First off, the supervisor Jonathan is so so friendly! We came here for a late night meal because nothing in San Jose is ever open past 9pm so why not. Server didn’t seem too happy to be there, didn’t greet us and was rushing us because it was almost closing time. Food came out quick, tasteless and nothing special. Two drinks and two meals for $ 40? What in the world!!! Tasted like Denny’s food at a chilis price. I wasted my money for sure because food was not worth that at all!!! I all not be coming back and wish I could get my money back. True disappointment. I have two stars cause of the manager, he was sweet!

In a death spiral. Should have walked out immediately when I smelled the rancid cooking oil permeating the air. I can still smell it on me 30 minutes later. I was seated at a table that was cracked, scarred and had fresh coffee stains on it. The hostess ran her fingers on the stain, but still seated me there and didn’t have anyone come clean it up. The waiter was very friendly. But I only saw him twice even though they weren’t busy — once when he took my order and once when he dropped off my food. The whites of the sunnyside-up eggs were not fully cooked and runny. Yeah, it’s hard for me to get this right at home but every restaurant on the planet gets it right. Except them. The toast was made from poor quality bread, was cold and had only been buttered on one side. No one came to see if I needed anything else. After I finished the tiny glass of ice water they gave me I moved it to the edge of the table to give them the hint but it went unfilled. No one ever gave me my check and I finally had to just walk up to the cashier and wait for someone to ring me up. Why two stars instead of one? It is IHOP after all. You don’t expect perfection. The server was friendly, just not good. All these signs point to this location being in its death throes. If nothing drastic is done it will only get worse and worse until it goes out of business. Now I need to go take a shower and wash my clothes. I still smell that rancid cooking oil. There are some places you don’t save money in the restaurant industry and not changing your cooking oil is one of them.

Either they don’t have enough people or they just purposely made us wait. We sat down and waited over 30mins before a waiter came. By then it was too late, we left enough money to cover the drinks and left. Waiter wasn’t even apologetic! Next time I will go and just left the change as tips, and I gotta make sure I have enough time to waste to occupy their table!

Will not honor free birthday pancake coupons given by IHOP corporate. Called and complained to corporate. Waiting to hear back from the restaurant owners. Way to ruin what should have been a positive experience into ensuring that we never return.

First time dining at an ihop restaurant with my bf. This place is pretty packed especially on weekend mornings. Just a heads up for Sundays the is a long queue. Other than that it’s a pretty decent place. The atmosphere was pretty cosy. The waiter was really super friendly. Greeted with a positive attitude, took our orders and refilled our drinks every time. The food was good. My bf ordered a breakfast sausage with hash browns potatoes and scramble eggs with a side cake. The sausage was a little too salty but it was still delicious. I ordered the strawberry crêpe pancake. Super sweet but pretty good.

There food is great, but there management is not. First of all there service isn’t very good there very nice but they don’t seem to know what there doing. Also they are kind of slow but you can deal with it because when the food does come its delicious. Over all its a great place to go with your family or just by yourself.

Avoid the omelettes. They were too cheesy and the veggies were old. Pancakes were good.

1star because the food was ok. Other than than, TERRIBLESERVICE! We had a waitress who was rude because she couldn’t understand my friend since her English was broken so she was disrespectful by turning to me with her back to him saying«I’m gonna talk to you,» because she SEEMED to understand me better. Later we found out she still got our damn order wrong. Then she came back gave us cold coffee and forgot all about us because she started sitting down eating with her family and stopped serving us. She basically took her break without telling us anything. Then some other guy had a shitty look on his face walking around while the other said loud and clear that he was going on break and never really got one. Shortly after that; some other lady came to bring us our food and gave us double the order because the first waitress messed the order up when I added spinach. We told her we didn’t want the extra order and she looked confused like we did something wrong. We also asked her for hotter coffee which she replied saying she’ll find our waitress. She never came back so I stood up to look for someone who was paying attention and the guy(who was waiting on everyone else asking them if everything is okay while we’re sitting here obviously not being served…) and I asked him for hotter coffee and he came back shortly saying he’s waiting for it to heat up… But lol get this, he got two other tables two piping hot coffee pots, then he came to us giving us the tab we never even asked for yet. After he did that he walked away fast but I loudly said(to him for the second time and third in general) «can we get some coffee!» He didn’t respond and came back with some coffee like 3mins later. We sat for 10 minutes and no one picked up the check. So I went to the front register to pay and I guess the people in front of me we’re doing the same thing and I had a serious look on my face so the manager would see I wasn’t happy. She asked if everything was ok and I straight up said«no the entire left side service was extremely terrible and that she should hire new people and she sort of shut me up saying«ok thank u for ur opinion» didn’t offer a discount or anything.

