Bruce Block, MD

Dr. Block has been our pediatrician for close to 10 years now. When I first met him, my 5 day old son was in the NICU, and Dr. Block worked with us to develop a plan to get our baby home as soon as possible. Now, we have three children, and he has been there with us every step of the way. He is kind, knowledgeable, personable, funny, and very attentive. Even though he is a popular pediatrician, and therefore sometimes difficult to book an appointment with, he has always made himself available to us when needed. I trust him completely with our three children, and feel like he completely respects my husband & I as parents. He listens to me, and he listens to my children. We are so thankful to have such a wonderful doctor in charge of our children’s medical care!

Dr Block has been our pediatrician for the last 10 years starting with our Daughter Audrey being born at Sutter Hospital (Great hospital by the way!). We’ve had 3 more kids since then all home births. We used a midwife and Doula for that, which I did a 5 star review for them. Dr Block came by within a day of the births at home to do a well baby check up! How nice is that? He didn’t have to do that and in this day and age we found the experience incredibly refreshing.
Another thing, my wife is more questioning when it comes to the medical services our kids received, vaccinations received etc, and any time she approached doctor Block he was courteous and listened to her research. While he didn’t agree with everything my wife thought, he was certainly never condescending. We need more Doctors like Dr Bruce Block!

Our 4 month old son has been with Dr. Block since he was 6 days old. He listens to all of our concerns and I never feel rushed at his office. He has a very no-​nonsense/​common sense approach to our son’s care and has helped calm my first-​time-​mommy fears. My husband and I feel very fortunate to have such a caring and knowledgeable pediatrician for our son. I was referred to him by several friends and I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants the best care for their child.

We love Dr. Block. We moved to Los Angeles and had to depart his office and I have to say it was with great sadness. My daughter just loved him and wasn’t threatened or scared of him. He has a very gentle voice and demeanor and she was truly comfortable with him. I wish I could have brought him with us on our move!!!

Dr. Block is a dedicated, caring professional. My daughter has been seeing him for 8 years through everything from bacterial pneumonia to annual physicals. He is a skilled professional I would recommend to anyone.

Dr. Block is a wonderful doctor.
I have three boys and Dr. Block has seen all three of them for the last 4 years. When I have had other doctors ignore me he listened to my concerns and was proactive in helping to identify the source of the problems. For years I had been telling other doctors that I though that something was not quite right with one of my boys, a, sinus infection or something. Other doctors ignored me but Dr. Block listened ordered a sinus Xray. It turned out that my son had a horrible sinus infections that he had for years. Dr. Block is very respectful of my boys and they in turn
are very comfortable with him.
Dr. Block is kind and knowledgeable and respectful of both the child and their parents. I would highly recommend him.

i think Dr Block is a great doctor! He is knowledgeable and doesn’t bow to common ‘myths’ about treating childhood problems. He isn’t paranoid like some doctors are, handing out advice that is outdated with little scientific truth.
We have had emergencies with our son before and Dr block has always been accommodating to last minute appointments.
And yes, Dr Block may correct you on some medical stuff that you say, but i take it as a learning opportunity instead of being insulted.
