I’ll revisit and possibly revise my opinion of the Ivivva at The Village in Larkspur, CA. My daughter told me that she has always had«great service.» Yesterday was my first visit; my granddaughter wanted this for her birthday gift and I am all too willing to do anything that will please her. When we arrived, we were very warmly greeted by one of the two sales women on the floor. That lovely greeter, evidently, had work that didn’t involve sales and she wasn’t on the floor most of the time. My granddaughter and I basically waited on ourselves, which was all right except that when she wished that she could find something to go with one pair of shorts, I asked the sales woman on the floor if there was a top with one or more of the same colors. Her reply«That’s an older piece, so the tops are probably already sold«was completely unhelpful. I wanted to say… but didn’t…that I worked retail all through high school and college and, if a customer approached me with a question like that, I would have found something that would work. The«Meh» review is based on our experience checking out, however. Not just that incident. When we brought our items to her, she went through the process of disengaging the security clips and swiping the tags, never once looking at my granddaughter or me. The only thing she said was to sign the card reader. She bagged our items and handed the bag to my granddaughter without even looking at her! Finally, I said«Thank You» and was able to, at least, get a thank you parroted back. I spent over $ 200, not that that should be controlling. When and if I return, I probably won’t spend that amount. This was a Birthday gift. My credit receipt lists, not a name, but a long number under«cashier.» Perhaps that’s what she thinks she’s been employed to be. Nothing more. The two stars is to give some credit to the warm greeter and the adorable and well displayed and easy to access merchandise. My granddaughter is delighted. So that’s a Big Star. We’ll be back, maybe. If so, I’ll review, again.

The girls that work here could not be more adorable – they were so sweet and helpful to both my daughter and I! :-) The inventory of sizes 10’s and 12’s are very scarce, which made things challenging. However, in the end we ordered what we couldn’t find online. Their stuff is so cute, durable and perfect for any sport young girls are involved in.

LOVE! The customer service is top-notch, they take the time to remember the girls who come in and what their favorite sport is, and they offer free fitness classes on Sundays. My daughter is proud to be a tomboy, but that doesn’t mean she wants to dress like a boy. She loves PE because«it’s like a third recess.» She wants to run, move freely, and not have uncomfortable clothes sticking to her. I have a hard time finding her activewear that actually holds up for her activity level(running, soccer), and that’s still presentable when we have nicer places to go. I’m not talking about getting fancy, but boy soccer shorts and an oversized track jersey should not be an option, yet that WAS her go-to outfit. Ivivva is finally a way for us to meet in the middle: she gets her comfy clothes, and I get her wearing adorable(and presentable) outfits. The clothing changes often, and there are numerous styles within each sport(running, dance, tennis, etc) plus the basics that Lululemon is famous for(tops, sweaters, headbands, pants and crops). And they even have activewear dresses! We haven’t ventured out that far yet to actually out her in a dress, but in the back of my mind I know where to find one. We have been to this store three times in the last three months, and they remember us every time. This is the only place I’ll shop for my 10 year old!

First actual Ivivva store in Northern California!!! Its great to see Ivivva opening more stores in the states. Ivivva is the same company as Lululemon but made for girls. It is a great alternative to Lululemon since everything is made of the same material and it is also cheaper. If you are on the petite end(size 2 or smaller, 5“1 or shorter) the fit will be better than Lululemon. The crops will hit the right places and the shorts won’t be too long. They also provide padding for clothes with built in bras for sizes 10 or larger. The sales people are also exceptionally nice and knowledgeable. They can give you the breakdown of which items are identical to Lululemon and what each item is made of. Every time I walk into the store, I am greeted with great customer service. The sales person would look through the store to find your size. They will even pull the clothes off the mannequins to get you the right size. You also get a reusable bag with your purchase. The bag more colorful and fun than Lululemon’s so it’s something different. I would recommend this store if you are on the petite end and want something fitted or a cheaper alternative to Lululemon.
