My daughter played club volleyball for 7 years, 2 years with Legacy. She moved to Legacy when Walt Ker started Legacy after a few years with another Valencia club. Bottomline, is that if your child is an outstanding, college scholarship bound volleyball player, he/she will receive alot of attention from Walt and his staff. If he/she is anything below that level, you will not receive the treatment you get from them for all the bucks you pay for the club. Yes, your child may end up riding the bench. Please understand that I don’t think that is a bad thing as players should get as much playtime as their ability warrants. What I do not agree with is that it was clear that at Legacy, you will be treated like royalty if your child is highly skilled. If anything less than that, you will not be noticed and even if the coach of the team would like otherwise, he/she will be instructed by Walt to play the players he wants played. He really doesn’t care about you otherwise. Which I believe is a terrrible business and team attitude. When people pay over $ 4K a season, the owner needs to show some customer service and give some indication that every child is wanted and valued in the program in whatever position in the rotation he/she is playing. This is a business after all not, Walt’s not doing it just to forward the sport of volleyball. He will happily take your money, hence, the no response cited by John, a previous review.

A top notch philosophy driven club! The coaching staff is fantastic and very professionally run. The Legacy club staff has a family core operation with a passion for what they do. There are coaches that are not immediate family but you would never know it. Everyone who coaches seems to have fun and act as if they are all family! There is always an upbeat positive friendly feeling while inside this building that makes one feel welcome and part of a huge volleyball family! *Walter Ker — the owner & his family all have volleyball and coaching in their veins. The Ker name itself is a legend in volleyball with some who have either previously coached at the college level or others who are currently coaching at the college level.

Very disappointed, pulled my daughter out mid season. Wouldn’t recommend it at all. Paid $ 4,000.00 to watch my daughter play less than 30 mins per tournament. When I sent the coach and club owner a email telling them my daughter would no longer participate, and how disappointed we were, they never bothered responding.
