Bell Electrical Supply

I run a business and any business owner will tell you that you don’t always use every part you purchase it’s just part of construction. Bell electrical doesn’t allow you to return anything even if you have the receipt and you come back the same day. That’s very frustration and for that simple reason I will buy my material else where.

I don’t know why anyone would say that the staff here is rude. It’s like Cheer’s ! Where everybody knows your name. But then again that was over 5 years ago. I’ve never had a bad experience. They have a Bell bucks program where they give away really cool and expensive gear. Also, they stock all the DLM products I needed for my Title 24 application. When I order shipments, I always am always kept up to date on the status and tracking information. They have all kinds of LED fixtures on their shelves at all times. They stock Diode and Soraa which is nice. Their office is being remodeled so most of the staff is located in their office across the street but the counter is still open.

Great customer service. All the sales guys are knowledgeable with the product they carry.

Looks like a great supply store, appears to be plenty of selection but the customer service could be described as borderline adversarial. I entered the store with a laundry list of things to get for a solar project. I had a question about an in-​line fuse and was hoping for a recommendation and was asked if I had a part number. I think he could surmise by the fact I was asking a question about what part to buy that I probably had not settled on an exact part number, but he wanted to take the extra step in shutting me down. He did offer his business card and encouraged me to call to check part number availability after I had done more research and knew exactly what I needed. I did that and bought from an online cut-​rate retailer instead. I would probably give them more stars if I were in the IBEW and had my part numbers memorized, but not a very helpful or friendly local supply store for the non-​tradesperson do-​it yourself type.

They indeed have very reasonable prices, but the customer service… I have been to my fair share of electrical supply stores, but this one has by far the rudest staff I have encountered.
