Rudest old woman working the counter. Scoffed at my service animal– asking«really?!» And when I said yea she demanded his badge which I showed and yet still wouldn’t let us sit inside. Worst treatment –worst customer service. Never supporting this place.

The only place you should be buying linguica from. Store bought is ok, but over priced. 2 sticks at a store… about five bucks. That five bucks at Netos will get you around 3 to 4… fresh and locally made and better tasting sticks. Recently had one of their deli sandwiches… very good. Will be back soon

Our first time here, around noon on a Thursday. We were told we had to go out back and order what type of meat we wanted and it will be cooked to order. Outside there was a group of 12 people standing around and more people coming. There wasn’t really a line and most of the people were just waiting for their meat. So, we just went in front and told the guy what we wanted. 20mins later… our Italian herb sausage was ready. You can stand and wait or you can have a seat on the chairs that are close by. After you get your meat you go inside and you are asked what you want/don’t want on your sandwich. There are a few things(for an extra charge) you can get too… bacon, grilled onions, fries or onion rings to replace the chips… etc. As for the food… it was pretty good. We enjoyed our sandwiches. The onion rings were huge and had the right amount of crunch. We ordered two sandwiches(came with a drink and chips/or onion rings or fries) and the total came out to around $ 20. We even had left overs. If we are around the area we will definitely stop by again.

Service was silly. They came up and told us we couldn’t sit where we were sitting because it was reserved for a party. When we asked where there was seating she didn’t seem too concerned about finding us a place. Fend for yourself was her attitude. Here’s the right attitude: «hello, I’m sorry but this table is taken. Fortunately I have a table for you over here. Thanks for coming.» It was our first time there. So, that wasn’t a great first impression. The spinach salad was mediocre. The«roasted beets» were straight from a can I’m guessing. Certainly not roasted. Spinach straight from a bag and prettied up with some sliced tomatoes. Throw some goat cheese and pistachios on there(really not hard) and you’ll take that salad from a 5 to at least an 8. Sausage sandwich was fine. Too much mustard for my taste. Onion rings were very good.

Neto’s Sausage Burgers have long been a staple of our work section’s Friday lunches for many years going back to their previous, smaller location. They only used to serve them up on Tuesdays and Fridays but you can now enjoy their spicy goodness any day of the week; I think that has taken away a bit of the allure of this place for some people because you don’t see the lines at the grill that you used to get back in the day. That hasn’t slowed us down, though. We still try and get over here every chance we get. Quick note before I begin The following review is for their lunchtime only; I’ve never been here for dinner or one of their music events. –Sandwich: I’ve tried just about every type of meat they have to offer here at Neto’s, but I keep finding myself coming back to the Linguica. It’s right in the middle of their spiciness scale –with Herb & Onion being the mildest and the Calabrese being the spiciest– and I think it’s got the best flavor. They serve it up on a French Roll that’s pretty standard; they used to have more bread options, but I don’t think any of them are sorely missed. The Sammy’s come with the standard accoutrements(i.e., mustard, mayo, lettuce, tomato, etc) but the sausage is the star of the whole thing so why mess with perfection? 5* –Sides: You get a bag of chips and soda with your Sausage Burger but for only $ 1 more I highly recommend you upgrade to either the Onion Rings or French Fries. The Onion Rings are really good and they give you a pretty decent amount. Same thing applies to the French Fries; I normally prefer a thicker tater but these are pretty, darn good and they kinda remind me of BK fries. Onion Rings 4* French Fries 3.5* –Service: Dino is the man at the grill and he’s there to help you make your selection by answering your questions and offering suggestions. Also, if you don’t see it on the grill he’s more than happy to grill it up for you(if you have the time). The folks inside are friendly and efficient at taking your order to help the line move quickly. They’re so good they can tell what kind of sausage you ordered just by looking at it! They’re like Sausage Jedi! Neto’s definitely has a spot in my go-to lunch rotation and I try and hit it up once every few months, or whenever I have work in the area. There’s one guy I work with who’s very particular about where he eats and he has no qualms about coming here; it’s that good. So try it out for a team lunch sometime. You’ll thank me later.

The best sausage in the South Bay! Linguica and Brazilian Calabreza to die for. Worth the trip just for the sausage. I’ve not had lunch there, but it looks good. Local bands in the evening; worth a try.

My friend and I came here to see a band we know well. When we went up to dance, the staff came and«cleaned our table»…of everything but our water glasses and purses. The drinks that we’d left half full miraculously disappeared, and when we asked about it no one knew who had cleaned the table. We had spent at least $ 50 here already, and were planning on spending more, but their nonchalant attitude about taking away our drinks when they were half full squashed that idea. Nobody seemed to care, and I certainly don’t care to come back here ever again.

