Food: chicken tikka masala was creamy and flavorful. The bhindi masala was really well cooked and tasted delicious. The naans were really overdone and felt like eating nacho chips. The noodles were a little on the salty side. Service: really friendly service but can use a little improvement in terms of the wait time. There was just one person taking orders as well as serving. It took a while for the food to arrive, especially when the restaurant was completely empty.(Probably I am the only one who wants to eat Indian food on a Monday evening). Although the plates and cutlery were really clean but seemed a little old Ambience: it’s a small cozy place, a little off the grid in terms of accessibility and visibility on Unilocal when you search for«Indian food». Can definitely improve on the décor.

I have been here several times. They serve a good North Indian Buffet for $ 8.99. I love their appetizers, curry; they have a lot of flavor. The tandoori chicken is a hit or miss. I would give them a five rating if they can get their tandoori chicken right always. I love their Tea to conclude the buffet. Recommend this place.

Ordered the non-vegetarian dinner set for delivery. Don’t recommend ordering if your primary interest is the actual entrée that you choose. Comes in a plastic container that’s divided into one half and two quarters. The entrée that you choose gets placed in one of the small quarters, the saag paneer is in another small quarter, and the remaining half is filled with tadka daal(which isn’t very good). The dinner also comes with rice, which is infuriating since the description doesn’t indicate this and I wound up ordering and paying for an extra order of rice. Would not order again.

A basic neighborhood Indian restaurant. I went here a few days ago for lunch with some colleagues from work. The restaurant was a pleasant 20 minute walk from our office. We we saw the outside we had second thoughts about entering. From the outside it looks desolate and shabby. However, once you enter, it is nice; quite a contrast from the outside. For lunch there was a buffet consisting of several items, all of which were good. There were two dishes that I had not previously encountered. There was a decent tandoori chicken and a butter chicken. The food quality is good, but not great. It is a good place for lunch, and reasonably priced($ 9.82 for the lunch buffet, including tax). Given its reasonable price, decent food, and being a nice walk from work, we will return for lunches in the future.

We ordered and got the food delivered at home. They took quite sometime to deliver the food considering the fact that the restaurant was just a mile away. We ordered Veg momos, Gobhi Manchurian and Chicken Tikka Kebab. All the dishes were just mediocre. Chicken Tikka Kebab was very dry and wasn’t marinated well enough. We won’t be trying this place again.

Great Food! We loved the Chicken Momos. Will definitely come back again for those! We also ordered chicken Masala(Spicy) and Lachha Paratha. Lachha Paratha was good. Hardly any oil and seemed to have been slow cooked on Tandoor. Chicken Masala was good too. Although we had to add a litlle salt to match our taste but the Curry was very Flavorful …

This place has gotten lot better with new owner. Food is good, most of curries are good and fresh. Briyani and naans are nice too. Not too expensive and quality service.

BLUF: food is great, spicy but full of flavor. Survive exceeds expectations. Be warned food is vary rich and spicy. TL;DR: so went with my partner to this place last night and wow it did not disappoint. The first thing I noticed as I walked threw the door was a spicy smoke smell, probably from the tandoori oven. My mouth was watering before I even took my seat. The service was very friendly, we showed up very late and they were likely closing early due to lack of customers. Despite this we were seated and served regardless. Getting our food was a bit slow, however I kinda expected this. The server was very kind and gave us complementary desert. Now about the food, were do I even start. The food was beyond great. I ordered my dish mild and even that was full of good spicy flavor, perfect for what I would expect of Indian cuisine. Go here you will not be disappointed.

My husband brought me here for our mid-week lunch date… We were both pleasantly surprised, the buffet lunch had a wonderful variety of food items and they had my favorite«Chai»(unlimited self-serve). Also, unlimited«naan bread» with the buffet lunch — my husband loved that! The gentleman who helped us was very kind and checked in on us frequently and made sure my sweetie-pie never ran out of bread… We’d definitely come back and will bring our son next time and try the regular menu.