We went here to get the free pancake deal. Even though the Internet says ihop is giving pancakes till 7pm. This one has decided to cut off the free pancakes 4 hours early.

I only stopped in here because I needed some early morning breakfast and I was really hoping that the food would have been good. The food was abysmal and the service was just at the same level. I would definitely not go here again.

Off the top I can defiantly say this ihop need to be remodel in every way posible. The brathom is gross and may I say I do not always reviewed the bathroom. The service was ok I saw 4 different people 1– to be seated, 2– drinks, 3– to order and last 4– serving the food. I kinda fealt like I was at the flemarket with all the advertiment my waitress did lol she was seling the menu. Last after our food was serve there was no waitress in sight for my hubby to get a soda refill so I ended up sharing my water with him(p.s. Water was gross). On the last note I ask the waitress to be seated in a different location and her response was«no all other areas are close» really. I am glad I do not live around this area and thankfull for my Ihop location in Newark. Really made me appreciate the little mistakes they do. Will never be returning to this ihop location again.

Only giving this place two stars because the food is pretty good. Otherwise, this place has THEWORSTSERVICE. Read ahead to see the full story. Pros: –Food Cons: –Service –Just about everything else I’ve been here a few times because their breakfast menu is pretty great, but all the times I’ve been here I’ve experienced awful waiters. Eh experience #1: I came here once back in May and my waiter was very nice and sweet, but he forgot my order. And my drink. Pretty bad experience #2: I came here on July 4th, so it was pretty packed. I was here with 3 other friends and it took us so long to get seated even though there were many empty tables. IHOP lacks a lot of waiters. And when we sat down, we were all ready to order, and the waiter took so long to come around. I asked for a water refill twice and I didn’t get it, and they messed my order up and it didn’t come either. Which sucked. Absolute worst experience #3: I decided to give this place another shot after the first two misses, and so I came here pretty early(around 8) with my friends after we went hiking. The server was an old lady but she was fairly nice and to my surprise, our food came really quickly. It was quiet, not many people, and I actually got my water refills this time. However, when we went to pay(there’s a cashier you walk up to), there was a female college student at the register who muttered something under her breath as we walked up. Uh oh. Red flag already. We asked to split the check into 4 parts, and gave her our receipt and waited for her to do so. She asked us what we ordered, so we just asked for her to split it into four equal parts After about two minutes of awkwardly waiting, we turned back to the girl and repeated again if we could split our check evenly. She immediately snapped at us saying, «I was waiting for you guys to say something you didn’t say anything so I’m going to repeat it again. What did you guys order?» One of my friends said, «oh can you just split it into 4 equal parts?» since we obviously don’t remember exactly what we ordered. She repeated again, «just tell me what you ordered» and then muttered under her breath«oh my god» and rolled her eyes. After a few seconds, she gave us two receipts and said«$ 21.08». We said«wait we said four equal checks…» and then she rolled her eyes again and took back the receipts. She said AGAIN, «guys just tell me what you ordered». By this point we were clearly not going to get our 4 equal parts so we just paid separately for our own orders. However, my friend and I ordered similar things but they were just a little different, but both our orders came with caramel pancakes. Once she got to our ordered, she said«caramel pancakes» and I said, «which one? I ordered the ultimate sausage and egg combo and my friend ordered just the sausage and egg combo» and she said«I DON’T KNOW I DON’T CAREJUSTSOMEONEPAY $ 10.32». By this time, I was already ready to call her manager. I had seen her walk in, so she JUST started her shift. Absolutely hated her. So rude and the attitude has to go. We were all completely polite with her and she was mad for no reason Summary: Rude cashier, had some major attitude problems, left no tip.