In it’s hayday — Neto’s was on the Food Network. Good sausages. The last two times I’ve been there for dinner, I’ve had rude service with mediocre food. Most recent experience… We weren’t even acknowledged when we walked in the door. Stood at the counter and was stared at by the staff. When we finally ordered and sat down, the server returned saying several of the things we ordered were NOT available. It’s 6:00pm — midweek! Why didn’t you know what you were out of? No fried calamari, no mac-and-cheese. The ribeye was not grilled — it was cooked earlier and just warmed up — there was no seasoning on the meat! What happened to the Neto’s of the past? As good as those portuguese sausages are… it is not worth the poor service and bad menu. Close the doors and just cater those sausages… seems like that’s the only good that remains… disappointed. Very disappointed.

This review is for the Friday night music show. I had no idea that this place hosted local bands. What a fun little place with a mixed crowed. But a $ 10 cover… and expensive drinks? Yikes. TENDOLLARCOVER to get in to a deli with a stage? Errrrrr. I’d come back but not if I have to pay 10 bucks to do it.

This review is for their products — the sausage and their lunch menu. I initially found this place because my barber shop(Big Jim’s) is across the street. Now I visit Neto’s every time I get a hair cut. Parking — excellent. Their building use to be a BofA in the past so they have both street parking and a huge lot to park in. The lunch special I get is basically a Italian sausage sandwhich. Kind funny how you order. You walk outside to where the guy is grilling the meat, you tell him what kind of sausage you want(The calabrese rocks BTW). He hands you a aluminum foil container with the cooked meat. They also slice the sausage in half, flatten it out and grill it so it comes out like a patty vs. tubed meat.(This was a new kinda preparation for me and now I do the same thing at home). Plenty of seating in side of the place. Its an odd layout. They have the food preparation, the deli/store, area to sit down, a bar and a stage and have live music at night. You take your metal container in side, hand it to the girl and tell here what you want on your sandwich. Or more like what you don’t want. Roll, lettuce, tomato, onion mustard mayo. And if you want just the sandwich or the special — drink and chips. The sausage is the star of the show here. The roll is just OK& except for this place I never put lettuce or tomato on a Italian sausage sandwich. The meat really carries the sandwich. After I order I always walk over to the deli — in the store and order up some sausage to go. They make their own sausage and it’s always fresh. They also have Spanish chorizo which you can’t find at your local Safeway. Along with the calabrese & chorizo they have linguica, Italian with spices or regular as well as bacon, steaks, etc. They also have a decent selection of Italian & Portuguese goods that you won’t find most other places. Am I a fan — for sure. I believe I’m still the Duke of Neto’s on Unilocal :-)

This place has my business for life. We ventured into the restaurant area on the evening before Mother’s Day hoping to grab a few packs of their famous Portuguese sausages. I almost cried when i saw the market was already closed. My husband and I asked the waiter in the restaurant area if there was any chance we could buy some sausages from him. He told us to wait a moment so he could ask someone(the owner?). A few minutes later a gentleman comes over to us and tells us he is going to open the market up just for us to get some sausages for Mother’s Day. Talk about excellent customer service!

I came here for a dinner meeting. Unfortunately, it happened to be one of the nights they had a live band, so it was unbearably loud once the band started playing and the customers started dancing. Obviously, that was our fault in planning, but up until music started, we had a very lively and awesome conversation. As for the food, the rich, smoked sausages sandwiches were excellent, but the onion rings were unbelievable. I can’t recall having had better onion rings. I would come again just for those.(Lastly, it’s a huge plus that the restaurant is sitting on an Ingress portal and near 10 others.) And the price we paid for dinner + music was next to robbery. Apparently, we came early and avoided the cover fee. Extra tip was given.

My Fiancé and I came recently, and we won’t be coming back that’s for sure. The female owner, and the other older blond lady working the front at night are some serious bitches. Rude as can be. Seems as if they think they deserve to be on some type of power trip. (I’ll note that the servers were nice and friendly. Don’t want this lady trying to blame a bad experience on anyone but herself) I have heard that the owner would not allow Marines in their dress blues, to use the restrooms! Keep in mind some of these Marines also happen to be off duty SCPD. The story surrounding the situation is both amazing and disgusting. Only a matter of time until they are out of business with attitudes like this.

