Don’t have your wedding here! What you think you might save(because it’s can cheaper) will cost you more in the end and not worth it. We lost our deposit with this guy, who is most commonly known to always say«don’t worry», «don’t worry». I worry when people say that to much! We put a deposit of 2k after he showed us the pretty white lights the light up the facility and all that he has to offer about a year before the wedding. Well, we did a site visit a few months before the wedding and the pretty white lights on the gates were burned out, the flood lights in the garden area were no longer white, but multi color blue, red, green. I’m sure still nice for some but our theme was the white lights and he knew this. I verified it they were going to be white for our wedding. He said NO, and that I would have to replace the bulbs at my cost. Well he wasn’t going to change the bulbs because it turns out he had about a hundred of them @ 8.00 a piece would be 800.00. So another cost I had to deal with, then he was rude to me. I think these people got it backwards. Who’s paying who here? I think he wanted me to cancel all along so he can keep the deposit, just seems this way. So I took the loss to go with another venue that I felt more comfortable with because the guy at kelly’s seems shady. Even though I lost the 2k, I know I made the right decision cause my wedding was absolutely beautiful at the new locations and went perfect! Looking back I don’t think I can say that that’s what would of happened at Kelly’s. So if you have enough funds to loose your deposit then try it. If not, don’t attempt it.

Wow. Went to a wedding here, what a mess. Apparently, everything was great leading up to the wedding. My wife was in the bridal party so I got to see what went on here. The grounds are beautiful enough, and the outdoor setting great. This is where it ends. I was amazed as the owner hovered around before the wedding. He had to be asked several times to move out of some shots as he stood smoking a cigarette in the background. Once the owner retreated, the ceremony went off of without problems. The reception was fine as well. I was surprised to find that well drinks were priced at $ 7 for non top-shelf liquor. I made the mistake of opening a tab for my wife and I. The evening was just getting started really. We were outside with the groom. Suddenly, someone rushed out and told the groom that they were playing the last song. Apparently, at 9:31 sharp the owner shut the party down and told them this was it. This came without notice at all. The groom told me that they had told him that if the party was going, they could go later, up to 10:30. They did not get this in writing, so technically they had until 9:30. Really, there are so many better, classier ways to end a party. Emerging from your office reeking of cigarettes and telling them to turn off the music is not one of them. But it does not end here. Everyone was rushed out of there. The owner turned to the groom and put it on him to «tell these people to leave.» Really, I was amazed. In this economy is this the way you should treat customers? Maybe if you think it is a one-time party you could care less. But here is the beauty of Unilocal. I opted to leave right away, and left a very upset bride and groom here. I left so quickly I forgot to close my tab. Thankfully, the groom closed it out for me. I was shocked to see I was charged for two extra drinks. I was not the only person angered that night. A wedding is supposed to be a once in a lifetime event. Think very carefully before you plan one here. Apparently, the owner was as nice as could be before the wedding, so keep that in mind,

i miss this restaurant. i’ve been to this restaurant some time ago for an anniversary dinner. had a really nice piece of prime rib and a fresh salad for starters. the prime rib was cooked perfectly and was very tasty. the salad. OHMYGOSH. i have no clue what their house dressing is or what’s in it. but it’s GOOD! it was soo good i actually requested two salads before my prime rib got to me. the establishment doesn’t look all that from the outside. infact you might even pass it up on the street and not even think twice about it. it’s kinda sad actually seeing how good their food is. the last i heard. they closed temporarily. but i just checked their website and it says they are re-opening Spring 2009. thank goodness. i just hope nothing on the menu changed!