This is better than McDonalds but not as good as Bill’s café. It is decent and quick if you go at the right time. Came here for breakfast this morning and no wait time. Order: banana crepes with scramble eggs and harsh brown.

Terrible service. Seated within 10min which was good. After that we were never attended to after placing orders and it took 45 to get breakfast for a party of 3. We had to inquire to get the ball rolling. Good finally arrived and was like warm to cold. I didn’t get my pancakes that came with the meal and had to inquire about those too. My expectations are very realistic for the food at a place like this however customer service is mandatory everywhere. The waiters here were confused constantly and we watched another party get up to ask for cream from a waiter because he never delivered it with their coffee orders. Definitely not coming back here.

Was craving for pancakes on late Sunday. Had a great time with roommates and we want to thank Lily for her exceptional customer service. She made our day. Thumb up for Lily. Only«downside» is she spoiled us and we are gonna be picky on our next visit. Lol. Keep up the great work

My friend and I got here for late breakfast, it was the closest one we could go to and we were really hungry. By the time we got there we got seated right away, we looked at the menu and within minutes we were ready to order. And it took us atleast 10 minutes till our server got to us and took our orders. the table next to us ordered after us and got their food before we even got ours. It took forever to get our food and we were starving. Servers were so rude to us when we asked for condiments. The only thing that made me not give 2 star to this rating is because the food was good. Only thing I enjoyed in this visit.

Love this place! Its easy access to freeway. Just off of Lawrence Expwy. Weekends can be very crowded. I love ordering the swedish crepes with sides of ham. Yum! For summer, they started serving splashberries drinks. Yum!

For the life of me, I could not say no to #nationalpancakeday. Coffee was $ 3, so I ended up paying $ 3 for a stack of fluffy pancakes and a small mug of coffee(no one refilled it for me, granted I didn’t really wave down any of the busy waiters). I liked the pancakes. It didn’t amaze me but at least it tasted good enough for me to finish three of them(ugh. gym later) I could have pancakes anywhere, but IHOP has those 4 syrups dedicated to each table. I ended up liking the traditional one the best. The butter pecan was extremely heavy, and strawberry/blueberry tasted very artificial(strawberry syrup was of this bright red color, straight out of a food coloring bottle). It was fun to experiment them all and take small bites of the pancake with different flavors. What I didn’t like was the cashier up front asking everyone for donation when they paid. Asking is fine, but she would ask every person in a party, and repeated«so. no donation from you?» when someone said no, making them feel bad. Also, a few people tried to get free pancakes to go, but she didn’t make generalizations about them. When this asian kid went up for the To Go line, she immediately said«You know, there is no free pancakes to go.» and he said«Oh. really. ok.» to which she replied«I knew it, I knew you would ask.» He ordered pancakes anyways and she repeated«You know, you have to pay for these right? ok? alright.» Well. I did see someone paying for the next table’s bill, so good things do happen here at IHOP :)

First, let me say that I went to IHOP thinking that you get some special breakfast for $ 5. I have no idea where I got this image from, or why I thought it, but I did. Well, it’s not true :-) Now, on to the review. The place was crowded on a weekday at around 10:30 in the morning. Who are these people eating breakfast then? The service was incredibly good. From the host to the busboys to the waiter, everyone was so courteous and treated us great. Their combo breakfasts include pretty much some of everything — bacon, eggs, hash browns, and pancakes. All were good. I really have nothing bad to say about this place. Even their coffee(which they leave an entire pot on the table) was tasty. I just can’t seem to bump it to a five, but as I mentioned, I don’t see many flaws with their basic breakfast food.