Good quality sausages but so heavy it will put you into a near comatose state — not exactly the place I want to be in for the second half of my work day. Order outside — bring your sausages inside. I opted for what i thought would be the lighter option — a chicken sausage. Topped it with all of the goodies(sans mayo) and waited at my table for them to call our order. Don’t get me wrong, the sandwich was good. But maybe sausage patty sandwiches just aren’t my thing. The fries were good though. Come before the lunch rush. Apparently it get’s pretty packed during lunchtime!

My impression I got from the name of this place was that it was mostly market with a little food/deli counter on the side, but it was way on the other spectrum. There are many tables and booths, a bar, and maybe a few aisles of supermarket in the back corner. The name is so misleading! This is a fun place to have dinner with friends on a Friday night. They have a live band and average priced beers on tap. Beer plus live music = FUN! All the food was mediocre except for the delicious sausage sandwiches. Stick to ordering the sausage sandwiches because they are super juicy! They were full of yummy spices especially if you order the calabrese sausage because that one is hot hot spicy! I also enjoyed the roll used for the sandwich because it was so soft and doughy. It soaked up all the juices from the sausage nicely. On the other hand, the half order of penne with tomato cream was just mediocre. The pasta was a little over cooked and the sausage was dried out, but I enjoyed the creamy tomato sauce. The half order was huge! I was expecting half the size of what I got. I liked the live band and the price of food/beer. The sausage sandwich is $ 9, the half order of pasta is $ 8, and beers on tap are $ 4.50. I would definitely come back again for their unique sausage sandwiches. And to think that I don’t even like sausages in the first place!

Met with JD for a very late lunch today. We decided on Neto’s since we talked about it back then and we remembered today and it is close to SCU. Tried their Famous Burger. I ordered the Linguica Burger with everything. JD was surprised. I was surprised! Reason being I wanted to try it the way Netos wanted customers to enjoy it. It was $ 7+ with soda. We didn’t wait that long and food was ready. I really wanted to like my food. But I really couldn’t. It was boring and bland. The linguica which was butterflied just lay there. There was no mutual admiration felt at all. All I really tasted was the onions and the mustard. JD liked his other version that came with Callebrese(sp) It was tastier and more interactive in my mouth as well. I will still go back and try their sandwich called Massacre something. Maybe it will massacre my previous encounter. The staff is well mannered and very quick to help. Love their spacious clean place. Serious sandwich lovers can have tons of different options. You can get your sandwich in half with soup as well. It looks like some TV show is projected onto a wall there too. awesome idea. Free tons of parking front and side.

If you love sausages, try Neto’s sausage burgers as seen on the food network on TV. Whether it’s linguica, calabrese, Italian with herbs or herbs and onion, you’re sure to be satisfied with the fresh made and well seasoned sausages. Your meal can come with chips or fries and a fountain of options for drinks, including making your own Arnold Palmer with raspberry iced tea and lemonade. Other options for appetizers and soups include soups, pastas and other dishes that you pay for at the counter and pick up when your name is called. When you’re done eating, don’t forget to buy some sausages, cheeses, dried meats and other unique grocery items from their market. Service is fast, friendly and helpful. The ambiance and décor is simple given the eatery is like a cafeteria outside and inside with nice chairs and tables fit for a former bank. Parking is ample outside in their lot.

When MY heard that I had been on a bit of a sandwich tour, she decided to take me to Neto’s Sausage. On a quiet Saturday morning, we found ourselves in the area and stopped by the somewhat out-of-the-way shop. It has not moved to their new digs yet, but I was happy to try the original location. When we first entered, we were greeted by sausages. No sandwiches or menu was easily visible. Seeing our confusion, the cashier handed us a menu. It seems BBQ here, which people rave about, is only served Tuesdays and Fridays. They bbq sausages, chicken and more and serve them on sandwiches. What excited me about the BBQ was the idea of hot sandwiches, something that has eluded me thus far. The cashier sadly told me today had no BBQ and that the sandwiches were cold. After hearing me whine a bit about cold sandwiches(ie: cause of the rain and cold outside), she offered to «heat» them up. Frankly, it was better than nothing. I got a smoked turkey sandwich and MY got a Neto sandwich, with their famous sausage. Both sandwiches were similar in size and much narrower than Mr. Pickle’s or my other recent stops. But the flavor was good and with plentiful servings of meat, enough for a meal. The star here was the sausage and even though the one we had was cold, I could tell the spiciness and flavor would have been great hot. I bought a pack of the sausages to go and was glad to have at least tried the spot. I can’t wait to get those sausages on a grill and eat them the way they were meant to be eaten: piping hot. Neto’s accepts credit cards but not Amex. The sandwiches are also on the pricey side~about $ 10, but do include a bag of chips.
