2nd time here. 1st time was nothing to write about, it was okay. Was hoping this time would be good, not so much. Now the ambience was great, service was okay, but the food still lacked, just like before. I ordered the chicken fettuccine. It was 2 day old pasta and the chicken was dry and without taste. I always hate when restaurants think it’s okay to serve 2 day old leftover and charge premium price. I paid 20.00 for the plate. Won’t be coming back anytime soon. Just thought the atmosphere was not worth the price of the lackluster quality of food.

This was a great spot for a late night hang out. I came here with a friend. I liked the ambience and young hip crowd. We sat outside because it was a warm night. I ordered the spinach dip, ahi tuna and Moscow mule. The dip was a bit too oily for my liking and didn’t have enough spinach for me. Now the taste was great and if your a cheese fanatic you will definitely enjoy it. The ahi tuna was great. It was served in a cup. You have to use the spoon to to get to the avocado and cucumbers at the bottom. The mule was right on point! I would come back to try some other items soon

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner and had a great time. His pizza was made wrong, and they comped it and offered us free dessert. We refused but the manager insisted. We appreciated the hospitality.

The selection is highly electric, everything from basic fries to brick oven pizzas and chicken parmesan. Service is quick and friendly, and the atmosphere is fun.

One of probably many visits! We came in for the lunch special for the first time, which came to be worth the trip to Valencia. Linda was the best waitress! Other than being attentive, we loved her spunky personality and kindness. Unilocal has a free deal for fries, but Linda also suggested to sign up via email to get a free starter or dessert.(We chose the amazing White Chocolate Chip Brownie). One of the managers came by and heard that it was our first visit. He then gave us a free Parmesan Flatbread for the table. What more could we ask for? Oh yeah… The cute dog décor, but don’t worry, the restaurant still gave off a classy feel. Our meals were great and served quickly. I definitely have to come again. I would compare this place to a CPK with more modern options.

This was our first time eating dinner here, and it is probably one of our new faves. We arrived after the dinner rush and there was no wait. The food was very tasty and the service was great.

Have to say I’ve always have had a good experience at Lazy Dog. The food is really good and the drinks are on point. Love their bunch on the weekend. I was there just recently and had a pineapple mojito, yum!!! Shared a few small plates with friends, delicious and shared pizza also very good! It can get a little loud inside so outside maybe a better option if that bothers you.

My family and I decided to come to Lazy dog for the first time. To celebrate my husbands birthday. We were delighted with the food, drinks and most of all for having such a attentive waitress … Named(Katherine) With a great personality. We will definitely coming back soon.

For whatever reason we just don’t have Lazy Dog on our radar… it’s usually very crowded and loud and we opt for the opposite. But we made our way in Sunday afternoon at 2(it was packed) and had a TERRIFIC blue cheese pizza! One of the best pizzas I’ve ever eaten… chicken, caramelized onions, truly an excellent meal with amazing flavors. Got a Unilocal deal on free Cajun fries(also excellent.) It was a great meal for tow… came with a large Caesar salad we split. Servers were fun and attentive. We’ll have to put Lazy Dog on our radar now…

This was my 3rd time to the restaurant and I had a less than stellar experience. Hostesses, our waitress, and even the manager were all fabulous. The food no bueno. The food was just awful. I don’t know who was cooking back there, but please I’m sure the men cooking at the prison put out better food. From the rice and chicken on my dates plate very bland and dry to my chicken salad cold, bland, and dry clearly there was no love in the air tonight. I’m coming back again next week with a girl friend. For the love of God, I hope they can get it together or I’m just going to find another restaurant to meet all my friends in Santa Clarita. Proceed with caution.

This restaurant is outside of a mall. Really nice restaurant with nice dog decorations. Good workers. There food is so good and there drinks are awesome. The food comes in a big dish. It’s really hard to finish it all. Waiter was really good with us.

I’ve been back numerous times since my first visit. The lunch specials are a great deal, I love the tortilla soup and corn chowder. The portions are very large in most menu items and the prices are super reasonable. Most of their desserts are in the 5.25−6.00 range and are very good. Never had a bad dessert. Service can be a touch slow, especially outside. We always sit outside because we bring our dogs. They love it there and the dog meal(chicken and rice or hamburger and rice) is huge(big enough for them to share). The kids meals are an awesome value too. 5.25 and it comes with a drink and a side item. The kids desserts are awesome as well.

This was a less enjoyable visit. Not the typical 5-star experiences that we usually get. The server wasn’t really on it and for a group of 12, you need to be ONIT! The food was very substandard compared to previous visits. It pains me to give Lazy D a 3-star but this trip was not very enjoyable.

Loved it! Both me and my wife on this, our first visit. For starters, the ambience is nice and doesn’t feel like you’re situated right next to a large mall. Very friendly staff as well. For an appetizer, my wife Jackie ordered the Chicken Tortilla Soup and let me have a taste. Delicious. And for our entrees I had the Bahama Chicken; a jerk chicken with their tiki sauce, cilantro black beans, pickled cucumbers and brown rice. And other then the rice which was a bit dry, an excellent choice. While my wife had the Campfire Pot Roast; with mashed potatoes and sautéed baby spinach. She loved it. I used some of her gravy to pour over my rice to give it some moisture. I also continued the island theme with a Jamaican Lemonade. So refreshing! For dessert, we ordered the Berry Crumble and I’d highly recommend it. We’ve found one of those spots we’d enjoy coming back to again and again.

Love this place for happy hour… The bartenders are the best in this region: fast, excellent, delicious, great portion sizes. I should mention ladies, they bartenders are easy on the eyes.

I’m frankly very surprised Lazy Dog doesn’t have a higher rating. Think of Lazy Dog like an upscale Denny’s. Its comparable to BJ’s in both size and scope — with a little bit of everything on the menu to satiate every kind of taste. It’s location at the Santa Clarita mall makes it a great post shopping lunch spot, or a standalone dinner locale. I especially like the wide selection of beers and mixed drinks as well as the plentiful happy hour menu food! Lazy Dog is cozy, and enjoyable year round, and has a great selection of food to quench the hunger of even the most pickiest of eaters. If you’re looking for a great post Six Flags romp spot, I would highly recommend Lazy Dog :)

I tend to avoid chain restaurants, but in Santa Clarita, there are not many options so my goal is to try every chain in SCV that I haven’t tried yet. I ordered take out and was quite impressed with the service by the staff here. Even if it was just for take out, they left an impression on me. The host to the person who took my order were all really friendly and helpful. Kind of similar to the«southern charm» of the employees when you visit a Chik-Fil-A. I ordered the half sandwich, half soup lunch special — chicken salad walnut sandwich, fries, and tortilla soup. I set my expectations low, but was really impressed with my lunch. The only complaint is their use of unripe avocados. I paid $ 1 extra to add it into my tortilla soup. I don’t think I’ll ever add avocado again because I don’t want another unripe avocado in my soup. Oh, chain restaurants. I can’t expect perfection. I would definitely come back for their tortilla soup sans avocado.

Rating is based only on the drink selection. A very average place, and not bad. They have some handicraft draft beers, which is a great thing and cannot be screwed up. The Sangria was very average. As I only came here for drinks, I cannot say anything about the food.