Delicious food, which is little different(in a good way) from the traditional Indian restaurants that you may find in South Bay. And the food is cheap too. Ambience is not great, which is fine with me as long as food is good.

Wow! Hands down the best noodles and chicken momos I’ve had in California! The spice level is simply perfect. You can ask them to make a dish spicy and you’ll get a taste of India. Their curries are very flavorful and creamy. Great dishes — 1. Chicken /veg noodles 2. Chicken momos 3. Paneer butter masala 4. Gajar halwa — sweet, light and so fresh! Been to this place so many times till now and will be going again soon! Te prices are good too, cheaper than many places which don’t even serve food half as good as this place! Wish I could give more stars! Love this place!

I love their Momos! Both chicken and veg momos are really good and keep bringing me back to this place. The dipping sauce that comes with them is also very flavourful. Apart from that I usually get the mutter paneer or the kofta. The spice level can be tailored according to your taste, as with most Indian restaurants in the bay area. The naans are fresh and soft. I usually do take outs here but once or twice when we did dine in, the service was great. Overall, really like the food. and the momos… love love love them !!!

I’m a huge fan of this place. Their fare reminds me of Himalayan Kitchen, the crown jewel of Indian/Himalayan/Nepalese food in the South Bay if you ask me. I typically order the butter chicken which is exactly the kind of butter chicken you want, with bhindi masala(fried okra), fish pakora, and/or the Bombay fish curry. All are extremely well-priced and huge portions. Their lunch buffet is also excellent. They do have the same items every day, but the vegetarian items are unique, fresh, and delicious. This was how I was introduced to Chaat Papdi, which I wish they offered on their dinner menu! The salad with pickled vegetables is also a great contrast to the heavier meat dishes. And I am all about the cauliflower korma or masala, can’t remember what it’s called. The meat dishes can be on the greasier side, but you’ll live. Naan is so cheap at $ 1.25 and it’s the best I’ve ever had. So many leftovers, so many spices! Gah, I’m hungry now. Finally, they’re open late! You’ll probably want to get dinner as take-out, because the place is usually empty. Give them your business!

Pretty decent indian food you would expect from Nepalese restaurant. Ordered dal tadka, masala bhindi, garlic naan and lachha paratha. All very good except the paratha as it was done in tandoor I guess and not broiled on the griddle the classic way. Tad expensive for a dinner kind of place especially when is located in some god forsaken locality. The young lads outside liquor shop didn’t give me good vibe so I would avoid going alone or in the dark here. Perhaps best to order online and pick up. Not that atmosphere is great to sit and relax so you aren’t missing much… We were one of the only two dinner tables occupied on a Wednesday night so you get the idea. Owner or server with Nepalese accent at the front desk was very polite and sweet. Portions aren’t American size so a little bowl of bhindi(okra) priced $ 8.50 isn’t going to cut it if you are super hungry.

A very good restaurant in a not-so-good location. I wouldn’t be surprised if you miss it even if you’re actively looking for it while driving. The food is pretty good. I love their paneer tikka masala. They also make a mean mango mojito(virgin of course). Their 65 is also more to my liking, a bit on the crispier side and well done. I’d suggest taking out the food rather than dining in, just out of fear that your vehicle might get broken into(like I said, a not-so-good location).

Cheap Indian food in a rather desolate part of Santa Clara. The interior is very whatever, so it’s definitely a place for cheap eats. There is a small parking lot on the side of the building. I got the navratan korma with medium spice. I liked the heat level but I thought that it could have used a tiny bit more salt. The flavor was not quite there. But I did like the side order of rice, despite having to pay another $ 2 for it. The mango lassi was good but the amount that they gave you was quite tiny(small cup). It was probably not worth the $ 3. The chai tea that they had inside was okay. It definitely needed some sugar though.
