Meh. It was a combo of sushi, Italian, and bar food. A college football game was on and it was loud. Service was slow too. My sushi was okay, but over priced for just okay.

Excellent service, food and atmosphere. Unfortunately the price is pretty high. Prepare to spend an extra 4 – 6 $ a roll than the price advertised on the deliversushi dot com menu. If money is not issue for you, it has a pretty upscale, and trendy ambiance.

This sushi bar is located in the lobby of the Hyatt Hotel. This Hyatt is a convention center and this is just one of the restaurants in the complex. I had my doubts going as some labeled it as sort of an afterthought, that they added a little sushi stand to the bar. That is not true, it is a stand alone area that has a full sushi menu. I enjoyed my meal and it appeared that a least one of the chefs was Japanese. Either way both sushi chefs seemed competent, though not very talkative. not an issue for me. The fish seemed very fresh and the rolls were well prepared. I deduct a bit for a lack of rice acidity. The rice was fine in the maki, but sort of bland. I like a bit of taste in my sushi rice as it should be acidified with rice vinegar. I also deduct slightly for the prices. $ 19 for a large roll that is not that large, is pushing things. Bottom line on prices, they have to charge more being that they are located in a high rent complex. Service was ok, and no major issues on that front. I view the lack of ratings here caused by convention attendees who eat here once during a convention they flew in to attend. It’s good sushi, just understand you will pay 20% more due to the circumstances.

The upside: fast and friendly the tobiko sushi was perfect: the right balance of rice and very fresh tobiko, tightly wrapped, and bit in half easily without the seaweed wrapping tearing to pieces. Lovely. I’d go back for these. Nice wine selection also The downside : seaweed salad too vinegary. rainbow maki unpleasant and odd. I am used to discrete pieces of crab, avocado, and cucumber in the interior. This had a long blarp of what seemed to be mayo mixed with pulverized crab. No avocado. No cucumber. It was like easy grainy crab flavored toothpaste. The exterior was also disappointing: the fish was all pale and not firm, as was the avocado. The whole thing was strangely flaccid and bland.

Fresh sushi FTW! Right off of El Camino, parking is okday — depends on the time I guess Hamachi lover roll– yummy! Spider roll — can’t go wrong with soft shell crab Sashimi medium — came with tuna, sake, albacore, and chefs choice(white fish, prob butterfish) Complimentary miso soup and salad, salad had too much dressing; would ask for it on the side Need to come back for the nigiri. Owner said that the uni is flown from Japan!

An unforgettable experience at Truya Sushi… Wow. The freshest bluefin tuna I’ve ever had in my life. The fish had just arrived fresh within the hour. Everything about this place is incredible. The wasabi was very fresh and nice and hot! The ginger was on point and the service was amazing. I cannot wait to come back and try the Toro! Thanks for the experience it was second to none.

I stayed at the Hyatt this passed weekend and had Truya Sushi for the first time and now I never want sushi from anywhere else! I had a spicy crunch roll it was DELICIOUS with an order of Toro sashimi. The Toro was SOOOOOOFRESH and now I can’t stop thinking about it. I highly recommend this place! :)

I never been to their actual brick and mortar stand alone locales but they have a small sushi counter at the Hyatt. Got a sashimi platter special with tuna, salmon, and albacore. Fish was ok quality and served a tad cold. The nice thing is you can order as little or as much as you want and it’s pretty fast.
