Supermath

Excellent Soroban school (Japanese abacus math) that lets a child progress at his own pace. The instructors are very good and the kids seem to be excited to learn mental math techniques. This soroban school is one of the best in the south bay. The technique and form they teach is the original Japanese style. They use a curriculum that they developed in-​house.
There is a daily practice time commitment and home work requirement (similar to any musical instrument study). The full course of study is a few years long.
Most kids seem to be enrolling at the early elementary age, though I have seen a few preschoolers.
My child’s math abilities have gone up since starting classes here. The instructor seems to be keeping him at a pace where he is challenged.
