filled with unique lamps that add a lot of ambiance to your home. I love the Buddha statutes and home decorations. The people who work there are always super attentive and are very friendly. This is definitely a place to shop in the heart of downtown Santa Cruz!

This is one of those stores where I think to myself«how do they stay open?» Not because their products are bad or that they have rude staff, but because of their prices. This isn’t somewhere I would shop for home décor, but then again, I’m a broke college student… so…well, yeah that sums it up. Generally, their store is empty also, so that just adds more wonder to my question. From the streets their lanterns/lights will draw you in because they’re calming in a romantic way and they’re very colorful. They have multiple sizes and colors to choose from, so feel free to buy one of everything. I’d certainly love to fill my house with them but they’re not cheap – I want to say their smaller lamps are around 50 dollars and goes up to 100+ dollars? I can’t remember because I must have passed out when the staff member told me. The staff members are very attentive and try to get you to purchase something – in a way where I feel like they’re working off commission, but I don’t want to sound rude about it because I don’t really know how their store operates. They almost had my friend purchase this fabric picture frame for 35 dollars! THIRTYFIVEDOLLARS! I talked her out of it and she quickly agreed, the death daggers coming from the worker at the counter should have killed me, but here I am, giving reviews on Unilocal. Anyways, yes the OM gallery is nice, but not 4 or 5 stars nice.

I love Om Gallery. There is so much cool stuff here, I want two of everything! In every color! The lamps are beautiful, as are the wall art and jewelry. Sometimes there are interesting pieces of imported furniture available, and at my last visit I saw travel candles and mini tins that would be perfect for holiday gifting. Now there is a location over the hill in Campbell, too!

Absolutely love the store. The beautiful lights, the calming décor and the ethereal feel of the store is excellent. The customer service was great .But all that was extremely overshadowed by the symbol on the tile in the store is a extremely important symbol in Hinduism and I personally was extremely offended by the placement in the was a bit shocking to me to see everyone entering stomping on the symbol we were brought up respecting and praying to. Barring that the store was beautiful .A few more details here

Stopped here this past Saturday and they were having 20(or was it 25% off) merchandise to celebrate small business day. With or without the discount, their colorful unique lamps are well worth the investment. I’m not in the market to redecorate right now, but when I am, I will definitely come back here for their assortment of lotus shaped lamps and other home delights. They have a cute and well priced selection of lotus tea light holders with accompanying stands that would make fun accents to any smaller space as well as larger panel art that would go nicely in my 3 story beach house dream home. After a full year or more between my trips to Santa Cruz, this was the one shop I remembered and couldn’t wait to visit again. Nice staff and laid out very nicely-it definitely entices you to come in and browse. Hope to someday purchase a brand shining new lamp from here!
