Worst customer service ever! Tired to place a to go order on the phone they never picked up. As I stood in the lobby I could here the phone still ringing as they ignored it. When I was finally helped they had me wait while they did other things. Rediculious!!!

I love the food and their service! the server are very friendly and they will bring your orders as fast as they can! I tried the skewers skillets chocolate lava cake and it was really good I hope every Denny’s around this area will have the same best service that I experienced here!

Went there just for desserts and they were very nice. Had pancake puppies sundae, chocolate lava cake, and apple pie crisp.
The waiting staff was very friendly. I took out 1 star for the time it took to bring out the order.

Late night joint, 24 hour service, amazing desserts, ok food and non stop service. How can I give a bad review? This is the closest Denny’s to my place so can’t complain about late night chocolate lava cakes and Ice Creams. The only issue I had was once they were out of Chocolate Lava Cake, how can a restaurant be out of food. But anyways they had ice cream. That’s enough to make me happy!!!

Extremely bad service. We ordered just desert and had to wait like an hour to get our order. A lady was our server but after a while she was gone and never showed up. When we asked about the status they said that we dont know whether your order was placed or not. We left immediately !!! On the top of that the place is very smelly. Dont think proper hygiene is maintained. We are never coming back here.

I wish I could give 0 stars. I live down the street so this Denny’s is so convenient for me but the service and the food is disgusting. First of all they don’t greet you they don’t acknowledge you even entered. Then they take forever to get your drink orders. When I came in yesterday I ordered smothered cheese fries and they usually come with regular fries well I got mine with seasoned fries and when I asked they said it was because they didn’t have regular fries which they could have told me when I ordered I wouldn’t have wasted food and still ordered it. Then I also ordered pancake puppies that I never even got.
The food upset all of our stomachs right away. Some lady behind me also had said when I first came on that her stomach hurt because of the food and I didn’t think anything of it until same thing happened to all 4 of us.
Not only that but the manager on duty yesterday was a tall white man he came in smelling the place up like cigarettes touching everyone’s food. I couldn’t wait to leave.
I’ve given this Denny’s a few chances already. The only time we’ve ever received good service is when the short Mexican manager is on duty but we never seem to get him when we go. Find another Denny’s to go to even if it’s closer to you. It’s worth traveling a few more minutes to a better Denny’s then getting disappointed and sick from your food.

Denny’s is my sons favorite Restaurant, but I give up on this location. Denny’s really needs to start over with the staff. Does this branch even have a manager? On a previous visit my wife had to throw away her T-​bone steak. Tasted like it was dropped on floor and then washed and given to her. This time we were sat down and forgotten about for about 45 minutes, no drinks or anything, my family was playing a online trivia game and lost track of time, when we realized how long it was and that the elderly couple by us had not been served either, we got up and left. We passed many workers doing nothing as we left, none of them even acknowledged our existence.

I am completetly done with this location. The late night staff is incompetent. Customer service is terrible. I will be taking my business to a better restaurant that offers better service

Came here to have a nice breakfast with two of my friends.
We had to wait about ten minutes to be seated, which I understand because it was sort of busy.
However it took 30 minutes to get two of our dishes. I ordered the Prime Rib Cob Salad and my friend ordered Lumberjack Slam. The third dish didnt even come out and after 10 extra minutes of waiting, they tell us that they cant serve it. So he orders a different dish and waits 30 MORE minutes. He had to eat it while we waited, since we were done.
The food was alright, but the service was completely lagging. We didnt get our waters refilled either. It took us an hour and a half to eat breakfast when it should have taken maybe half an hour. Not satisfied.

Stay away horrible service Mario our waiter honestly if you’re to old to work you should retire he forgets what table orders what and constantly brings customers the wrong items ordered the Philly cheese steak omelet was nothing but burnt pieces of steak and veggies wtf been to many Dennys this one is the worst stay away plz

I wish I could give it a 0 star. I’ve never experienced such poor service in my life. My friend and I waited over 20 minutes just to get cups of water, and were cut off and very obviously ignored multiple times by the workers when asking for it. Our server was constantly complaining about her work as though it was our fault she worked there. I will never be coming back.

I will come back but make sure you check your receipt before putting down the plastic… things that are listed as specials somehow end up two dollars more than advertised. .and the server had no concern… the extra money came out of his tip. Point at what you want and confirm prices. Having said that blueberry pancakes are great.

Late night and kind of busier than I expected but I usually don’t go to this Denny’s. The waiter sits us and takes our order promptly which isn’t bad but he didn’t write any of it down. So he missed my drink order. My friend gets his appetizer without much explanation of it because it looked like someone ate half of it. We get our entrees which come out as expected for a Denny’s.
We split the bill which is $ 35 and some change. My friend pays his part which was a majority of $ 25. We leave tip on the table. So I pay the rest on card thinking I’ll see a ~$ 10 charge. Stupid me trusted that they can do the math. I look at my online bank statement and it says $ 20. It’s not like we were rude in any way or tried to cheat them out of a tip but the fact they charged more when the waiter clearly knew how much cash we handed him makes me not trust this operation to other Denny’s.
I should have asked for the receipt.

I love to eat here. Nice food and good people. Near by my place. Love their dishes. My all late night meals are from dennys

This was one of the worst dining experiences ever, seriously. We were ignored after behind seated and had to finally get up and ask for coffee. It wasn’t particularly busy and there was plenty of staff so that wasn’t the problem. It took FOREVER to get the food. And when we did, it was horrible. The hamburger meat tasted weird, like it had been sitting out for a while? Syrup had a strange texture to it that we’d never seen! Lol! No salt, or syrup or mayo delivered. Anyway. Don’t waste your money here with all the other fabulous breakfast joints in this area.

Poor service, 30 mins for food walked out. Waiter was nice, kitchen was disorganized.

This business is really busy. Maybe it’s just today but the service was bad. My server just came to take my order and bringing them. Didn’t even ask if I need anything else. Took 20 minutes just to bring the pancake puppies to start with but when I got it half of it is burnt and half is uncooked. When I ask to return it and get a new one the server told me it’s cooked properly and I said no it’s not. He took it and up to now I haven’t gotten it back and I’m already done with my break fast. Another thing when I order the same menu from the last time I was at denny’s from a different location it taste better on San mateo location than in Santa clara. It’s missing ingredients and really taste different. They need to improve the quality and guest service in this location.

Love be in denny’s by 1 am for choco lava and hot chocolate drink… So strong recommendation for all the choco lovers to stop by sometime :)

Ok service, ok price… but I thought food taste was very good. It tasted stale and not so good quality. I was expecting more from a diner. I guess it is s chain without much focus on quality of food.

One of the worst Denny’s I’ve ever been to after traveling and eating at various ones across the country.
Food is bland and stale. Even a quesadilla isn’t done right, with stale tortillas. The wait staff came and dropped our check when we hadn’t even had a bite of our entrée yet, and our actual server couldn’t even remember to bring our drinks without the manager coming over three times. Once the server dropped the check, no one came to our table again for ANYTHING. Not to refill our drinks, clear the table, or even offer us anything.
I don’t expect four star service at a Denny’s, but this place is ridiculous.
